Isaías 23
1 Revelação sobre Tiro: Uivai, navios de Társis, pois ela está arruinada, sem sobrar casa alguma, nem entrada [nela]. Desde a terra do Chipre isto [lhes] foi informado.
The birthun of Tire. Ye schippis of the see, yelle, for the hous is distried, fro whennus coumfort was wont to come; fro the lond of Cethym, and was schewid to hem.
2 Calai-vos, moradores do litoral; vós mercadores de Sidom, que vos enchíeis [pelos] que atravessavam o mar.
Be ye stille, that dwellen in the ile, the marchaundie of Sidon; men passynge the see filliden thee in many watris;
3 E sua renda era os grãos de Sior, a colheita do Nilo, [que vinha] por muitas águas. Ela era o centro de comércio das nações.
the seed of Nylus is heruest, the flood is the corn therof, and it is maad the marchaundie of hethene men.
4 Envergonha-te, Sidom; pois o mar falou, a fortaleza do mar disse: Eu não tive dores de parto, nem de mim nasceu criança; nunca criei meninos nem eduquei virgens.
Thou, Sidon, be aschamed, seide the see, the strengthe of the see, and seide, Y trauelide not of child, and Y childide not, and Y nurschide not yonge men, and Y brouyte not fulli virgyns to encreessyng.
5 Quando as notícias [chegarem] ao Egito, eles se angustiarão com as informações de Tiro.
Whanne it schal be herd in Egipt, thei schulen make sorewe, whanne thei heren of Tire.
6 Passai-vos a Társis; uivai, moradores do litoral!
Passe ye the sees; yelle ye, that dwellen in the ile.
7 É esta a vossa alegre cidade? A que existia desde os tempos antigos? Eram os pés dela que a levavam para alcançar lugares distantes?
Whether this citee is not youre, that hadde glorie fro elde daies in his eldnesse? the feet therof schulen lede it fer, to go in pilgrymage.
8 Quem foi, pois, que determinou isto contra Tiro, a que dava coroas, que cujos mercadores eram príncipes, e cujos comerciantes eram os mais ilustres da terra?
Who thouyte this thing on Tire sum tyme crownede, whos marchauntis weren princes, the selleris of marchaundie therof weren noble men of erthe?
9 Foi o SENHOR dos exércitos que determinou isto, para envergonhar o orgulho de sua beleza, e humilhar a todos os ilustres da terra.
The Lord of oostis thouyte this thing, that he schulde drawe doun the pride of al glorie, and that he schulde bringe to schenschipe alle the noble men of erthe.
10 Passa-te como o rio à tua terra, ó filha de Társis, [pois] já não há mais fortaleza.
Thou douyter of the see, passe thi lond as a flood; a girdil is no more to thee.
11 Ele estendeu sua mão sobre o mar, [e] abalou aos reinos; o SENHOR deu uma ordem contra Canaã, para destruir suas fortalezas.
It stretchide forth his hond aboue the see, and disturblide rewmes. The Lord sente ayenes Canaan, for to al to-breke the stronge men therof;
12 E disse: Nunca mais te encherás de alegria, ó oprimida virgem, filha de Sidom; levanta-te, passa ao Chipre; e alinda ali não terás descanso.
and he seide, Thou maide, the douyter of Sidon, that suffrist caleng, schalt no more adde, that thou haue glorie. Rise thou, and passe ouer the see in to Sechym; there also no reste schal be to thee.
13 Olhai para a terra dos Caldeus, este que deixou de ser povo. A Assíria a fundou para os que moravam no deserto; levantaram suas fortalezas, e derrubaram seus palácios; transformou-a em ruínas.
Lo! the lond of Caldeis, sich a puple was not; Assur foundide that Tyre; thei ledden ouer in to caitifte the strong men therof; thei myneden the housis therof, thei settiden it in to fallyng.
14 Uivai, navios de Társis; porque destruída está vossa fortaleza.
Yelle, ye schippis of the see, for youre strengthe is distried.
15 E será naquele dia, que Tiro será esquecida por setenta anos, como dias de um rei; [mas] ao fim de setenta anos, haverá em Tiro [algo] como a canção da prostituta:
And it schal be, in that dai, thou Tire, schalt be in foryetyng bi seuenti yeer, as the daies of o king; but aftir seuenti yeer, as the song of an hoore schal be to Tyre.
16 Toma uma harpa, rodeia a cidade, ó prostituta esquecida; toca boa música, [e] canta várias canções, para que tu sejas lembrada.
Thou hoore, youun to foryetyng, take an harpe, cumpasse the citee; synge thou wel, vse thou ofte a song, that mynde be of thee.
17 Pois será que, ao fim de setenta anos, o SENHOR visitará a Tiro, e voltará à sua atividade, prostituindo-se com todos os reinos do mundo que há sobre a face da terra.
And it schal be, aftir seuenti yeer, the Lord schal visite Tire, and schal brynge it ayen to hise hiris; and eft it schal be, whanne it schal do fornycacioun with alle rewmes of erthe, on the face of erthe.
18 Mas seu comércio e seus ganhos como prostituta serão consagrados ao SENHOR; não serão guardados nem depositados; mas seu comércio será para os que habitam perante o SENHOR, para que comam até se saciarem, e tenham roupas de boa qualidade.
And the marchaundies therof and the meedis therof schulen be halewid to the Lord; tho schulen not be hid, nethir schulen be leid vp; for whi the marchaundie therof schal be to hem that dwellen bifore the Lord, that thei ete to fulnesse, and be clothid `til to eldnesse.
