Oséias 8
1 “Coloque a trombeta em seus lábios! Algo como uma águia está sobre a casa de Yahweh, porque eles quebraram meu convênio e se rebelou contra minha lei.
"Put the trumpet to your lips. Something like an eagle is over the LORD's house, because they have broken my covenant, and rebelled against my law.
2 Eles choram para mim, 'Meu Deus, nós, Israel, te reconhecemos'!
They cry to me, 'My God, we Israel acknowledge you.'
3 Israel abandonou o que é bom. O inimigo irá persegui-lo.
Israel has cast off that which is good. The enemy will pursue him.
4 Eles criaram reis, mas não por mim. Eles fizeram príncipes, e eu não aprovei. De sua prata e seu ouro, eles se fizeram ídolos, que podem ser cortados.
They have set up kings, but not by me. They have made princes, and I did not approve. Of their silver and their gold they have made themselves idols, that they may be cut off.
5 Que Samaria expulse seu ídolo bezerro! Minha raiva queima contra eles! Quanto tempo vai demorar até que eles sejam capazes de pureza?
Let Samaria throw out his calf idol. My anger burns against them. How long will it be until they are capable of purity?
6 Pois este é mesmo de Israel! O operário conseguiu, e não é um Deus; de fato, o bezerro de Samaria deve ser quebrado em pedaços.
For this is even from Israel. The workman made it, and it is no God; indeed, the calf of Samaria shall be broken in pieces.
7 Pois eles semeiam o vento, e eles irão colher o turbilhão. Ele não tem grãos em pé. O talo não cederá nenhuma cabeça. Se ele ceder, os estranhos o engolirão.
For they sow the wind, and they will reap the whirlwind. He has no standing grain. The stalk will yield no head. If it does yield, strangers will swallow it up.
8 Israel é engolido. Agora eles estão entre as nações como uma coisa sem valor.
Israel is swallowed up. Now they are among the nations like a worthless thing.
9 Pois eles subiram para a Assíria, como um burro selvagem que vagueia sozinho. Ephraim contratou amantes para si mesmo.
For they have gone up to Assyria, like a wild donkey wandering alone. Ephraim has hired lovers for himself.
10 Mas embora eles se tenham vendido entre as nações, Vou agora reuni-los; e começam a se desperdiçar por causa da opressão do rei dos poderosos.
But although they sold themselves among the nations, I will now gather them; and they begin to waste away because of the oppression of the king of mighty ones.
11 Porque Efraim multiplicou os altares para pecar, eles se tornaram para ele altares por pecar.
Because Ephraim has multiplied altars for sinning, they became for him altars for sinning.
12 I escreveu para ele as muitas coisas da minha lei, mas eles eram considerados como uma coisa estranha.
I wrote for him the many things of my law; but they were regarded as a strange thing.
13 Quanto aos sacrifícios de minhas ofertas, eles sacrificam a carne e a comem, mas Yahweh não os aceita. Agora ele vai se lembrar da iniqüidade deles, e punir seus pecados. Eles retornarão ao Egito.
As for the sacrifices of my offerings, they sacrifice flesh and eat it; But the LORD doesn't accept them. Now he will remember their iniquity, and punish their sins. They will return to Egypt, and will eat unclean things in Assyria.
14 Para Israel esqueceu seu Criador e construiu palácios; e Judah se multiplicou nas cidades fortificadas; mas vou mandar um incêndio em suas cidades, e devorará suas fortalezas”.
For Israel has forgotten his Maker and built palaces; and Judah has multiplied fortified cities; but I will send a fire on his cities, and it will devour its fortresses."
