Salmos 83
1 Uma canção. Um salmo de Asaph. God, não fique calado. Não fique calado, e não fique quieto, Deus.
A Song of a Psalm for Asaph. O God, who shall be compared to you? be not silent, neither be still, O God.
2 Pois, eis que seus inimigos estão agitados. Aqueles que odeiam você levantaram a cabeça.
For behold, your enemies have made a noise; and they that hate you have lifted up the head.
3 Eles conspiram com astúcia contra seu povo. Eles conspiram contra os seus queridos.
Against your people they have craftily imagined a device, and have taken counsel against your saints.
4 “Venha”, dizem eles, “vamos destruí-los como nação”, que o nome de Israel não seja mais lembrado”.
They have said, Come, and let us utterly destroy them out of the nation; and let the name of Israel be remembered no more at all.
5 Pois eles têm conspirado juntos com uma só mente. Eles formam uma aliança contra você.
For they have taken counsel together with one consent: they have made a confederacy against you;
6 As tendas da Edom e dos ismaelitas; Moab, e os Hagrites;
even the tents of the Idumeans, and the Ismaelites; Moab, and the Agarenes;
7 Gebal, Ammon, e Amalek; Philistia com os habitantes de Tyre;
Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalec; the Philistines also, with them that dwell at Tyre.
8 Assyria também está unido a eles. Eles têm ajudado as crianças de Lot. (Selah)
Yes, Assur too is come with them: they have become a help to the children of Lot. (Pause)
9 Do a eles como você fez com a Midian, quanto a Sisera, quanto a Jabin, no rio Kishon;
Do you to them as to Madiam, and to Sisera; as to Jabin at the brook of Kison.
10 que pereceu em Endor, que se tornou como esterco para a terra.
They were utterly destroyed at Aendor: they became as dung for the earth.
11 Make seus nobres como Oreb e Zeeb, sim, todos os seus príncipes como Zebah e Zalmunna,
Make their princes as Oreb and Zeb, and Zebee and Salmana; [even] all their princes:
12 que disse: “Vamos tomar posse das terras de pasto de Deus”.
who said, let us take to ourselves the altar of God as an inheritance.
13 Meu Deus, faça-os como se fossem ervas daninhas, como o palhiço antes do vento.
O my God, make them as a wheel; as stubble before the face of the wind.
14 Como o fogo que queima a floresta, como a chama que incendeia as montanhas,
As fire which shall burn up a wood, as the flame may consume the mountains;
15 so persegui-los com sua tempestade, e aterrorizá-los com sua tempestade.
so shall you persecute them with your tempest, and trouble them in your anger.
16 Fill seus rostos com confusão, que eles possam procurar seu nome, Yahweh.
Fill their faces with dishonour; so shall they seek your name, O Lord.
17 Let eles ficarão desapontados e consternados para sempre. Sim, que sejam confundidos e pereçam;
Let them be ashamed and troubled for evermore; yes, let them be confounded and destroyed.
18 para que eles saibam que você sozinho, cujo nome é Yahweh, são as Altíssimas em toda a Terra.
And let them know that your name is Lord; that you alone are Most High over all the earth.
