Jeremias 46
1 Palavra do SENHOR que veio ao profeta Jeremias, contra as nações.
The word of the Lord, that was maad to Jeremye, the profete, ayens hethene men;
2 Quanto ao Egito: contra o exército de Faraó Neco, rei do Egito, que estava junto ao rio Eufrates em Carquemis, ao qual Nabucodonosor rei da Babilônia feriu no quarto ano de Jeoaquim filho de Josias, rei de Judá.
to Egipt, ayens the oost of Farao Nechao, kyng of Egipt, that was bisidis the flood Eufrates, in Charchamys, whom Nabugodonosor, kyng of Babiloyne, smoot, in the fourthe yeer of Joachym, sone of Josie, kyng of Juda.
3 Preparai os escudos maior e o menor, e vinde à guerra.
Make ye redi scheeld and targat, and go ye forth to batel.
4 Selai os cavalos, e subi, vós os cavaleiros, e apresentai-vos com capacetes; limpai as lanças, vesti-vos de couraças.
Ioyne ye horsis, and stie, ye knyytis; stonde ye in helmes, polische ye speris, clothe ye you in haburiowns.
5 Por que razão vejo os medrosos tornando atrás? E seus guerreiros são abatidos, e vão fugindo, sem olharem para trás; o terror está por todos os lados, diz o SENHOR.
What therfor? Y siy hem dredeful, and turnynge the backis, the stronge men of hem slayn; and thei fledden swiftli, and bihelden not; drede was on ech side, seith the Lord.
6 Não fuja o ligeiro, nem escape o guerreiro; para o norte, junto à margem do rio do Eufrates, tropeçaram e caíram.
A swift man schal not fle, and a strong man gesse not hym silf to be saued; at the north, bisidis the flood Eufrates, thei weren ouer comun, and fellen doun.
7 Quem é este que sobe como o Nilo, cujas águas se movem como rios?
Who is this, that stieth as a flood, and hise swelewis wexen greet as of floodis?
8 O Egito vem subindo como o Nilo, e [suas] águas se agitam como rios, e disse: Subirei, [e] cobrirei a terra; destruirei a cidade, e os que nela habitam.
Egipte stiede at the licnesse of a flood, and hise wawis schulen be mouyd as floodis; and it schal seie, Y schal stie, and hile the erthe; Y schal leese the citee, and dwelleris therof.
9 Subi, cavalos, e rangei, carruagens; e saiam os guerreiros; os de Cuxe e os de Pute que tomam escudo, e os de Lude que tomam e encurvam o arco.
Stie ye on horsis, and make ye ful out ioie in charis; and stronge men, come forth, Ethiopie and Libie, holdynge scheeld, and Lidii, takynge and schetynge arowis.
10 Porém esse dia pertence ao Senhor DEUS dos exércitos, o dia de vingança, para ele se vingar de seus adversários; e a espada devorará, se fartará, e se embriagará do sangue deles; pois o Senhor DEUS dos exércitos tem [para si] um sacrifício na terra do norte, junto ao rio Eufrates.
Forsothe that dai of the Lord God of oostis is a dai of veniaunce, that he take veniaunce of hise enemyes; the swerd schal deuoure, and schal be fillid, and schal greetli be fillid with the blood of hem; for whi the slayn sacrifice of the Lord of oostis is in the lond of the north, bisidis the flood Eufrates.
11 Sobe a Gileade, e toma bálsamo, ó virgem filha do Egito; em vão multiplicas os remédios, [pois] não há cura para ti.
Thou virgyn, the douyter of Egipt, stie in to Galaad, and take medicyn. In veyn thou schalt multiplie medecyns; helthe schal not be to thee.
12 As nações ouviram da tua vergonha, e teu clamor encheu a terra: pois um guerreiro tropeçou contra [outro] guerreiro, e ambos juntamente caíram.
Hethene men herden thi schenschipe, and thi yellyng fillide the erthe; for a strong man hurtlide ayens a strong man, and bothe fellen doun togidere.
13 Palavra que o SENHOR falou ao profeta Jeremias quanto à vinda de Nabucodonosor, rei da Babilônia, para ferir a terra do Egito:
The word which the Lord spak to Jeremye, the profete, on that that Nabugodonosor, kyng of Babiloyne, was to comynge, and to smytynge the lond of Egipt.
14 Anunciai no Egito, e declarai em Migdol; declarai também em Nofe e em Tafnes; dizei: Firma uma posição, e prepara-te; pois a espada está para devorar o que há ao redor de ti.
Telle ye to Egipt, and make ye herd in Magdalo, and sowne it in Memphis, and seie ye in Taphnys, Stonde thou, and make thee redi, for a swerd schal deuoure tho thingis that ben bi thi cumpas.
15 Por que teus guerreiros foram derrubados? Não puderam ficar de pé, pois o SENHOR os empurrou.
Whi hath thi strong man wexe rotun? He stood not, for the Lord vndurturnede hym.
16 Ele multiplicou os que tropeçaram; caíram cada um sobre o outro, e disseram: Levanta-te e voltemo-nos a nosso povo, e à terra de nosso nascimento, por causa da espada opressora.
He multipliede falleris, and a man felle doun to his neiybore; and thei schulen seie, Rise ye, and turne we ayen to oure puple, and to the lond of oure birthe, fro the face of swerd of the culuer.
17 Ali gritarão: O Faraó rei do Egito, é [apenas] um barulho; ele deixou passar o tempo determinado.
Clepe ye the name of Farao, kyng of Egipt; the tyme hath brouyt noise.
18 Vivo eu, diz o Rei, cujo nome é EU-SOU dos exércitos, que como o Tabor entre os montes, e como o Carmelo no mar, assim ele virá.
Y lyue, seith the kyng, the Lord of oostis is his name; for it schal come as Thabor in hillis, and as Carmele in the see.
19 Faz para ti a bagagem para a ida ao cativeiro, ó moradora, filha do Egito; porque Nofe se tornará em desolação, e será devastada até não haver ali morador.
Thou dwelleresse, the douyter of Egipt, make to thee vessels of passyng ouer; for whi Memfis schal be in to wildirnesse, and schal be forsakun vnhabitable.
20 O Egito é uma bezerra formosa; mas a mosca carniceira vem do norte.
Egipt is a schapli cow calf, and fair; a prickere fro the north schal come to it.
21 Até seus soldados mercenários em meio dela são como bezerros cevados; porém também eles se virarão para trás, e juntamente fugirão; eles não permanecerão em postos, porque o dia de sua ruína, o tempo de sua punição, veio sobre eles.
Also the hirid men therof, that liueden as caluys maad fatte in the myddis therof, ben turned, and fledden togidere, and miyten not stonde; for the dai of sleynge of hem schal come on hem, the tyme of the visityng of hem.
22 Seu ruído sairá como de serpente; pois [seus inimigos] virão com poder; a ela virão com machados, como se fossem cortadores de lenha.
The vois of hem schal sowne as of bras, for thei schulen haste with oost, and with axis thei schulen come to it. As men kittynge doun trees thei kittiden doun the forest therof,
23 Cortarão o seu bosque, diz o SENHOR, ainda que não possam ser contados; porque são mais que gafanhotos, não se pode enumerá- los.
seith the Lord, which mai not be noumbrid; thei ben multiplied ouer locustis, and no noumbre is in hem.
24 A filha do Egito será envergonhada; entregue será nas mãos do povo do norte.
The douytir of Egipt is schent, and bitakun in to the hond of the puple of the north,
25 Diz o SENHOR dos exércitos, Deus de Israel: Eis que eu punirei a Amom de Nô, a Faraó e ao Egito; a seus deuses e a seus reis; tanto a Faraó como aos que nele confiam.
seide the Lord of oostis, God of Israel. Lo! Y schal visite on the noise of Alisaundre, and on Farao, and on Egipt, and on the goddis therof, and on the kyngis therof, and on hem that tristen in hym.
26 E os entregarei nas mãos dos que buscam [tirar] sua vida, e nas mãos de Nabucodonosor rei de Babilônia, e nas mãos de seus servos; porém depois será habitada como nos dias anteriores, diz o SENHOR.
And Y schal yyue hem in to the hondis of men that seken the lijf of hem, and in to the hondis of Nabugodonosor, kyng of Babiloyne, and in to the hondis of hise seruauntis; and aftir these thingis it schal be enhabitid, as in the formere daies, seith the Lord.
27 Mas tu não temas, meu servo Jacó, nem te espantes, ó Israel; porque eis que te salvarei desde [as terras] de longe, e teus descendentes da terra de seu cativeiro. E Jacó voltará, descansará, e viverá em paz; e não haverá quem o atemorize.
And thou, Jacob, my seruaunt, drede thou not, and Israel, drede thou not; for lo! Y schal make thee saaf fro fer place, and thi seed fro the lond of his caitiftee; and Jacob schal turne ayen, and schal reste, and schal haue prosperite, and noon schal be, that schal make hym aferd.
28 Tu, meu servo Jacó, não temas, diz o SENHOR; pois eu estou contigo; porque destruirei por completo todas as nações entre as quais eu te lancei; porem a ti não destruirei por completo, mas te castigarei com moderação, e não te deixarei impune.
And Jacob, my seruaunt, nyle thou drede, seith the Lord, for Y am with thee; for Y schal waste alle folkis, to whiche Y castide thee out; but Y schal not waste thee, but Y schal chastise thee in doom, and Y schal not spare thee as innocent.
