1 Além disso, David e os capitães do exército destacaram para o serviço alguns dos filhos de Asaph, de Heman e de Jeduthun, que deveriam profetizar com harpas, com instrumentos de cordas e com címbalos. O número daqueles que fizeram o trabalho de acordo com seu serviço foi:

Moreover David and the chief. officers of the army separated for the ministry the sons of Asaph, and of Heman, and of Idithun: to prophesy with harps, and with psalteries, and with cymbals according to their number serving in their appointed office.

2 dos filhos de Asaph: Zaccur, Joseph, Nethaniah, e Asharelah. Os filhos de Asafe estavam sob a mão de Asafe, que profetizou sob a ordem do rei.

Of the sons of Asaph: Zacchur, and Joseph, and Nathania, and Asarela, sons of Asaph: under the hand of Asaph prophesying near the king.

3 de Jeduthun, os filhos de Jeduthun: Gedalias, Zeri, Jesaías, Shimei, Hasabias e Mattitias, seis, sob as mãos de seu pai Jedutum, que profetizou dando graças e louvando a Javé com a harpa.

And of Idithun: the sons of Idithun, Godolias, Serf, Jeseias, and Hasabias, and Mathathias, six, under the hand of their father Idithun, who prophesied with a harp to give thanks and to praise the Lord.

4 De Heman, os filhos de Heman: Bukkiah, Mattaniah, Uzziel, Shebuel, Jerimoth, Hananiah, Hanani, Eliathah, Giddalti, Romamti-Ezer, Joshbekashah, Mallothi, Hothir, e Mahazioth.

Of Heman also: the sons of Heman, Bocciau, Mathaniau, Oziel, Subuel, and Jerimoth, Hananias, Hanani, Eliatha, Geddelthi, and Romemthiezer, and Jesbacassa, Mellothi, Othir, Mahazioth:

5 Todos estes foram os filhos de Heman, o vidente do rei, nas palavras de Deus, para erguer a buzina. Deus deu a Heman quatorze filhos e três filhas.

All these were the sons of Heman the seer of the king in the words of God, to lift up the horn: and God gave to Heman fourteen sons and three daughters.

6 Todos eles estavam sob as mãos de seu pai para cantar na casa de Iavé, com címbalos, instrumentos de corda e harpas, para o serviço da casa de Deus: Asaph, Jeduthun e Heman estando sob a ordem do rei.

All these under their father’s hand were distributed to sing in the temple of the Lord, with cymbals, and psalteries and harps, for the service of the house of the Lord near the king: to wit, Asaph, and Idithun, and Heman.

7 O número deles, com seus irmãos que foram instruídos a cantar para Javé, mesmo todos os que eram habilidosos, era de duzentos e oitenta e oito.

And the number of them with their brethren, that taught the song of the Lord, all the teachers, were two hundred and eighty-eight,

8 They lançaram sorteio para seus escritórios, todos iguais, tanto os pequenos quanto os grandes, tanto o professor quanto o aluno.

And they cast lots by their courses, the elder equally with the younger, the learned and the unlearned together.

9 Now o primeiro lote saiu para Asafe para José; o segundo para Gedalias, ele e seus irmãos e filhos, doze;

And the first lot came forth to Joseph, who was of Asaph. The second to Godolias, to him and his sons, and his brethren twelve.

10 o terceiro para Zacur, seus filhos e seus irmãos, doze;

The third to Zachur, to his sons and his brethren twelve.

11 o quarto para Izri, seus filhos e seus irmãos, doze;

The fourth to Isari, to his sons and his brethren twelve.

12 o quinto para Netanias, seus filhos e seus irmãos, doze;

The fifth to Nathania, to his sons and his brethren twelve.

13 o sexto para Buquias, seus filhos e seus irmãos, doze;

The sixth to Bocciau, to his sons and his brethren twelve.

14 o sétimo para Jesharelah, seus filhos e seus irmãos, doze;

The seventh to Isreela, to his sons and his brethren twelve.

15 a oitava a Jesaías, seus filhos e seus irmãos, doze;

The eighth to Jesaia, to his sons and his brethren twelve.

16 a nona a Matanias, seus filhos e seus irmãos, doze;

The ninth to Mathanaias, to his sons and his brethren twelve.

17 a décima a Simei, seus filhos e seus irmãos, doze;

The tenth to Semeias, to his sons and his brethren twelve.

18 a décima primeira a Azarel, seus filhos e seus irmãos, doze;

The eleventh to Azareel, to his sons and his brethren twelve.

19 a décima segunda a Hasabias, seus filhos e seus irmãos, doze;

The twelfth to Hasabia, to his sons and his brethren twelve.

20 a décima terceira a Shubael, seus filhos e seus irmãos, doze;

The thirteenth to Subael, to his sons and his brethren twelve.

21 para o décimo-quarto, Mattitias, seus filhos e seus irmãos, doze;

The fourteenth to Mathathias, to his sons and his brethren twelve.

22 para o décimo-quinto a Jeremote, seus filhos e seus irmãos, doze;

The fifteenth to Jerimoth, to his sons and his brethren twelve.

23 para o décimo sexto a Hananias, seus filhos e seus irmãos, doze;

The sixteenth to Hananias, to his sons and his brethren twelve.

24 para o décimo sétimo a Joshbekashah, seus filhos e seus irmãos, doze;

The seventeenth to Jesbacassa, to his sons and his brethren twelve.

25 para o décimo oitavo a Hanani, seus filhos e seus irmãos, doze;

The eighteenth to Hanani, to his sons and his brethren twelve.

26 para o décimo nono a Mallothi, seus filhos e seus irmãos, doze;

The nineteenth to Mellothi, to his sons and his brethren twelve.

27 para o vigésimo a Eliathah, seus filhos e irmãos, doze;

The twentieth to Eliatha, to his sons and his brethren twelve.

28 para o vigésimo primeiro a Hothir, seus filhos e irmãos, doze;

The one and twentieth to Othir, to his sons and his brethren twelve.

29 para o vigésimo segundo a Giddalti, seus filhos e irmãos, doze;

The two and twentieth to Geddelthi, to his sons and his brethren twelve.

30 para o vigésimo terceiro a Mahazioth, seus filhos e irmãos, doze;

The three and twentieth to Mahazioth, to his sons and his brethren twelve.

31 para o vigésimo quarto a Romamti-Ezer, seus filhos e irmãos, doze.
