2 Crônicas 5

1 Thus todo o trabalho que Salomão fez para a casa de Yahweh foi concluído. Salomão trouxe as coisas que David seu pai havia dedicado, até mesmo a prata, o ouro e todos os vasos, e os colocou nos tesouros da casa de Deus.

Thus all the work that Solomon made for the house of the LORD was finished: and Solomon brought in [all] the things that David his father had dedicated; and the silver, and the gold, and all the instruments, put he among the treasures of the house of God.

2 Então Salomão reuniu os anciãos de Israel e todos os chefes das tribos, os príncipes das famílias dos pais dos filhos de Israel, em Jerusalém, para trazer a arca da aliança de Iavé para fora da cidade de Davi, que é Sião.

Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel, and all the heads of the tribes, the chief of the fathers of the children of Israel, unto Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the covenant of the LORD out of the city of David, which [is] Zion.

3 Assim, todos os homens de Israel se reuniram ao rei na festa, que foi no sétimo mês.

Wherefore all the men of Israel assembled themselves unto the king in the feast which [was] in the seventh month.

4 Todos os anciãos de Israel vieram. Os levitas ocuparam a arca.

And all the elders of Israel came; and the Levites took up the ark.

5 Eles levantaram a arca, a Tenda da Reunião e todos os vasos sagrados que estavam na Tenda. Os sacerdotes levíticos os trouxeram à tenda.

And they brought up the ark, and the tabernacle of the congregation, and all the holy vessels that [were] in the tabernacle, these did the priests [and] the Levites bring up.

6 O rei Salomão e toda a congregação de Israel que estava reunida a ele estavam diante da arca, sacrificando ovelhas e gado que não podiam ser contadas ou numeradas para a multidão.

Also king Solomon, and all the congregation of Israel that were assembled unto him before the ark, sacrificed sheep and oxen, which could not be told nor numbered for multitude.

7 Os sacerdotes trouxeram a arca da aliança de Iavé para seu lugar, para o santuário interior da casa, para o lugar santíssimo, mesmo sob as asas dos querubins.

And the priests brought in the ark of the covenant of the LORD unto his place, to the oracle of the house, into the most holy [place, even] under the wings of the cherubims:

8 Pois os querubins estenderam suas asas sobre o lugar da arca, e os querubins cobriram a arca e seus postes acima.

For the cherubims spread forth [their] wings over the place of the ark, and the cherubims covered the ark and the staves thereof above.

9 Os postes eram tão longos que as extremidades dos postes eram vistas da arca em frente ao santuário interior, mas não eram vistas do lado de fora; e está lá até hoje.

And they drew out the staves [of the ark], that the ends of the staves were seen from the ark before the oracle; but they were not seen without. And there it is unto this day.

10 Não havia nada na arca, exceto as duas tábuas que Moisés colocou lá em Horeb, quando Javé fez um pacto com os filhos de Israel, quando eles saíram do Egito.

[There was] nothing in the ark save the two tables which Moses put [therein] at Horeb, when the LORD made [a covenant] with the children of Israel, when they came out of Egypt.

11 Quando os sacerdotes tinham saído do lugar santo (pois todos os sacerdotes que estavam presentes tinham se santificado e não mantinham suas divisões;

And it came to pass, when the priests were come out of the holy [place: ] (for all the priests [that were] present were sanctified, [and] did not [then] wait by course:

12 also os levitas que eram os cantores, todos eles, até Asafe, Heman, Jeduthun, seus filhos e seus irmãos, vestidos de linho fino, com címbalos e instrumentos de cordas e harpas, estavam na extremidade leste do altar, e com eles cento e vinte sacerdotes tocando trombetas);

Also the Levites [which were] the singers, all of them of Asaph, of Heman, of Jeduthun, with their sons and their brethren, [being] arrayed in white linen, having cymbals and psalteries and harps, stood at the east end of the altar, and with them an hundred and twenty priests sounding with trumpets: )

13 quando os trombeteiros e cantores eram como um só, para fazer um som a ser ouvido em louvor e agradecimento a Javé; e quando levantaram sua voz com as trombetas e címbalos e instrumentos de música, e elogiaram Javé, dizendo, “Pois ele é bom, pois sua bondade amorosa perdura para sempre”! então a casa foi preenchida com uma nuvem, até mesmo a casa de Javé,

It came even to pass, as the trumpeters and singers [were] as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the LORD; and when they lifted up [their] voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of musick, and praised the LORD, [saying], For [he is] good; for his mercy [endureth] for ever: that [then] the house was filled with a cloud, [even] the house of the LORD;

14 para que os sacerdotes não suportassem ministrar por causa da nuvem; pois a glória de Javé encheu a casa de Deus.

So that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of the LORD had filled the house of God.
