ཡོཧནཿ 7
1 ཏཏཿ པརཾ ཡིཧཱུདཱིཡལོཀཱསྟཾ ཧནྟུཾ སམཻཧནྟ ཏསྨཱད྄ ཡཱིཤུ ཪྻིཧཱུདཱཔྲདེཤེ པཪྻྱཊིཏུཾ ནེཙྪན྄ གཱལཱིལ྄ པྲདེཤེ པཪྻྱཊིཏུཾ པྲཱརབྷཏ།
After these things, Jesus was walking in Galilee, for he would not walk in Judea, because the Jewish leaders sought to kill him.
2 ཀིནྟུ ཏསྨིན྄ སམཡེ ཡིཧཱུདཱིཡཱནཱཾ དཱུཥྱཝཱསནཱམོཏྶཝ ཨུཔསྠིཏེ
Now the Jewish festival, the Feast of Tabernacles, was near.
3 ཏསྱ བྷྲཱཏརསྟམ྄ ཨཝདན྄ ཡཱནི ཀརྨྨཱཎི ཏྭཡཱ ཀྲིཡནྟེ ཏཱནི ཡཐཱ ཏཝ ཤིཥྱཱཿ པཤྱནྟི ཏདརྠཾ ཏྭམིཏཿ སྠཱནཱད྄ ཡིཧཱུདཱིཡདེཤཾ ཝྲཛ།
So his brothers said to him, "Depart from here, and go into Judea, that your disciples also may see your works that you are doing.
4 ཡཿ ཀཤྩིཏ྄ སྭཡཾ པྲཙིཀཱཤིཥཏི ས ཀདཱཔི གུཔྟཾ ཀརྨྨ ན ཀརོཏི ཡདཱིདྲྀཤཾ ཀརྨྨ ཀརོཥི ཏརྷི ཛགཏི ནིཛཾ པརིཙཱཡཡ།
For no one does anything in secret when he himself seeks to be known openly. If you do these things, show yourself to the world."
5 ཡཏསྟསྱ བྷྲཱཏརོཔི ཏཾ ན ཝིཤྭསནྟི།
For even his brothers did not believe in him.
6 ཏདཱ ཡཱིཤུསྟཱན྄ ཨཝོཙཏ྄ མམ སམཡ ཨིདཱནཱིཾ ནོཔཏིཥྛཏི ཀིནྟུ ཡུཥྨཱཀཾ སམཡཿ སཏཏམ྄ ཨུཔཏིཥྛཏི།
Jesus therefore said to them, "My time has not yet come, but your time is always ready.
7 ཛགཏོ ལོཀཱ ཡུཥྨཱན྄ ཨྲྀཏཱིཡིཏུཾ ན ཤཀྲུཝནྟི ཀིནྟུ མཱམེཝ ཨྲྀཏཱིཡནྟེ ཡཏསྟེཥཱཾ ཀརྨཱཎི དུཥྚཱནི ཏཏྲ སཱཀྵྱམིདམ྄ ཨཧཾ དདཱམི།
The world cannot hate you, but it hates me, because I testify about it, that its works are evil.
8 ཨཏཨེཝ ཡཱུཡམ྄ ཨུཏྶཝེ྅སྨིན྄ ཡཱཏ ནཱཧམ྄ ཨིདཱནཱིམ྄ ཨསྨིནྣུཏྶཝེ ཡཱམི ཡཏོ མམ སམཡ ཨིདཱནཱིཾ ན སམྤཱུརྞཿ།
You go up to the feast. I am not yet going up to this feast, because my time is not yet fulfilled."
9 ཨིཏི ཝཱཀྱམ྄ ཨུཀྟྟྭཱ ས གཱལཱིལི སྠིཏཝཱན྄
After he had said this, he stayed in Galilee.
10 ཀིནྟུ ཏསྱ བྷྲཱཏྲྀཥུ ཏཏྲ པྲསྠིཏེཥུ སཏྶུ སོ྅པྲཀཊ ཨུཏྶཝམ྄ ཨགཙྪཏ྄།
But when his brothers had gone up to the feast, then he also went up, not publicly, but as it were in secret.
11 ཨནནྟརམ྄ ཨུཏྶཝམ྄ ཨུཔསྠིཏཱ ཡིཧཱུདཱིཡཱསྟཾ མྲྀགཡིཏྭཱཔྲྀཙྪན྄ ས ཀུཏྲ?
The Jewish leaders therefore sought him at the feast, and said, "Where is he?"
12 ཏཏོ ལོཀཱནཱཾ མདྷྱེ ཏསྨིན྄ ནཱནཱཝིདྷཱ ཝིཝཱདཱ བྷཝིཏུམ྄ ཨཱརབྡྷཝནྟཿ། ཀེཙིད྄ ཨཝོཙན྄ ས ཨུཏྟམཿ པུརུཥཿ ཀེཙིད྄ ཨཝོཙན྄ ན ཏཐཱ ཝརཾ ལོཀཱནཱཾ བྷྲམཾ ཛནཡཏི།
There was much murmuring among the crowds concerning him. Some said, "He is a good man." But others said, "Not so, but he leads the crowd astray."
13 ཀིནྟུ ཡིཧཱུདཱིཡཱནཱཾ བྷཡཱཏ྄ ཀོཔི ཏསྱ པཀྵེ སྤཥྚཾ ནཱཀཐཡཏ྄།
Yet no one spoke openly of him for fear of the Jewish leaders.
14 ཏཏཿ པརམ྄ ཨུཏྶཝསྱ མདྷྱསམཡེ ཡཱིཤུ རྨནྡིརཾ གཏྭཱ སམུཔདིཤཏི སྨ།
But when it was now the midst of the feast, Jesus went up into the temple and taught.
15 ཏཏོ ཡིཧཱུདཱིཡཱ ལོཀཱ ཨཱཤྩཪྻྱཾ ཛྙཱཏྭཱཀཐཡན྄ ཨེཥཱ མཱནུཥོ ནཱདྷཱིཏྱཱ ཀཐམ྄ ཨེཏཱདྲྀཤོ ཝིདྭཱནབྷཱུཏ྄?
Then the Jewish leaders were astonished, saying, "How does this man know such writings, having never been educated?"
16 ཏདཱ ཡཱིཤུཿ པྲཏྱཝོཙད྄ ཨུཔདེཤོཡཾ ན མམ ཀིནྟུ ཡོ མཱཾ པྲེཥིཏཝཱན྄ ཏསྱ།
Jesus therefore answered them, "My teaching is not mine, but his who sent me.
17 ཡོ ཛནོ ནིདེཤཾ ཏསྱ གྲཧཱིཥྱཏི མམོཔདེཤོ མཏྟོ བྷཝཏི ཀིམ྄ ཨཱིཤྭརཱད྄ བྷཝཏི ས གནསྟཛྫྙཱཏུཾ ཤཀྵྱཏི།
If anyone desires to do his will, he will know about the teaching, whether it is from God, or if I am speaking from myself.
18 ཡོ ཛནཿ སྭཏཿ ཀཐཡཏི ས སྭཱིཡཾ གཽརཝམ྄ ཨཱིཧཏེ ཀིནྟུ ཡཿ པྲེརཡིཏུ རྒཽརཝམ྄ ཨཱིཧཏེ ས སཏྱཝཱདཱི ཏསྨིན྄ ཀོཔྱདྷརྨྨོ ནཱསྟི།
He who speaks from himself seeks his own glory, but he who seeks the glory of him who sent him is true, and no unrighteousness is in him.
19 མཱུསཱ ཡུཥྨབྷྱཾ ཝྱཝསྠཱགྲནྠཾ ཀིཾ ནཱདདཱཏ྄? ཀིནྟུ ཡུཥྨཱཀཾ ཀོཔི ཏཱཾ ཝྱཝསྠཱཾ ན སམཱཙརཏི། མཱཾ ཧནྟུཾ ཀུཏོ ཡཏདྷྭེ?
Did not Moses give you the Law, and yet none of you keeps the Law? Why do you seek to kill me?"
20 ཏདཱ ལོཀཱ ཨཝདན྄ ཏྭཾ བྷཱུཏགྲསྟསྟྭཱཾ ཧནྟུཾ ཀོ ཡཏཏེ?
The crowd answered, "You have a demon. Who seeks to kill you?"
21 ཏཏོ ཡཱིཤུརཝོཙད྄ ཨེཀཾ ཀརྨྨ མཡཱཀཱརི ཏསྨཱད྄ ཡཱུཡཾ སཪྻྭ མཧཱཤྩཪྻྱཾ མནྱདྷྭེ།
Jesus answered them, "I did one work, and you are all amazed.
22 མཱུསཱ ཡུཥྨབྷྱཾ ཏྭཀྪེདཝིདྷིཾ པྲདདཽ ས མཱུསཱཏོ ན ཛཱཏཿ ཀིནྟུ པིཏྲྀཔུརུཥེབྷྱོ ཛཱཏཿ ཏེན ཝིཤྲཱམཝཱརེ྅པི མཱནུཥཱཎཱཾ ཏྭཀྪེདཾ ཀུརུཐ།
Moses has given you circumcision (not that it is of Moses, but of the fathers), and on the Sabbath you circumcise a boy.
23 ཨཏཨེཝ ཝིཤྲཱམཝཱརེ མནུཥྱཱཎཱཾ ཏྭཀྪེདེ ཀྲྀཏེ ཡདི མཱུསཱཝྱཝསྠཱམངྒནཾ ན བྷཝཏི ཏརྷི མཡཱ ཝིཤྲཱམཝཱརེ མཱནུཥཿ སམྤཱུརྞརཱུཔེཎ སྭསྠོ྅ཀཱརི ཏཏྐཱརཎཱད྄ ཡཱུཡཾ ཀིཾ མཧྱཾ ཀུཔྱཐ?
If a boy receives circumcision on the Sabbath, that the Law of Moses may not be broken, are you angry with me, because I made a man completely healthy on the Sabbath?
24 སཔཀྵཔཱཏཾ ཝིཙཱརམཀྲྀཏྭཱ ནྱཱཡྻཾ ཝིཙཱརཾ ཀུརུཏ།
Do not judge according to appearance, but judge righteous judgment."
25 ཏདཱ ཡིརཱུཤཱལམ྄ ནིཝཱསིནཿ ཀཏིཔཡཛནཱ ཨཀཐཡན྄ ཨིམེ ཡཾ ཧནྟུཾ ཙེཥྚནྟེ ས ཨེཝཱཡཾ ཀིཾ ན?
Therefore some of them of Jerusalem said, "Is not this he whom they seek to kill?
26 ཀིནྟུ པཤྱཏ ནིརྦྷཡཿ སན྄ ཀཐཱཾ ཀཐཡཏི ཏཐཱཔི ཀིམཔི ཨ ཝདནྟྱེཏེ ཨཡམེཝཱབྷིཥིཀྟྟོ བྷཝཏཱིཏི ནིཤྩིཏཾ ཀིམདྷིཔཏཡོ ཛཱནནྟི?
Look, he speaks openly, and they say nothing to him. Can it be that the rulers indeed know that this is the Christ?
27 མནུཛོཡཾ ཀསྨཱདཱགམད྄ ཨིཏི ཝཡཾ ཛཱནོམཿ ཀིནྟྭབྷིཥིཀྟྟ ཨཱགཏེ ས ཀསྨཱདཱགཏཝཱན྄ ཨིཏི ཀོཔི ཛྙཱཏུཾ ན ཤཀྵྱཏི།
However we know where this man comes from, but when the Christ comes, no one will know where he comes from."
28 ཏདཱ ཡཱིཤུ རྨདྷྱེམནྡིརམ྄ ཨུཔདིཤན྄ ཨུཙྩཻཿཀཱརམ྄ ཨུཀྟྟཝཱན྄ ཡཱུཡཾ ཀིཾ མཱཾ ཛཱནཱིཐ? ཀསྨཱཙྩཱགཏོསྨི ཏདཔི ཀིཾ ཛཱནཱིཐ? ནཱཧཾ སྭཏ ཨཱགཏོསྨི ཀིནྟུ ཡཿ སཏྱཝཱདཱི སཨེཝ མཱཾ པྲེཥིཏཝཱན྄ ཡཱུཡཾ ཏཾ ན ཛཱནཱིཐ།
Jesus therefore called out in the temple, teaching and saying, "You both know me, and know where I am from. I have not come of myself, but he who sent me is true, whom you do not know.
29 ཏམཧཾ ཛཱནེ ཏེནཱཧཾ པྲེརིཏ ཨགཏོསྨི།
I know him, because I am from him, and he sent me."
30 ཏསྨཱད྄ ཡིཧཱུདཱིཡཱསྟཾ དྷརྟྟུམ྄ ཨུདྱཏཱསྟཐཱཔི ཀོཔི ཏསྱ གཱཏྲེ ཧསྟཾ ནཱརྤཡད྄ ཡཏོ ཧེཏོསྟདཱ ཏསྱ སམཡོ ནོཔཏིཥྛཏི།
They sought therefore to take him; but no one laid a hand on him, because his hour had not yet come.
31 ཀིནྟུ བཧཝོ ལོཀཱསྟསྨིན྄ ཝིཤྭསྱ ཀཐིཏཝཱནྟོ྅བྷིཥིཀྟྟཔུརུཥ ཨཱགཏྱ མཱནུཥསྱཱསྱ ཀྲིཡཱབྷྱཿ ཀིམ྄ ཨདྷིཀཱ ཨཱཤྩཪྻྱཱཿ ཀྲིཡཱཿ ཀརིཥྱཏི?
But many in the crowd believed in him. They said, "When the Christ comes, he won't do more signs than those which this man has done, will he?"
32 ཏཏཿ པརཾ ལོཀཱསྟསྨིན྄ ཨིཏྠཾ ཝིཝདནྟེ ཕིརཱུཤིནཿ པྲདྷཱནཡཱཛཀཱཉྩེཏི ཤྲུཏཝནྟསྟཾ དྷྲྀཏྭཱ ནེཏུཾ པདཱཏིགཎཾ པྲེཥཡཱམཱསུཿ།
The Pharisees heard the crowd murmuring these things concerning him, and the chief priests and the Pharisees sent officers to arrest him.
33 ཏཏོ ཡཱིཤུརཝདད྄ ཨཧམ྄ ཨལྤདིནཱནི ཡུཥྨཱབྷིཿ སཱརྡྡྷཾ སྠིཏྭཱ མཏྤྲེརཡིཏུཿ སམཱིཔཾ ཡཱསྱཱམི།
Then Jesus said, "I will be with you a little while longer, then I go to him who sent me.
34 མཱཾ མྲྀགཡིཥྱདྷྭེ ཀིནྟཱུདྡེཤཾ ན ལཔྶྱདྷྭེ རཏྲ སྠཱསྱཱམི ཏཏྲ ཡཱུཡཾ གནྟུཾ ན ཤཀྵྱཐ།
You will seek me, but won't find; and where I am, you cannot come."
35 ཏདཱ ཡིཧཱུདཱིཡཱཿ པརསྤརཾ ཝཀྟྟུམཱརེབྷིརེ ཨསྱོདྡེཤཾ ན པྲཱཔྶྱཱམ ཨེཏཱདྲྀཤཾ ཀིཾ སྠཱནཾ ཡཱསྱཏི? བྷིནྣདེཤེ ཝིཀཱིརྞཱནཱཾ ཡིཧཱུདཱིཡཱནཱཾ སནྣིདྷིམ྄ ཨེཥ གཏྭཱ ཏཱན྄ ཨུཔདེཀྵྱཏི ཀིཾ?
The Jewish leaders therefore said among themselves, "Where will this man go that we won't find him? Will he go to the Diaspora among the Greeks, and teach the Greeks?
36 ནོ ཙེཏ྄ མཱཾ གཝེཥཡིཥྱཐ ཀིནྟཱུདྡེཤཾ ན པྲཱཔྶྱཐ ཨེཥ ཀོདྲྀཤཾ ཝཱཀྱམིདཾ ཝདཏི?
What is this word that he said, 'You will seek me, but won't find; and where I am, you cannot come'?"
37 ཨནནྟརམ྄ ཨུཏྶཝསྱ ཙརམེ྅ཧནི ཨརྠཱཏ྄ པྲདྷཱནདིནེ ཡཱིཤུརུཏྟིཥྛན྄ ཨུཙྩཻཿཀཱརམ྄ ཨཱཧྭཡན྄ ཨུདིཏཝཱན྄ ཡདི ཀཤྩིཏ྄ ཏྲྀཥཱརྟྟོ བྷཝཏི ཏརྷི མམཱནྟིཀམ྄ ཨཱགཏྱ པིཝཏུ།
Now on the last and greatest day of the feast, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, "If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink.
38 ཡཿ ཀཤྩིནྨཡི ཝིཤྭསིཏི དྷརྨྨགྲནྠསྱ ཝཙནཱནུསཱརེཎ ཏསྱཱབྷྱནྟརཏོ྅མྲྀཏཏོཡསྱ སྲོཏཱཾསི ནིརྒམིཥྱནྟི།
He who believes in me, as the Scripture has said, from within him will flow rivers of living water."
39 ཡེ ཏསྨིན྄ ཝིཤྭསནྟི ཏ ཨཱཏྨཱནཾ པྲཱཔྶྱནྟཱིཏྱརྠེ ས ཨིདཾ ཝཱཀྱཾ ཝྱཱཧྲྀཏཝཱན྄ ཨེཏཏྐཱལཾ ཡཱཝད྄ ཡཱིཤུ ཪྻིབྷཝཾ ན པྲཱཔྟསྟསྨཱཏ྄ པཝིཏྲ ཨཱཏྨཱ ནཱདཱིཡཏ།
But he said this about the Spirit, which those believing in him were to receive. For the Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.
40 ཨེཏཱཾ ཝཱཎཱིཾ ཤྲུཏྭཱ བཧཝོ ལོཀཱ ཨཝདན྄ ཨཡམེཝ ནིཤྩིཏཾ ས བྷཝིཥྱདྭཱདཱི།
Some of the crowd therefore, when they heard these words, said, "This is truly the Prophet."
41 ཀེཙིད྄ ཨཀཐཡན྄ ཨེཥཨེཝ སོབྷིཥིཀྟྟཿ ཀིནྟུ ཀེཙིད྄ ཨཝདན྄ སོབྷིཥིཀྟྟཿ ཀིཾ གཱལཱིལ྄ པྲདེཤེ ཛནིཥྱཏེ?
Others said, "This is the Christ." But some said, "What, does the Christ come out of Galilee?
42 སོབྷིཥིཀྟྟོ དཱཡཱུདོ ཝཾཤེ དཱཡཱུདོ ཛནྨསྠཱནེ བཻཏླེཧམི པཏྟནེ ཛནིཥྱཏེ དྷརྨྨགྲནྠེ ཀིམིཏྠཾ ལིཁིཏཾ ནཱསྟི?
Hasn't the Scripture said that the Christ comes of the offspring of David, and from Bethlehem, the village where David was?"
43 ཨིཏྠཾ ཏསྨིན྄ ལོཀཱནཱཾ བྷིནྣཝཱཀྱཏཱ ཛཱཏཱ།
So there arose a division in the crowd because of him.
44 ཀཏིཔཡལོཀཱསྟཾ དྷརྟྟུམ྄ ཨཻཙྪན྄ ཏཐཱཔི ཏདྭཔུཥི ཀོཔི ཧསྟཾ ནཱརྤཡཏ྄།
Some of them would have arrested him, but no one laid hands on him.
45 ཨནནྟརཾ པཱདཱཏིགཎེ པྲདྷཱནཡཱཛཀཱནཱཾ ཕིརཱུཤིནཱཉྩ སམཱིཔམཱགཏཝཏི ཏེ ཏཱན྄ ཨཔྲྀཙྪན྄ ཀུཏོ ཧེཏོསྟཾ ནཱནཡཏ?
The officers therefore came to the chief priests and Pharisees, and they said to them, "Why did you not bring him?"
46 ཏདཱ པདཱཏཡཿ པྲཏྱཝདན྄ ས མཱནཝ ཨིཝ ཀོཔི ཀདཱཔི ནོཔཱདིཤཏ྄།
The officers answered, "No man ever spoke like this man."
47 ཏཏཿ ཕིརཱུཤིནཿ པྲཱཝོཙན྄ ཡཱུཡམཔི ཀིམབྷྲཱམིཥྚ?
The Pharisees therefore answered them, "You are not also led astray, are you?
48 ཨདྷིཔཏཱིནཱཾ ཕིརཱུཤིནཱཉྩ ཀོཔི ཀིཾ ཏསྨིན྄ ཝྱཤྭསཱིཏ྄?
Have any of the rulers believed in him, or of the Pharisees?
49 ཡེ ཤཱསྟྲཾ ན ཛཱནནྟི ཏ ཨིམེ྅དྷམལོཀཱཨེཝ ཤཱཔགྲསྟཱཿ།
But this crowd that does not know the Law is accursed."
50 ཏདཱ ནིཀདཱིམནཱམཱ ཏེཥཱམེཀོ ཡཿ ཀྵཎདཱཡཱཾ ཡཱིཤོཿ སནྣིདྷིམ྄ ཨགཱཏ྄ ས ཨུཀྟྟཝཱན྄
Nicodemus (he who came to him before, being one of them) said to them,
51 ཏསྱ ཝཱཀྱེ ན ཤྲུཏེ ཀརྨྨཎི ཙ ན ཝིདིཏེ ྅སྨཱཀཾ ཝྱཝསྠཱ ཀིཾ ཀཉྩན མནུཛཾ དོཥཱིཀརོཏི?
"Does our Law judge a man, unless it first hears from him personally and knows what he does?"
52 ཏཏསྟེ ཝྱཱཧརན྄ ཏྭམཔི ཀིཾ གཱལཱིལཱིཡལོཀཿ? ཝིཝིཙྱ པཤྱ གལཱིལི ཀོཔི བྷཝིཥྱདྭཱདཱི ནོཏྤདྱཏེ།
They answered him, "Are you also from Galilee? Search, and see that no prophet comes from Galilee."
53 ཏཏཿ པརཾ སཪྻྭེ སྭཾ སྭཾ གྲྀཧཾ གཏཱཿ ཀིནྟུ ཡཱིཤུ རྫཻཏུནནཱམཱནཾ ཤིལོཙྩཡཾ གཏཝཱན྄།
Then everyone went to his own house,
