Salmos 17
1 Oração de Davi: Ouve, SENHOR, a [minha] justiça; presta atenção ao meu choro, dá ouvidos à minha oração de lábios que não enganam.
A prayer of David. Listen, O Lord of my righteousness, attend to my petition; give ear to my prayer not [uttered] with deceitful lips.
2 De diante de teu rosto saia o meu julgamento; teus olhos observarão o que é justo.
Let my judgment come forth from your presence; let mine eyes behold righteousness.
3 Tu [já] provaste o meu coração, tu [me] visitaste de noite; tu me investigaste, [e] nada achaste; decidi [que] minha boca não transgredirá.
You has proved mine heart; you have visited [me] by night; you have tried me as with fire, and unrighteousness has not been found in me: [I am purposed] that my mouth shall not speak [amiss].
4 Quanto às obras dos homens, conforme a palavra de teus lábios eu me guardei dos caminhos do violento;
As for the works of men, by the words of your lips I have guarded [myself from] hard ways.
5 Guiando meu andar em teus caminhos, para que meus passos não tropecem.
Direct my steps in your paths, that my steps slip not.
6 Eu clamo a ti, ó Deus, porque tu me respondes; inclina teus ouvidos a mim, escuta a minha palavra.
I have cried, for you heard me, O God: incline your ear to me, and listen to my words.
7 Revela maravilhosamente tuas misericórdias, tu salvas aos que confiam [em ti] com tua mão direita daqueles se se levantam contra [ti].
Show the marvels of your mercies, you that save them that hope in you.
8 Guarda-me como a pupila do olho; esconde-me debaixo da sombra de tuas asas,
Keep me as the apple of the eye from those that resist your right hand: you shall screen me by the covering of your wings,
9 De diante dos perversos que me oprimem; dos meus mortais inimigos que me cercam.
from the face of the ungodly that have afflicted me: mine enemies have compassed about my soul.
10 Eles se enchem de gordura; com sua boca falam arrogantemente.
They have enclosed [themselves with] their own fat: their mouth has spoken pride.
11 Agora eles têm nos cercado em nossos passos; eles fixam seus olhos para [nos] derrubar ao chão.
They have now cast me out and compassed me round about: they have set their eyes [so as] to bow them down to the ground.
12 Semelhantes ao leão, que deseja nos despedaçar, e ao leãozinho, que fica em esconderijos.
They laid wait for me as a lion ready for prey, and like a lion's whelp dwelling in secret [places].
13 Levanta-te, SENHOR, confronta-o, derruba-o; livra minha alma d [as mãos] do perverso com tua espada.
Arise, O Lord, prevent them, and cast them down: deliver my soul from the ungodly: [draw] your sword,
14 Dos homens com tua mão, SENHOR, dos homens que são do mundo, cuja parte está n [esta] vida, cujo ventre enches de teu secreto [tesouro]; os filhos se fartam, e deixam sua sobra para suas crianças.
because of the enemies of your hand: O Lord, destroy them from the earth; scatter them in their life, though their belly has been filled with your hidden [treasures]: they have been satisfied with uncleanness, and have left the remnant [of their possessions] to their babes.
15 [Mas] eu olharei para teu rosto em justiça; serei satisfeito de tua semelhança, quando eu despertar.
But I shall appear in righteousness before your face: I shall be satisfied when your glory appears.
