Isaías 13
1 Revelação sobre a Babilônia, vista por Isaías, filho de Amoz.
The burden of Babel, which Isaiah the sonne of Amoz did see.
2 Levantai uma bandeira sobre um alto monte, levantai a voz a eles; movei a mão ao alto, para que entrem pelas portas dos príncipes.
Lift vp a standard vpon the hie mountaine: lift vp the voyce vnto them: wagge the hand, that they may goe into the gates of the nobles.
3 Eu dei ordens aos meus santificados; também chamei aos meus guerreiros para minha ira, aos que se alegram com minha glória.
I haue commanded them, that I haue sanctified: and I haue called ye mightie to my wrath, and them that reioyce in my glorie.
4 Há um ruído de tumulto sobre os montes, como o de um imenso povo; ruído de multidões de reinos de nações reunidas; o SENHOR dos exércitos está revistando um exército para a guerra.
The noyse of a multitude is in the mountaines, like a great people: a tumultuous voyce of the kingdomes of the nations gathered together: the Lord of hostes nombreth the hoste of the battell.
5 Eles vêm de uma terra distante, desde a extremidade do céu; o SENHOR e os instrumentos de seu furor, para destruir toda [aquela] terra.
They come from a farre countrey, from the end of the heauen: euen the Lord with the weapons of his wrath to destroy the whole land.
6 Gritai lamentando, pois o dia do SENHOR está perto; vem como assolação pelo Todo-Poderoso.
Howle you, for the day of the Lord is at hande: it shall come as a destroier from the Almightie.
7 Por isso todas as mãos ficarão fracas, e o coração de todos os homens se derreterá.
Therefore shall all hands be weakened, and all mens hearts shall melt,
8 E ficarão aterrorizados; serão tomados por dores e angústias; sofrerão como mulher com dores de parto; cada um terá medo de seu próximo, seus rostos serão rostos em chamas.
And they shalbe afraid: anguish and sorowe shall take them, and they shall haue paine, as a woman that trauaileth: euery one shall be amased at his neighbour, and their faces shalbe like flames of fire.
9 Eis que o dia do SENHOR vem horrendo, com furor e ira ardente, para pôr a terra em assolação, e destruir os pecadores nela.
Beholde, the day of the Lord commeth, cruel, with wrath and fierce anger to lay the land wast: and he shall destroy the sinners out of it.
10 Porque as estrelas dos céus e suas constelações não darão sua luz; o sol se escurecerá ao nascer, e a lua não brilhará com sua luz.
For the starres of heauen and the planets thereof shall not giue their light: the sunne shalbe darkened in his going foorth, and the moone shall not cause her light to shine.
11 Porque visitarei para punir sobre o mundo a maldade, e sobre os maus sua perversidade; e porei fim à arrogância dos soberbos, e abaterei o orgulho dos tiranos.
And I will visite the wickednes vpon the worlde, and their iniquitie vpon the wicked, and I wil cause the arrogancie of the proud to cease, and will cast downe the pride of tyrants.
12 Farei com que um varão seja mais raro que o ouro maciço, e um homem mais que o ouro fino de Ofir.
I will make a man more precious then fine golde, euen a man aboue the wedge of golde of Ophir.
13 Por isso farei estremecer aos céus, e a terra se moverá de seu lugar, por causa do furor do SENHOR dos exércitos, e por causa de sua ardente ira.
Therefore I will shake the heauen, and the earth shall remooue out of her place in the wrath of the Lord of hostes, and in the day of his fierce anger.
14 E será que, como uma corça em fuga, e como uma ovelha que ninguém recolhe, cada um se voltará para seu povo, e cada um fugirá para sua terra.
And it shall be as a chased doe, and as a sheepe that no man taketh vp. euery man shall turne to his owne people, and flee eche one to his owne lande.
15 Qualquer um que for achado, será traspassado; e qualquer um que se juntar a ele cairá pela espada.
Euery one that is founde, shall be striken through: and whosoeuer ioyneth himselfe, shall fal by the sworde.
16 E suas crianças serão despedaçadas perante seus olhos; suas casas serão saqueadas, e suas mulheres estupradas.
Their children also shall be broken in pieces before their eyes: their houses shall be spoiled, and their wiues rauished.
17 Eis que despertarei contra eles aos medos, que não se importarão com a prata, nem desejarão ouro.
Beholde, I will stirre vp the Medes against them, which shall not regarde siluer, nor be desirous of golde.
18 E [com seus] arcos despedaçarão aos rapazes, e não terão piedade do fruto do ventre; o olho deles não terá compaixão das crianças.
With bowes also shall they destroy ye children, and shall haue no compassion vpon the fruit of the wombe, and their eies shall not spare the children.
19 Assim será Babilônia, a joia dos reinos, a beleza e o orgulho dos caldeus, semelhante a Sodoma e Gomorra, quando Deus [as] arruinou.
And Babel the glorie of kingdomes, the beautie and pride of the Chaldeans, shall be as the destruction of God in Sodom and Gomorah.
20 Nunca mais será habitada, nem [nela] se morará, de geração em geração; nem o árabe armará ali sua tenda, nem os pastores farão descansar ali [seus] rebanhos.
It shall not bee inhabited for euer, neither shall it be dwelled in from generation to generation: neither shall the Arabian pitch his tents there, neither shall the shepheardes make their foldes there.
21 Mas os animais selvagens do deserto ali descansarão, e suas casas se encherão de animais medonhos; e ali habitarão corujas, e bodes selvagens saltarão ali.
But Ziim shall lodge there, and their houses shall be ful of Ohim: Ostriches shall dwel there, and the Satyrs shall dance there.
22 E as hienas uivarão em suas fortalezas, e chacais em seus confortáveis palácios. Pois está chegando bem perto o seu tempo, e os dias dela não se prolongarão.
And Iim shall crie in their palaces, and dragons in their pleasant palaces: and the time thereof is readie to come, and the daies thereof shall not be prolonged.
