1-я Царств 24
1 Когда Саул возвратился от Филистимлян, его известили, говоря: вот, Давид в пустыне Ен-Гадди.
It happened, when Saul was returned from following the Philistines, that it was told him, saying, "Look, David is in the wilderness of En Gedi."
2 И взял Саул три тысячи отборных мужей из всего Израиля и пошел искать Давида и людей его по горам, где живут серны.
Then Saul took three thousand chosen men out of all Israel, and went to seek David and his men on the rocks of the wild goats.
3 И пришел к загону овечьему, при дороге; там была пещера, и зашел туда Саул для нужды; Давид же и люди его сидели в глубине пещеры.
He came to the sheep pens by the way, where there was a cave; and Saul went in to relieve himself. Now David and his men were abiding in the innermost parts of the cave.
4 И говорили Давиду люди его: вот день, о котором говорил тебе Господь: “вот, Я предам врага твоего в руки твои, и сделаешь с ним, что тебе угодно”. Давид встал и тихонько отрезал край от верхней одежды Саула.
The men of David said to him, "Look, the day of which YHWH said to you, 'Look, I will deliver your enemy into your hand, and you shall do to him as it shall seem good to you.'" Then David arose, and cut off an edge of Saul's robe secretly.
5 Но после сего больно стало сердцу Давида, что он отрезал край от одежды Саула.
It happened afterward, that David's heart struck him, because he had cut off an edge of Saul's robe.
6 И сказал он людям своим: да не попустит мне Господь сделать это господину моему, помазаннику Господню, чтобы наложить руку мою на него, ибо он помазанник Господень.
He said to his men, "YHWH forbid that I should do this thing to my lord, YHWH's anointed, to put forth my hand against him, since he is YHWH's anointed."
7 И удержал Давид людей своих сими словами и не дал им восстать на Саула. А Саул встал и вышел из пещеры на дорогу.
So David restrained his men with these words and did not allow them to rise against Saul. And Saul rose up out of the cave, and went on his way.
8 Потом встал и Давид, и вышел из пещеры, и закричал вслед Саула, говоря: господин мой, царь! Саул оглянулся назад, и Давид пал лицем на землю и поклонился ему.
Afterward David also arose and went out of the cave, and called after Saul, saying, "My lord the king." When Saul looked behind him, David bowed with his face to the earth, and showed respect.
9 И сказал Давид Саулу: зачем ты слушаешь речи людей, которые говорят: “вот, Давид умышляет зло на тебя”?
David said to Saul, "Why do you listen to men's words, saying, 'Look, David seeks your harm?'
10 Вот, сегодня видят глаза твои, что Господь предавал тебя ныне в руки мои в пещере; и мне говорили, чтоб убить тебя; но я пощадил тебя и сказал: “не подниму руки моей на господина моего, ибо он помазанник Господа”.
Look, this day your eyes have seen how that YHWH had delivered you today into my hand in the cave, but I refused to kill you, and my eye spared you; and I said, 'I will not put forth my hand against my lord; for he is YHWH's anointed.'
11 Отец мой! посмотри на край одежды твоей в руке моей; я отрезал край одежды твоей, а тебя не убил: узнай и убедись, что нет в руке моей зла, ни коварства, и я не согрешил против тебя; а ты ищешь души моей, чтоб отнять ее.
Moreover, my father, look, yes, see the skirt of your robe in my hand; for in that I cut off the skirt of your robe, and did not kill you, know and see that there is neither evil nor disobedience in my hand, and I have not sinned against you, though you hunt for my life to take it.
12 Да рассудит Господь между мною и тобою, и да отмстит тебе Господь за меня; но рука моя не будет на тебе,
May YHWH judge between me and you, and may YHWH avenge me of you; but my hand shall not be on you.
13 как говорит древняя притча: “от беззаконных исходит беззаконие”. А рука моя не будет на тебе.
As the proverb of the ancients says, 'Out of the wicked comes forth wickedness;' but my hand shall not be on you.
14 Против кого вышел царь Израильский? За кем ты гоняешься? За мертвым псом, за одною блохою.
Against whom has the king of Israel come out? Whom do you pursue? After a dead dog, or one flea?
15 Господь да будет судьею и рассудит между мною и тобою. Он рассмотрит, разберет дело мое, и спасет меня от руки твоей.
May YHWH therefore be judge and give sentence between me and you. May he see and plead my cause, and deliver me out of your hand."
16 Когда кончил Давид говорить слова сии к Саулу, Саул сказал: твой ли это голос, сын мой Давид? И возвысил Саул голос свой, и плакал,
It came to pass, when David had made an end of speaking these words to Saul, that Saul said, "Is this your voice, my son David?" Saul lifted up his voice, and wept.
17 и сказал Давиду: ты правее меня, ибо ты воздал мне добром, а я воздавал тебе злом;
He said to David, "You are more righteous than I; for you have done good to me, whereas I have done evil to you.
18 ты показал это сегодня, поступив со мною милостиво, когда Господь предавал меня в руки твои, ты не убил меня.
And you have declared this day how you have dealt well with me, in that YHWH had delivered me up into your hand and you did not kill me.
19 Кто, найдя врага своего, отпустил бы его в добрый путь? Господь воздаст тебе добром за то, что сделал ты мне сегодня.
For if a man finds his enemy, will he let him go away unharmed? Therefore may YHWH reward you good for that which you have done this day.
20 И теперь я знаю, что ты непременно будешь царствовать, и царство Израилево будет твердо в руке твоей.
Now, look, I know that you shall surely be king, and that the kingdom of Israel shall be established in your hand.
21 Итак поклянись мне Господом, что ты не искоренишь потомства моего после меня и не уничтожишь имени моего в доме отца моего.
Swear now therefore to me by YHWH, that you will not cut off my descendants after me, and that you will not destroy my name out of my father's house."
22 И поклялся Давид Саулу. И пошел Саул в дом свой, Давид же и люди его взошли в место укрепленное.
David swore to Saul. Saul went home; but David and his men went up to the stronghold.
