1 No vigésimo sétimo ano de Jeroboão, rei de Israel, começou a reinar Azarias, filho de Amazonas, rei de Judá.
In the twenty-seventh year of Jeroboam king of Israel, Azariah son of Amaziah king of Judah began to reign.
2 Ele tinha dezesseis anos quando começou a reinar, e reinou cinqüenta e dois anos em Jerusalém. O nome de sua mãe era Jecoliah de Jerusalém.
He was sixteen years old when he began to reign, and he reigned fifty-two years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Jecoliah of Jerusalem.
3 Ele fez o que era certo aos olhos de Javé, de acordo com tudo o que seu pai, Amazias, havia feito.
He did that which was right in Yahweh’s eyes, according to all that his father Amaziah had done.
4 No entanto, os lugares altos não foram tirados. O povo ainda sacrificava e queimava incenso nos lugares altos.
However, the high places were not taken away. The people still sacrificed and burned incense in the high places.
5 Yahweh atingiu o rei, de modo que ele foi um leproso até o dia de sua morte, e viveu em uma casa separada. Jotham, o filho do rei, estava sobre a casa, julgando o povo da terra.
Yahweh struck the king, so that he was a leper to the day of his death, and lived in a separate house. Jotham, the king’s son, was over the household, judging the people of the land.

Now the rest of the acts of Azariah, and all that he did, aren’t they written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?
7 Azarias dormiu com seus pais; e eles o enterraram com seus pais na cidade de David; e Jotham seu filho reinou em seu lugar.
Azariah slept with his fathers; and they buried him with his fathers in David’s city; and Jotham his son reigned in his place.
8 No trigésimo oitavo ano de Azarias, rei de Judá, Zacarias, filho de Jeroboão, reinou sobre Israel em Samaria durante seis meses.
In the thirty-eighth year of Azariah king of Judah, Zechariah the son of Jeroboam reigned over Israel in Samaria six months.
9 Ele fez o que era mau aos olhos de Iavé, como seus pais haviam feito. Ele não se afastou dos pecados de Jeroboão, o filho de Nebat, com os quais fez Israel pecar.
He did that which was evil in Yahweh’s sight, as his fathers had done. He didn’t depart from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, with which he made Israel to sin.
10 Shallum, o filho de Jabesh, conspirou contra ele, golpeou-o diante do povo e o matou, e reinou em seu lugar.
Shallum the son of Jabesh conspired against him, and struck him before the people and killed him, and reigned in his place.
11 Agora o resto dos atos de Zacarias, eis que estão escritos no livro das crônicas dos reis de Israel.
Now the rest of the acts of Zechariah, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel.
12 Esta foi a palavra de Javé que ele falou a Jeú, dizendo: “Seus filhos à quarta geração sentar-se-ão no trono de Israel”. E assim aconteceu.
This was Yahweh’s word which he spoke to Jehu, saying, “Your sons to the fourth generation shall sit on the throne of Israel.” So it came to pass.
13 Shallum, filho de Jabesh, começou a reinar no trigésimo nono ano de Uzziah, rei de Judá, e reinou por um mês em Samaria.
Shallum the son of Jabesh began to reign in the thirty-ninth year of Uzziah king of Judah, and he reigned for a month in Samaria.
14 Menahem o filho de Gadi subiu de Tirzah, veio para Samaria, atingiu Shallum o filho de Jabesh em Samaria, matou-o, e reinou em seu lugar.
Menahem the son of Gadi went up from Tirzah, came to Samaria, struck Shallum the son of Jabesh in Samaria, killed him, and reigned in his place.
15 Agora o resto dos atos de Shallum, e sua conspiração que ele fez, eis que estão escritos no livro das crônicas dos reis de Israel.
Now the rest of the acts of Shallum, and his conspiracy which he made, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel.
16 Então Menahem atacou Tiphsah e todos os que estavam nele e em suas áreas de fronteira, de Tirzah. Ele o atacou porque eles não lhe abriram as portas, e ele arrancou todas as mulheres que estavam com crianças.
Then Menahem attacked Tiphsah and all who were in it and its border areas, from Tirzah. He attacked it because they didn’t open their gates to him, and he ripped up all their women who were with child.
17 No ano trinta e nove de Azaria, rei de Judá, Menahem, filho de Gadi, começou a reinar sobre Israel por dez anos em Samaria.
In the thirty ninth year of Azariah king of Judah, Menahem the son of Gadi began to reign over Israel for ten years in Samaria.
18 Ele fez o que era mau aos olhos de Iavé. Ele não se afastou todos os seus dias dos pecados de Jeroboão, filho de Nebat, com os quais fez Israel pecar.
He did that which was evil in Yahweh’s sight. He didn’t depart all his days from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, with which he made Israel to sin.
19 Pul, o rei da Assíria, veio contra a terra, e Menahem deu a Pul mil talentos de prata, para que sua mão pudesse estar com ele para confirmar o reino em sua mão.
Pul the king of Assyria came against the land, and Menahem gave Pul one thousand talents of silver, that his hand might be with him to confirm the kingdom in his hand.
20 Menahem exigiu o dinheiro de Israel, mesmo de todos os homens poderosos e ricos, de cada homem cinqüenta siclos de prata, para dar ao rei da Assíria. Assim, o rei da Assíria voltou atrás, e não ficou lá na terra.
Menahem exacted the money from Israel, even from all the mighty men of wealth, from each man fifty shekels of silver, to give to the king of Assyria. So the king of Assyria turned back, and didn’t stay there in the land.

22 Menahem dormiu com seus pais, e Pekahiah, seu filho, reinou em seu lugar.
Menahem slept with his fathers, and Pekahiah his son reigned in his place.
23 No quinquagésimo ano de Azarias, rei de Judá, Pekahiah, filho de Menahem, começou a reinar sobre Israel em Samaria por dois anos.
In the fiftieth year of Azariah king of Judah, Pekahiah the son of Menahem began to reign over Israel in Samaria for two years.
24 Ele fez o que era mau aos olhos de Iavé. Ele não se afastou dos pecados de Jeroboão, filho de Nebate, com os quais ele fez Israel pecar.
He did that which was evil in Yahweh’s sight. He didn’t depart from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, with which he made Israel to sin.
25 Pekah, o filho de Remalias, seu capitão, conspirou contra ele e o atacou em Samaria, na fortaleza da casa do rei, com Argob e Arieh; e com ele estavam cinqüenta homens dos gileaditas. Ele o matou, e reinou em seu lugar.
Pekah the son of Remaliah, his captain, conspired against him and attacked him in Samaria, in the fortress of the king’s house, with Argob and Arieh; and with him were fifty men of the Gileadites. He killed him, and reigned in his place.
26 Agora o resto dos atos de Pekahiah, e tudo o que ele fez, eis que estão escritos no livro das crônicas dos reis de Israel.
Now the rest of the acts of Pekahiah, and all that he did, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel.
27 No quinquagésimo segundo ano de Azarias, rei de Judá, Pekah, filho de Remalias, começou a reinar sobre Israel em Samaria por vinte anos.
In the fifty-second year of Azariah king of Judah, Pekah the son of Remaliah began to reign over Israel in Samaria for twenty years.
28 Ele fez o que era mau aos olhos de Iavé. Ele não se afastou dos pecados de Jeroboão, filho de Nebate, com os quais ele fez Israel pecar.
He did that which was evil in Yahweh’s sight. He didn’t depart from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, with which he made Israel to sin.
29 Nos dias de Pekah, rei de Israel, Tiglate Pileser, rei da Assíria, veio e levou Ijon, Abel Beth Maacah, Janoah, Kedesh, Hazor, Gilead e Galileia, todas as terras de Naftali; e levou-as cativas para a Assíria.
In the days of Pekah king of Israel, Tiglath Pileser king of Assyria came and took Ijon, Abel Beth Maacah, Janoah, Kedesh, Hazor, Gilead, and Galilee, all the land of Naphtali; and he carried them captive to Assyria.
30 Hoshea, filho de Elá, fez uma conspiração contra Pekah, filho de Remalias, atacou-o, matou-o e reinou em seu lugar, no vigésimo ano de Jotão, filho de Uzias.
Hoshea the son of Elah made a conspiracy against Pekah the son of Remaliah, attacked him, killed him, and reigned in his place, in the twentieth year of Jotham the son of Uzziah.

Now the rest of the acts of Pekah, and all that he did, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel.
32 No segundo ano de Pekah, filho de Remalias, rei de Israel, Jotham, filho de Uzziah, rei de Judá, começou a reinar.
In the second year of Pekah the son of Remaliah king of Israel, Jotham the son of Uzziah king of Judah began to reign.
33 Ele tinha vinte e cinco anos quando começou a reinar, e reinou dezesseis anos em Jerusalém. O nome de sua mãe era Jerusha, filha de Zadoque.
He was twenty-five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Jerusha the daughter of Zadok.
34 Ele fez o que era certo aos olhos de Iavé. Ele fez de acordo com tudo o que seu pai Uzziah havia feito.
He did that which was right in Yahweh’s eyes. He did according to all that his father Uzziah had done.
35 No entanto, os lugares altos não foram tirados. O povo ainda sacrificou e queimou incenso nos lugares altos. Ele construiu o portão superior da casa de Yahweh.
However the high places were not taken away. The people still sacrificed and burned incense in the high places. He built the upper gate of Yahweh’s house.

Now the rest of the acts of Jotham, and all that he did, aren’t they written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?
37 Naqueles dias, Javé começou a enviar Rezin, o rei da Síria, e Pekah, o filho de Remalias, contra Judá.
In those days, Yahweh began to send Rezin the king of Syria and Pekah the son of Remaliah against Judah.
38 Jotham dormiu com seus pais, e foi enterrado com seus pais na cidade de seu pai David; e Ahaz, seu filho, reinou em seu lugar.
Jotham slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in his father David’s city; and Ahaz his son reigned in his place.
