Deuteronômio 3

1 Então nos viramos, e subimos o caminho para Bashan. Og o rei de Bashan saiu contra nós, ele e todo o seu povo, para lutar em Edrei.

Then we turned, and went vp by the way of Bashan: and Og King of Bashan came out against vs, he, and all his people to fight at Edrei.

2 Yahweh me disse: “Não o temam, pois eu o entreguei, com todo o seu povo e sua terra, em suas mãos”. Far-lhe-eis como fizestes a Sihon, rei dos amorreus, que viveu em Heshbon”.

And the Lord sayde vnto me, Feare him not, for I will deliuer him, and all his people, and his land into thine hand, and thou shalt doe vnto him as thou diddest vnto Sihon King of the Amorites, which dwelt at Heshbon.

3 Então Yahweh nosso Deus também entregou em nossas mãos Og, o rei de Basã, e todo o seu povo. Nós o golpeamos até que ninguém mais ficou para ele.

So the Lord our God deliuered also vnto our hand, Og the King of Bashan, and all his people: and we smote him, vntill none was left him aliue,

4 Levamos todas as suas cidades naquela época. Não havia uma cidade que não tivéssemos tomado deles: sessenta cidades, toda a região de Argob, o reino de Og em Bashan.

And we tooke all his cities the same time, neither was there a citie which we tooke not from them, euen three score cities, and all ye countrey of Argob, the kingdome of Og in Bashan.

5 Todas estas eram cidades fortificadas com muros altos, portões e bares, além de um grande número de vilarejos sem muros.

All these cities were fenced with hie walles, gates and barres, beside vnwalled townes a great many.

6 Nós as destruímos completamente, como fizemos com Sihon, rei de Heshbon, destruindo completamente todas as cidades habitadas, com as mulheres e os pequenos.

And we ouerthrewe them, as we did vnto Sihon King of Heshbon, destroying euery citie, with men, women, and children.

7 Mas todo o gado, e o saque das cidades, nós tomamos por saque para nós mesmos.

But all the cattell and the spoyle of the cities we tooke for our selues.

8 Tiramos a terra naquela época da mão dos dois reis dos Amoritas que estavam além do Jordão, desde o vale do Arnon até o Monte Hermon.

Thus we tooke at that time out of the hand of two Kings of the Amorites, the land that was on this side Iorden from the riuer of Arnon vnto mount Hermon:

9 (Os Sidônios chamam de Hermon Sirion, e os Amoritas de Senir.)

(Which Hermon the Sidonians call Shirion, but the Amorites call it Shenir)

10 Tomamos todas as cidades da planície, e toda Gilead, e todo Bashan, para Salecah e Edrei, cidades do reino de Og em Bashan.

All the cities of the plaine, and all Gilead, and all Bashan vnto Salchah, and Edrei, cities of the kingdome of Og in Bashan.

11 (Pois somente Og rei de Bashan permaneceu do remanescente do Rephaim. Eis que seu leito era um leito de ferro. Não é em Rabbah das crianças de Ammon? Nove côvados era seu comprimento, e quatro côvados sua largura, depois do côvado de um homem).

For onely Og King of Bashan remained of the remnant of the gyants, whose bed was a bed of yron: is it not at Rabbath among the children of Ammon? the length thereof is nine cubites, and foure cubites the breadth of it, after the cubite of a man.

12 Esta terra que tomamos em posse naquela época: de Aroer, que fica junto ao vale do Arnon, e metade da região montanhosa de Gilead com suas cidades, eu dei aos rubenitas e aos gaditas;

And this land which we possessed at that time, from Aroer, which is by the riuer of Arnon, and halfe mount Gilead, and the cities thereof, gaue I vnto the Reubenites and Gadites.

13 e o resto de Gilead, e todo Bashan, o reino de Og, eu dei à meia tribo de Manasse - toda a região de Argob, mesmo todo Bashan. (O mesmo é chamado de terra de Rephaim.

And the rest of Gilead, and all Bashan, the kingdome of Og, gaue I vnto the halfe tribe of Manasseh: euen all the countrey of Argob with all Bashan, which is called, The land of gyants.

14 Jair, filho de Manassés, levou toda a região de Argob, até a fronteira dos geshuritas e dos maacathitas, e os chamou, até hoje, até mesmo Bashan, segundo seu próprio nome, Havvoth Jair).

Iair the sonne of Manasseh tooke all the countrey of Argob, vnto the coastes of Geshuri, and of Maachathi: and called them after his owne name, Bashan, Hauoth Iair vnto this day.

15 Eu dei Gilead a Machir.

And I gaue part of Gilead vnto Machir.

16 Aos Reubenitas e aos Gaditas dei desde Gilead até o vale do Arnon, o meio do vale, e sua fronteira, até o rio Jabbok, que é a fronteira das crianças de Ammon;

And vnto the Reubenites and Gadites I gaue the rest of Gilead, and vnto the riuer of Arnon, halfe the riuer and the borders, euen vnto the riuer Iabbok, which is the border of the children of Ammon:

17 o Arabah também, e o Jordão e sua fronteira, desde Chinnereth até o mar do Arabah, o Mar Salgado, sob as encostas de Pisgah a leste.

The plaine also and Iorden, and the borders from Chinneereth euen vnto the Sea of the plaine, to wit, the salt Sea vnder the springs of Pisgah Eastwarde.

18 Eu lhe ordenei naquela época, dizendo: “Yahweh seu Deus lhe deu esta terra para possuí-la”. Todos vocês, homens de valor, passarão armados diante de seus irmãos, os filhos de Israel”.

And I commanded you the same time, saying, The Lord your God hath giuen you this lande to possesse it: ye shall goe ouer armed before your brethren the children of Israel, all men of warre.

19 Mas suas esposas, e seus pequenos, e seu gado (eu sei que vocês têm muito gado), viverão em suas cidades que eu lhes dei,

Your wiues onely, and your children, and your cattel (for I know that ye haue much cattel) shall abide in your cities, which I haue giuen you,

20 até que Javé dê descanso a seus irmãos, como a vocês, e eles também possuam a terra que Javé seu Deus lhes dá além do Jordão. Então cada um de vós voltará à sua própria posse, que eu vos dei”.

Vntill the Lord haue giuen rest vnto your brethren as vnto you, and that they also possesse the lande, which the Lord your God hath giuen them beyond Iorden: then shall ye returne euery man vnto his possession, which I haue giuen you.

21 Comandei Josué naquela época, dizendo: “Seus olhos viram tudo o que Yahweh seu Deus fez a estes dois reis. Assim fará Javé com todos os reinos por onde passas.

And I charged Ioshua the same time, saying, Thine eyes haue seene all that the Lord your God hath done vnto these two Kings: so shall the Lord doe vnto all the kingdomes whither thou goest.

22 Não os temerás; pois Yavé, teu próprio Deus, luta por ti”.

Ye shall not feare them: for the Lord your God, he shall fight for you.

23 Eu implorei a Javé naquela época, dizendo:

And I besought the Lord the same time, saying,

24 “Senhor Javé, começou a mostrar a seu servo sua grandeza, e sua mão forte. Pois que deus existe no céu ou na terra que pode fazer obras como a sua, e que age poderosamente como a sua?

O Lord God, thou hast begunne to shewe thy seruant thy greatnesse and thy mightie hande: for where is there a God in heauen or in earth, that can do like thy workes, and like thy power?

25 Por favor, deixe-me ir e ver a boa terra que está além do Jordão, aquela bela montanha e o Líbano”.

I pray thee let me go ouer and see the good land that is beyond Iorden, that goodly mountaine, and Lebanon.

26 Mas Javé ficou bravo comigo por causa de você, e não me ouviu. Yahweh me disse: “Já chega! Não fale mais comigo sobre este assunto.

But the Lord was angrie with me for your sakes, and would not heare me: and the Lord said vnto me, Let it suffice thee, speake no more vnto me of this matter.

27 Suba até o topo de Pisgah, e levante seus olhos para o oeste, e para o norte, e para o sul, e para o leste, e veja com seus olhos; pois você não deve passar por este Jordão.

Get thee vp into the top of Pisgah, and lift vp thine eyes Westward, and Northwarde, and Southward, and Eastward, and behold it with thine eyes, for thou shalt not goe ouer this Iorden:

28 Mas encomenda Josué, e anima-o, e fortalece-o; porque ele passará diante deste povo, e ele o fará herdar a terra que vereis”.

But charge Ioshua, and incourage him, and bolden him: for hee shall goe before this people, and he shall deuide for inheritance vnto them, the land which thou shalt see.

29 Assim ficamos no vale perto de Beth Peor.

So wee abode in the valley ouer against Beth-Peor.
