Filipenses 2

1 Se, portanto, há alguma exortação em Cristo, se há algum consolo de amor, se há alguma comunhão do Espírito, se há alguma misericórdia e compaixão terna,

If, therefore, there is any consolation in Christ, if any comfort arising from love, if any participation of the Spirit, if any affections and mercies,

2 faz minha alegria plena, tendo a mesma mente, tendo o mesmo amor, sendo de um só acordo, de uma só mente;

fulfill my joy, that you be of the same mind, having the same love, of one soul, of one mind;

3 doing nada através da rivalidade ou da vaidade, mas na humildade, cada um contando os outros melhor do que a si mesmo;

doing nothing in strife and vain glory, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself.

4 cada um de vocês não apenas olhando para suas próprias coisas, mas cada um de vocês também para as coisas dos outros.

Consider not each one his own gifts, but each one also the gifts of others.

5 Tenha isto em sua mente, que também estava em Cristo Jesus,

Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus,

6 que, existindo na forma de Deus, não considerava a igualdade com Deus algo a ser compreendido,

who, being in the form of God, did not think it an act of robbery to be equal with God;

7 mas esvaziou-se a si mesmo, tomando a forma de um servo, sendo feito à semelhança dos homens.

but he divested himself by taking the form of a servant, and being made in the likeness of men:

8 E sendo encontrado na forma humana, ele se humilhou, tornando-se obediente até a morte, sim, a morte da cruz.

and being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient even to death, the death, indeed, of the cross.

9 Por isso, Deus também o exaltou muito e lhe deu o nome que está acima de todo nome,

For which reason God has highly exalted him, and, also, bestowed on him a name that is above every name;

10 para que ao nome de Jesus todo joelho se curve, dos que estão no céu, dos que estão na terra e dos que estão debaixo da terra,

that in the name of Jesus every knee should bow of those who are in heaven, and those who are on earth, and those who are under the earth;

11 e para que toda língua confesse que Jesus Cristo é Senhor, para glória de Deus Pai.

and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

12 Portanto, meu amado, como sempre obedecestes, não só na minha presença, mas agora muito mais na minha ausência, trabalhai vossa própria salvação com medo e tremor.

So, then, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling;

13 Pois é Deus que trabalha em vós tanto para a vontade como para trabalhar para o seu bom prazer.

for it is God, who, of his good pleasure, works in you both the will and the power to perform.

14 Faça todas as coisas sem reclamar e discutir,

Do all things without murmurings and disputings,

15 para que você possa se tornar inocente e inofensivo, filhos de Deus sem defeito no meio de uma geração corrupta e perversa, entre os quais você é visto como luzes no mundo,

that you may be without reproach and Harmless, the children of God, without blame, in the midst of a wicked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as luminaries in the world,

16 segurando a palavra da vida, para que eu possa ter algo de que me vangloriar no dia de Cristo que eu não corri em vão nem trabalhei em vão.

holding forth the word of life, that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I did not run in vain, nor labor in vain.

17 Sim, e se sou derramado sobre o sacrifício e serviço de sua fé, fico feliz e me regozijo com todos vocês.

But if I am poured out on the sacrifice and service of your faith, I rejoice, and rejoice with you all.

18 Da mesma forma, vocês também devem se alegrar e se regozijar comigo.

In like manner do you also rejoice, and rejoice with me.

19 Mas espero no Senhor Jesus enviar Timóteo a você em breve, que eu também possa ficar animado quando souber como você está indo.

But I trust in the Lord Jesus, to send Timothy shortly to you, that I also may be refreshed by knowing your condition;

20 Pois não tenho mais ninguém que se preocupe com você, que realmente se importará com você.

for I have no one of a kindred spirit who will sincerely care for your condition:

21 Pois todos eles buscam o que lhes é próprio, não as coisas de Jesus Cristo.

for all seek their own, not the things of Jesus Christ.

22 Mas vocês sabem que Ele provou a si mesmo. Como uma criança serve a um pai, assim ele serviu comigo na promoção da Boa Nova.

But you know his approved character, that as a son with a father he has served with me in the gospel.

23 Por isso, espero enviá-lo imediatamente, tão logo eu veja como será comigo.

Him, therefore, I hope to send immediately, as soon as I know how it may go with me.

24 Mas confio no Senhor que eu mesmo também irei em breve.

But I trust in the Lord that I myself also will come shortly.

25 Mas achei necessário enviar a vocês Epafrodito, meu irmão, companheiro de trabalho, companheiro de soldado, e seu apóstolo e servo de minha necessidade,

Yet I thought it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus my brother and companion in labor and fellow-soldier, but your apostle, who also ministered to my want,

26 já que ele ansiava por todos vocês, e estava muito perturbado porque vocês tinham ouvido dizer que ele estava doente.

because he longed after you all, and was much distressed, because you had heard that he was sick.

27 Pois de fato ele estava doente quase até a morte, mas Deus teve piedade dele, e não só dele, mas também de mim, para que eu não tivesse tristeza por tristeza.

And, indeed, he was sick near to death; but God had mercy on him, and not on him only, but on me also, that I might not have sorrow upon sorrow.

28 Eu o enviei, portanto, mais diligentemente, para que, quando o virem novamente, se alegrem, e para que eu seja o menos triste.

I sent him, therefore, the sooner, that, by seeing him again, you might rejoice, and that I might be the less sorrowful.

29 Recebei-o, portanto, no Senhor com toda a alegria, e honrei tais pessoas,

Receive him, therefore, in the Lord with all joy, and regard such as worthy of honor;

30 porque pela obra de Cristo ele se aproximou da morte, arriscando sua vida para suprir o que faltava em vosso serviço para comigo.

because for the work of the Christ he was near to death, not regarding his life, that he might supply that which was lacking in your service to me.
