Isaías 30
1 Ai dos filhos rebeldes!, diz o SENHOR, Eles, que tomam conselho, mas não de mim; que fazem um pacto, porém sem o meu Espírito, para acrescentarem pecado sobre pecado.
Woe to the apostate children, says the Lord: you have framed counsel, not by me, and covenants not by my Spirit, to add sins to sins:
2 Eles, que descem ao Egito sem me perguntarem, para se fortificarem com a força de Faraó, e confiarem estar protegidos na sombra do Egito.
[even] they that proceed to go down into Egypt, but they have not enquired of me, that they might be helped by Pharao, and protected by the Egyptians.
3 Entretanto, a força de Faraó se tornará vossa vergonha, e a confiança na sombra do Egito [será] humilhação.
For the protection of Pharaoh shall be to you a disgrace, and [there shall be] a reproach to them that trust in Egypt.
4 Ainda que seus príncipes estejam em Zoã, e seus embaixadores tenham chegado a Hanes,
For there are princes in Tanes, evil messengers.
5 Todos se envergonharão por causa de um povo que em nada lhes será útil, nem de ajuda, nem de proveito; mas, ao invés disso, [lhes será] vergonha e humilhação.
In vain shall they labor [in seeking] to a people, which shall not profit them for help, but [shall be] for a shame and reproach.
6 Revelação sobre os animais selvagens do deserto de Negueve: Por entre uma terra da aflição e da angústia, de onde [vem] o leão forte, o leão velho, a cobra e a serpente voadora, eles levam seus bens nas costas de jumentos, e seus tesouros sobre corcovas de camelos, a um povo que em nada [lhes] será útil.
THE VISION OF THE QUADRUPEDS IN THE DESERT. In affliction and distress, [where are] the lion and lion's whelp, thence [come] also asps, and the young of flying asps, [there shall they be] who bore their wealth on asses and camels to a nation which shall not profit them.
7 Porque o Egito [os] ajudará em vão, e inutilmente. Por isso, a este eu tenho chamado: “Raabe, que nada faz”.
The Egyptians shall help you utterly in vain: tell them, This your consolation is vain.
8 Agora vai, [e] escreve isso numa placa na presença deles, e registra isso num livro, para que dure até o último dia, para todo o sempre.
Now then sit down and write these words on a tablet, and in a book; for these things shall be for [many long] days, and even for ever.
9 Porque eles são um povo rebelde, são filhos mentirosos, filhos que não querem ouvir a Lei do SENHOR.
For the people is disobedient, false children, who would not hear the law of God:
10 Que dizem aos videntes: Não tenhais visões, e aos profetas: Não nos reveleis o que é correto! Dizei coisas agradáveis para nós, revelai ilusões!
who say to the prophets, Report not to us; and to them that see visions, Speak [them] not to us, but speak and report to us another error;
11 Desviai-vos do caminho, afastai-vos da vereda! Deixai de nos fazer deparar com o Santo de Israel!
and turn us aside from this way; remove from us this path, and remove from us the oracle of Israel.
12 Portanto, assim diz o Santo de Israel: Visto que rejeitais esta palavra, e vós confiais na opressão e no engano, e nisto vos apoiais,
Therefore thus says the Holy One of Israel, Because you have refused to obey these words, and have trusted in falsehood; and because you have murmured, and been confident in this respect:
13 por isso esta maldade vos será como uma rachadura, prestes a cair, que já encurva um alto muro, cuja queda será repentina e rápida.
therefore shall this sin be to you as a wall suddenly falling when a strong city has been taken, of which the fall is very near at hand.
14 E será quebrado como a quebra de um vaso de oleiro, tão esmigalhado que nada se preservará; não se poderá achar um caco sequer entre seus pedacinhos que sirva para transportar brasas de uma fogueira, ou tirar água de um tanque.
And the fall thereof shall be as the breaking of an earthen vessel, [as] small fragments of a pitcher, so that you should not find among them a sherd, with which you might take up fire, and with which you should draw a little water.
15 Pois assim diz o Senhor DEUS, o Santo de Israel: Com arrependimento e descanso, ficaríeis livres; com calma e confiança teríeis força; mas vós não quisestes.
Thus says the Lord, the Holy Lord of Israel; When you shall turn and mourn, then you shall be saved; and you shall know where you were, when you did trust in vanities: [then] your strength became vain, yet you would not listen:
16 Ao invés disso, dissestes: Não, é melhor fugirmos sobre cavalos. Cavalgaremos em rápidos cavalos! Por isso vós fugireis, mas vossos perseguidores serão [ainda mais] rápidos.
but you said, We will flee upon horses; therefore shall you flee: and, We will be aided by swift riders; therefore shall they that pursue you be swift.
17 Ao grito de um, mil [fugirão], [e] ao grito de cinco, [todos] vós fugireis; até que sejais deixados [solitários], como um mastro no cume do monte, como uma bandeira num morro.
A thousand shall flee because of the voice of one, and many shall flee on account of the voice of five; until you be left as a signal-post upon a mountain, and as one bearing an ensign upon a hill.
18 Por isso o SENHOR esperará para ter piedade de vós; e por isso ele se exaltará, para se compadecer de vós; pois o SENHOR é Deus de juízo; bem-aventurados todos os que nele esperam.
And the Lord will again wait, that he may pity you, and will therefore be exalted that he may have mercy upon you: because the Lord your God is a judge: blessed are they that stay themselves upon him.
19 Pois o povo habitará em Sião, em Jerusalém; certamente não continuarás a chorar; ele terá piedade de ti sob a voz do teu clamor; quando a ouvir, ele te responderá.
For the holy people shall dwell in Sion: and [whereas] Jerusalem has wept bitterly, [saying], Pity me; he shall pity you: when he perceived the voice of your cry, he listened to you.
20 De fato, o Senhor vos dará pão de angústia, e água de opressão; porém teus instrutores nunca mais se esconderão de ti; ao contrário, teus olhos verão os teus instrutores.
And [though] the Lord shall give you the bread of affliction and scant water, yet they that cause you to err shall no more at all draw near to you; for your eyes shall see those that cause you to err,
21 E quando virardes para a direita ou para a esquerda, teus ouvidos ouvirão a palavra [do que] está atrás de ti, dizendo: Este é o caminho; andai por ele.
and your ears shall hear the words of them that went after you to lead you astray, who say, This [is] the way, let us walk in it, whether to the right or to the left.
22 E considerarás tuas esculturas recobertas de prata e tuas imagens revestidas de ouro como impuras; tu as jogarás fora como se fossem panos imundos, e dirás a cada uma delas: Fora daqui!
And you shall pollute the plated idols, and you shall grind to powder the gilt ones, and shall scatter them as the water of a removed [woman], and you shall thrust them forth as dung.
23 Então ele dará chuva sobre tuas sementes que tu tiveres semeado a terra, assim como pão produzido da terra; e esta será fértil e farta; naquele dia teu gado pastará em grandes pastos.
Then shall there be rain to the seed of your land; and the bread of the fruit of your land shall be plenteous and rich: and your cattle shall feed in that day in a fertile and spacious place.
24 Os bois e os jumentos que lavram a terra comerão forragem de boa qualidade, limpa com a pá e o forcado.
Your bulls and your oxen that till the ground, shall eat chaff mixed with winnowed barley.
25 E em todo monte alto e todo morro elevado haverá ribeiros e correntes de águas, no dia da grande matança, quando as torres caírem.
And there shall be upon every lofty mountain and upon every high hill, water running in that day, when many shall perish, and when the towers shall fall.
26 E a luz da lua será como a luz do sol, e a luz do sol será sete vezes maior, como a luz de sete dias, quando o SENHOR atar a fratura de seu povo, e curar a chaga de sua ferida.
And the light of the moon shall be as the light of the sun, and the light of the sun shall be sevenfold in the day when the Lord shall heal the breach of his people, and shall heal the pain of your wound.
27 Eis que o nome do SENHOR vem de longe; sua ira está ardendo, e a carga é pesada; seus lábios estão cheios de ira, e sua língua está como um fogo consumidor.
Behold, the name of the Lord comes after a [long] time, burning wrath: the word of his lips is with glory, a word full of anger, and the anger of his wrath shall devour as fire.
28 E seu sopro como um rio que inunda, chegando até o pescoço, para sacudir as nações com a peneira da inutilidade; e um freio nos queixos dos povos [os] fará andar perdidos.
And his breath, as rushing water in a valley, shall reach as far as the neck, and be divided, to confound the nations for [their] vain error: error also shall pursue them, and overtake them.
29 Um cântico haverá entre vós, tal como na noite em que se santifica uma festa; haverá também alegria de coração, tal como aquele que anda com uma flauta para vir ao monte do SENHOR, à Rocha de Israel.
Must you always rejoice, and go into my holy places continually, as they that keep a feast? and must you go with a pipe, as those that rejoice, into the mountain of the Lord, to the God of Israel?
30 E o SENHOR fará com que ouçam a glória de sua voz, e com que vejam a descida de seu braço, com indignação de ira, e labareda de fogo consumidor, raios, tempestade, e pedra de granizo.
And the Lord shall make his glorious voice to be heard, and the wrath of his arm, to make a display with wrath and anger and devouring flame: he shall lighten terribly, and [his wrath shall be] as water and violent hail.
31 Pois com a voz do SENHOR, a Assíria será feita em pedaços; ele [a] ferirá com a vara.
For by the voice of the Lord the Assyrians shall be overcome, [even] by the stroke wherewith he shall strike them.
32 E será que, em todos os golpes do bordão da firmeza que o SENHOR lhe der, será [acompanhado] de tamborins e harpas; e com ataques agitados ele a atacará.
And it shall happen to him from every side, [that] they from whom their hope of assistance was, in which he trusted, themselves shall war against him in turn with drums and with harp.
33 Pois Tofete já está preparada desde muito tempo, e já está pronta para o rei; ele a fez profunda e larga; sua pira tem muito fogo e lenha; o sopro do SENHOR, como uma correnteza de enxofre, a acenderá.
For you shall be required before [your] time: has it been prepared for you also to reign? nay, God has [prepared for you] a deep trench, wood piled, fire and much wood: the wrath of the Lord [shall be] as a trench kindled with sulphur.
