Jeremias 16
1 E veio a mim a palavra do SENHOR, dizendo:
And the word of the Lord was maad to me,
2 Não tomes para ti mulher, nem tenhas filhos nem filhas neste lugar.
and seide, Thou schalt not take a wijf, and sones and douytris schulen not be to thee in this place.
3 Porque assim diz o SENHOR quanto aos filhos e às filhas que nascerem neste lugar, e às suas mães que os tiverem e aos pais que os gerarem nesta terra:
For the Lord seith these thingis on sones and douytris, that ben gendrid in this place, and on the modris of hem, that gendride hem, and on the fadris of hem, of whos generacioun thei ben borun in this lond.
4 De dolorosas enfermidades morrerão; não serão pranteados nem sepultados; servirão de esterco sobre a face da terra; e com espada e com fome serão consumidos, e seus cadáveres servirão de alimento para as aves do céu e para os animais da terra.
Thei schulen die bi dethis of sikenessis, thei schulen not be biweilid, and thei schulen not be biried; thei schulen be in to a dunghil on the face of erthe, and thei schulen be wastid bi swerd and hungur; and the careyn of hem schal be in to mete to the volatilis of heuene, and to beestis of erthe.
5 Porque assim diz o SENHOR: Não entres em casa de luto, nem vás para lamentar, nem mostre compaixão deles; pois deste povo eu tirei minha paz, bondade e misericórdia, diz o SENHOR.
For the Lord seith these thingis, Entre thou not in to an hous of feeste, nethir go thou to biweile, nether comfourte thou hem; for Y haue take awei my pees fro this puple, seith the Lord, `Y haue take awei merci and merciful doyngis.
6 E nesta terra morrerão grandes e pequenos; não serão sepultados, nem pranteados, nem por eles se cortarão, ou rasparão seus cabelos;
And greete and smalle schulen die in this lond; thei schulen not be biried, nethir schulen be biweilid; and thei schulen not kitte hem silf, nethir ballidnesse schal be maad for hem.
7 Nem repartirão pão aos que estiverem de luto, para consolá-los de seus mortos; nem lhes darão a beber copo de consolações pelo pai ou pela mãe.
And thei schulen not breke breed among hem to hym that mourneth, to coumforte on a deed man, and thei schulen not yyue to hem drynk of a cuppe, to coumforte on her fadir and modir.
8 Nem também entres em casa de banquete, para te sentares com eles para comer e beber;
And thou schalt not entre in to the hous of feeste, that thou sitte with hem, and ete, and drynke.
9 Porque assim diz o SENHOR dos exércitos, Deus de Israel: Eis que farei cessar neste lugar, diante de vossos olhos e em vossos dias, toda voz de prazer e toda voz de alegria, toda voz de noivo e toda voz de noiva.
For whi the Lord of oostis, God of Israel, seith these thingis, Lo! Y schal take awei fro this place, bifore youre iyen and in youre daies, the vois of ioie, and the vois of gladnesse, and the vois of spouse, and the vois of spousesse.
10 E será que quando anunciares a este povo todas estas palavras, eles te dirão: Por que o SENHOR falou sobre nós este mal tão grande? E que maldade é a nossa, ou que pecado é o nosso, que cometemos contra o SENHOR nosso Deus?
And whanne thou schalt telle alle these wordis to this puple, and thei schulen seie to thee, Whi spak the Lord al this greet yuel on vs? what is oure wickidnesse, ether what is oure synne which we synneden to oure Lord God?
11 Então lhes dirás: Porque vossos pais me deixaram, diz o SENHOR, e seguiram deuses estrangeiros, os serviram e a eles se prostraram; e me abandonaram, e não guardaram minha Lei;
thou schalt seie to hem, For youre fadris forsoken me, seith the Lord, and yeden aftir alien goddis, and seruyden hem, and worschipiden hem, and thei forsoken me, and kepten not my lawe.
12 E vós fizestes pior que vossos pais; pois eis que vós caminhais cada um atrás da teimosia de seu coração maligno, sem me obedecerem.
But also ye wrouyten worse than youre fadris; for lo! ech man goith aftir the schrewidnesse of his yuel herte, that he here not me.
13 Por isso eu vos lançarei fora desta terra, para uma terra que nem vós nem vossos pais conhecestes; e lá servireis a deuses estrangeiros de dia e de noite, porque não terei misericórdia de vós.
And Y schal caste you out of this lond, in to the lond which ye and youre fadris knowen not; and ye schulen serue there to alien goddis dai and niyt, whiche schulen not yiue reste to you.
14 Porém eis que vêm dias, diz o SENHOR, que não se dirá mais: Vive o SENHOR, que trouxe os filhos de Israel da terra do Egito;
Therfor lo! daies comen, seith the Lord, and it schal no more be seid, The Lord lyueth, that ledde the sones of Israel out of the lond of Egipt;
15 Mas sim: Vive o SENHOR, que trouxe os filhos de Israel da terra do norte, e de todas as terras aonde ele tinha os lançado; pois eu os farei voltar à sua terra, a qual dei a seus pais.
but the Lord lyueth, that ledde the sones of Israel fro the lond of the north, and fro alle londis to whiche Y castide hem out; and Y schal lede hem ayen in to her lond which Y yaf to the fadris of hem.
16 Eis que enviarei muitos pescadores, diz o SENHOR, que os pescarão; e depois enviarei muitos caçadores, que os caçarão de todo monte, e de todo morro, e até das fendas das rochas.
Lo! Y schal sende many fischeris to hem, seith the Lord, and thei schulen fische hem; and aftir these thingis Y schal sende many hunteris to hem, and thei schulen hunte hem fro ech mounteyn, and fro ech litil hil, and fro the caues of stoonys.
17 Pois meus olhos estão sobre todos seus caminhos; eles não estão escondidos de mim, nem a maldade deles está oculta de diante de meus olhos.
For myn iyen ben on alle the weies of hem; tho weies ben not hid fro my face, and the wickidnesse of hem was not priuy fro myn iyen.
18 Mas primeiro pagarei em dobro a iniquidade e o pecado deles, pois contaminaram minha terra com os cadáveres de suas coisas detestáveis, e encheram minha herança de suas abominações.
And Y schal yelde first the double wickidnessis and synnes of hem, for thei defouliden my lond in the slayn beestis of her idols, and filliden myn eritage with her abhomynaciouns.
19 Ó SENHOR, fortaleza minha, e força minha, e meu refúgio no tempo da aflição; a ti virão nações desde os confins da terra, e dirão: Certamente o que nossos pais possuíam era mentira e inutilidade; não havia nessas coisas proveito algum.
Lord, my strengthe, and my stalworthnesse, and my refuyt in the dai of tribulacioun, hethene men schulen come to thee fro the fertheste places of erthe, and schulen seie, Verili oure fadris helden a leesyng in possessioun, vanyte that profitide not to hem.
20 Pode, por acaso, o homem fazer deuses para si? Eles, porém, não são deuses.
Whether a man schal make goddis to hym silf? and tho ben no goddis.
21 Portanto eis que desta vez lhes farei conhecer, lhes farei conhecer minha mão e meu poder, e saberão que EU-SOU é o meu nome.
Therfor lo! Y schal schewe to hem bi this while, Y schal schewe to hem myn hond, and my vertu; and thei schulen wite, that the name to me is Lord.
