Salmos 84
1 Para o regente, com “Gitite”. Salmo dos filhos de Coré: Quão agradáveis são tuas moradas, SENHOR dos exércitos!
For the leader. On the gittith. Of the Korahites, a psalm. How dearly loved is the place where you live, Lord of hosts!
2 Minha alma está desejosa, ao ponto de desmaiar, pelos pátios do SENHOR; meu coração e minha carne clamam ao Deus vivente.
How I long and yearn for the courts of the Lord. Now heart and flesh cry for joy to the living God.
3 Até o pardal acha casa, e a andorinha ninho para si, onde ponha filhotes perto de teus altares, ó SENHOR dos exércitos, Rei meu e Deus meu.
Even the sparrow has found her a home and the swallow a nest, to lay her young, near your altar, Lord of hosts, my king and my God.
4 Bem-aventurados os que habitam em tua casa; eles louvam a ti continuamente. (Selá)
Happy those who live in your house, praising you evermore. (Selah)
5 Bem-aventurados aqueles cuja força está em ti, em cujos corações estão os caminhos [corretos].
Happy those whose strength is in you, people with pilgrim hearts.
6 Eles, ao passarem pelo Vale de Baca, fazem dele uma fonte; e a chuva o cobre de bênçãos.
As they pass through the valley of tears, they make it a place of fountains, clothed with the blessings of early rain.
7 Eles vão de força em força; [cada um deles] comparece diante de Deus em Sião.
From rampart to rampart on they march, till at last God reveals himself in Zion.
8 SENHOR Deus dos exércitos, escuta minha oração; inclina os teus ouvidos, ó Deus de Jacó. (Selá)
Lord, God of hosts, hear my prayer, attend, O God of Jacob. (Selah)
9 Olha o nosso escudo, ó Deus; e observa o rosto do teu ungido.
Behold, O God, our defender, and look upon your anointed,
10 Porque melhor é um dia nos teus pátios, do que mil [fora]. Prefiro estar à porta da casa do meu Deus, a morar nas tendas dos perversos.
for better a single day in your courts than a thousand in my own chambers: better stand at the door of the house of my God than live in the tents of ungodliness,
11 Porque o SENHOR Deus é sol e escudo; o SENHOR concederá graça e honra; ele não negará o bem aos que andam em integridade.
for the Lord is sun and shield, the Lord gives grace and glory. He withholds no good thing from the life that is blameless.
12 Ó SENHOR dos exércitos, bem-aventurado é o homem que confia em ti!
Lord of hosts, happy those whose trust is in you.
