Иов 14
1 Человек, рожденный женою, краткодневен и пресыщен печалями:
"Man, who is born of a woman, is of few days, and full of trouble.
2 как цветок, он выходит и опадает; убегает, как тень, и не останавливается.
He comes forth like a flower, and is cut down. He also flees like a shadow, and doesn't continue.
3 И на него-то Ты отверзаешь очи Твои, и меня ведешь на суд с Тобою?
Do you open your eyes on such a one, and bring me into judgment with you?
4 Кто родится чистым от нечистого? Ни один.
Who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean? Not one.
5 Если дни ему определены, и число месяцев его у Тебя, если Ты положил ему предел, которого он не перейдет,
Seeing his days are determined, the number of his months is with you, and you have appointed his bounds that he can't pass;
6 то уклонись от него: пусть он отдохнет, доколе не окончит, как наемник, дня своего.
Look away from him, that he may rest, until he shall accomplish, as a hireling, his day.
7 Для дерева есть надежда, что оно, если и будет срублено, снова оживет, и отрасли от него выходить не перестанут:
"For there is hope for a tree, If it is cut down, that it will sprout again, that the tender branch of it will not cease.
8 если и устарел в земле корень его, и пень его замер в пыли,
Though its root grows old in the earth, and its stock dies in the ground,
9 но, лишь почуяло воду, оно дает отпрыски и пускает ветви, как бы вновь посаженное.
yet through the scent of water it will bud, and put forth boughs like a plant.
10 А человек умирает и распадается; отошел, и где он?
But man dies, and is laid low. Yes, man gives up the spirit, and where is he?
11 Уходят воды из озера, и река иссякает и высыхает:
As the waters fail from the sea, and the river wastes and dries up,
12 так человек ляжет и не станет; до скончания неба он не пробудится и не воспрянет от сна своего.
so man lies down and doesn't rise. Until the heavens are no more, they shall not awake, nor be roused out of their sleep.
13 О, если бы Ты в преисподней сокрыл меня и укрывал меня, пока пройдет гнев Твой, положил мне срок и потом вспомнил обо мне! (Sheol h7585)
"Oh that you would hide me in Sheol, that you would keep me secret, until your wrath is past, that you would appoint me a set time, and remember me. (Sheol h7585)
14 Когда умрет человек, то будет ли он опять жить? Во все дни определенного мне времени я ожидал бы, пока придет мне смена.
If a man dies, shall he live again? All the days of my warfare would I wait, until my release should come.
15 Воззвал бы Ты, и я дал бы Тебе ответ, и Ты явил бы благоволение творению рук Твоих;
You would call, and I would answer you. You would have a desire to the work of your hands.
16 ибо тогда Ты исчислял бы шаги мои и не подстерегал бы греха моего;
But now you number my steps. Do you not watch over my sin?
17 в свитке было бы запечатано беззаконие мое, и Ты закрыл бы вину мою.
My disobedience is sealed up in a bag. You fasten up my iniquity.
18 Но гора падая разрушается, и скала сходит с места своего;
"But the mountain falling comes to nothing. The rock is removed out of its place;
19 вода стирает камни; разлив ее смывает земную пыль: так и надежду человека Ты уничтожаешь.
The waters wear the stones. The torrents of it wash away the dust of the earth. So you destroy the hope of man.
20 Теснишь его до конца, и он уходит; изменяешь ему лице и отсылаешь его.
You forever prevail against him, and he departs. You change his face, and send him away.
21 В чести ли дети его - он не знает, унижены ли - он не замечает;
His sons come to honor, and he doesn't know it. They are brought low, but he doesn't perceive it of them.
22 но плоть его на нем болит, и душа его в нем страдает.
But his flesh on him has pain, and his soul within him mourns."
