Йов 9
1 Йов а луат кувынтул ши а зис:
Then Job answered and said,
2 „Штиу бине кэ есте аша. Ши кум ар путя омул сэ-шь скоатэ дрептате ынаинтя луй Думнезеу?
I know [it is] so of a truth: but how should man be just with God?
3 Дакэ ар вои сэ се черте ку Ел, дин о мие де лукрурь н-ар путя сэ рэспундэ ла унул сингур.
If he will contend with him, he cannot answer him one of a thousand.
4 Але Луй сунт ынцелепчуня ши атотпутерничия: чине И с-ар путя ымпотриви фэрэ сэ фие педепсит?
[He is] wise in heart, and mighty in strength: who hath hardened [himself] against him, and hath prospered?
5 Ел мутэ деодатэ мунций ши-й рэстоарнэ ын мыния Са.
Which removeth the mountains, and they know not: which overturneth them in his anger.
6 Згудуе пэмынтул дин темелия луй, де и се клатинэ стылпий.
Which shaketh the earth out of her place, and the pillars thereof tremble.
7 Порунчеште соарелуй, ши соареле ну май рэсаре; ши цине стелеле суб печетя Луй.
Which commandeth the sun, and it riseth not; and sealeth up the stars.
8 Нумай Ел ынтинде черуриле ши умблэ пе ынэлцимиле мэрий.
Which alone spreadeth out the heavens, and treadeth upon the waves of the sea.
9 Ел а фэкут Урса-Маре, Лучяфэрул де сярэ ши Ралицеле ши стелеле дин цинутуриле де мязэзи.
Which maketh Arcturus, Orion, and Pleiades, and the chambers of the south.
10 Ел фаче лукрурь марь ши непэтрунсе, минунь фэрэ нумэр.
Which doeth great things past finding out; yea, and wonders without number.
11 Ятэ, Ел трече пе лынгэ мине, ши ну-Л вэд, Се дуче, ши ну-Л зэреск.
Lo, he goeth by me, and I see [him] not: he passeth on also, but I perceive him not.
12 Дакэ апукэ Ел, чине-Л ва опри? Чине-Й ва зиче: ‘Че фачь?’
Behold, he taketh away, who can hinder him? who will say unto him, What doest thou?
13 Думнезеу ну-Шь ынтоарче мыния; суб Ел се плякэ тоць сприжиниторий мындрией.
[If] God will not withdraw his anger, the proud helpers do stoop under him.
14 Ши еу кум сэ-Й рэспунд? Че кувинте сэ алег?
How much less shall I answer him, [and] choose out my words [to reason] with him?
15 Кяр дакэ аш авя дрептате, ну Й-аш рэспунде. Ну пот декыт сэ мэ рог жудекэторулуй.
Whom, though I were righteous, [yet] would I not answer, [but] I would make supplication to my judge.
16 Ши кяр дакэ м-ар аскулта кынд Ыл кем, тот н-аш путя креде кэ мь-а аскултат гласул –
If I had called, and he had answered me; [yet] would I not believe that he had hearkened unto my voice.
17 Ел, каре мэ избеште ка ынтр-о фуртунэ, каре ымь ынмулцеште фэрэ причинэ рэниле,
For he breaketh me with a tempest, and multiplieth my wounds without cause.
18 каре ну мэ ласэ сэ рэсуфлу, мэ сатурэ де амэрэчуне.
He will not suffer me to take my breath, but filleth me with bitterness.
19 Сэ алерг ла путере? Ел есте атотпутерник. Ла дрептате? Чине мэ ва апэра?
If [I speak] of strength, lo, [he is] strong: and if of judgment, who shall set me a time [to plead]?
20 Орькытэ дрептате аш авя, гура мя мэ ва осынди ши орькыт де невиноват аш фи, Ел мэ ва арэта ка виноват.
If I justify myself, mine own mouth shall condemn me: [if I say], I [am] perfect, it shall also prove me perverse.
21 Невиноват! Сунт, дар ну цин ла вяцэ, ымь диспрецуеск вяца.
[Though] I [were] perfect, [yet] would I not know my soul: I would despise my life.
22 Че-мь пасэ ла урма урмей? Кэч ындрэзнеск с-о спун: Ел нимичеште пе чел невиноват ка ши пе чел виноват.
This [is] one [thing], therefore I said [it], He destroyeth the perfect and the wicked.
23 Ши дакэ бичул ар причинуи мэкар ындатэ моартя…! Дар Ел рыде де ынчеркэриле челуй невиноват.
If the scourge slay suddenly, he will laugh at the trial of the innocent.
24 Пэмынтул есте дат пе мыниле челуй нелеӂюит; Ел акоперэ окий жудекэторилор – де ну Ел, апой чине алтул?
The earth is given into the hand of the wicked: he covereth the faces of the judges thereof; if not, where, [and] who [is] he?
25 Зилеле меле аляргэ май юць декыт ун алергэтор; фуг фэрэ сэ фи вэзут феричиря;
Now my days are swifter than a post: they flee away, they see no good.
26 трек ка ши корэбииле челе юць, ка вултурул каре се репеде асупра прэзий.
They are passed away as the swift ships: as the eagle [that] hasteth to the prey.
27 Дакэ зик: ‘Вряу сэ-мь уйт суферинцеле, сэ-мь лас ынтристаря ши сэ фиу войос’,
If I say, I will forget my complaint, I will leave off my heaviness, and comfort [myself: ]
28 сунт ынгрозит де тоате дурериле меле. Штиу кэ ну мэ вей скоате невиноват.
I am afraid of all my sorrows, I know that thou wilt not hold me innocent.
29 Ши дакэ вой фи жудекат виноват, пентру че сэ мэ май трудеск деӂяба?
[If] I be wicked, why then labour I in vain?
30 Кяр дакэ м-аш спэла ку зэпадэ, кяр дакэ мь-аш курэци мыниле ку лешие,
If I wash myself with snow water, and make my hands never so clean;
31 Ту тот м-ай куфунда ын мочирлэ, де с-ар скырби пынэ ши хайнеле де мине!
Yet shalt thou plunge me in the ditch, and mine own clothes shall abhor me.
32 Кэч Ел ну есте ун ом ка мине, ка сэ-Й пот рэспунде ши сэ мерӂем ымпреунэ ла жудекатэ.
For [he is] not a man, as I [am, that] I should answer him, [and] we should come together in judgment.
33 Нич ну есте вреун мижлочитор ынтре ной, каре сэ-шь пунэ мына песте ной амындой.
Neither is there any daysman betwixt us, [that] might lay his hand upon us both.
34 Сэ-Шь трагэ ынсэ варга де дясупра мя ши сэ ну мэ май тулбуре спайма Луй.
Let him take his rod away from me, and let not his fear terrify me:
35 Атунч вой ворби ши ну мэ вой теме де Ел. Алтфел, ну сунт стэпын пе мине.
[Then] would I speak, and not fear him; but [it is] not so with me.
