Oséias 14

1 Converte-te, ó Israel, ao SENHOR teu Deus; pois caíste por tua maldade.

O Israel, returne vnto the Lord thy God: for thou hast fallen by thine iniquitie.

2 Tomai convosco palavras, e convertei-vos ao SENHOR; dizei-lhe: Tira toda a maldade, e aceita o que é bom; então ofereceremos nossos lábios como bezerros.

Take vnto you words, and turne to the Lord, and say vnto him, Take away all iniquitie, and receiue vs graciously: so wil we render the calues of our lippes.

3 Os assírios não nos salvarão; não cavalgaremos sobre cavalos, e nunca mais chamaremos à obra de nossas mãos de nossos deuses; porque em ti o órfão alcançará misericórdia.

Asshur shall not saue vs, neither wil we ride vpon horses, neither will we say any more to the worke of our handes, Ye are our gods: for in thee the fatherlesse findeth mercie.

4 Eu curarei sua rebelião, eu os amarei voluntariamente, porque minha ira terá se afastado deles.

I wil heale their rebellion: I wil loue them freely: for mine anger is turned away from him.

5 Eu serei a Israel como o orvalho; ele florescerá como lírio, e estenderá suas raízes como o [cedro do] Líbano.

I will be as the dewe vnto Israel: he shall grow as the lilie and fasten his rootes, as the trees of Lebanon.

6 Seus ramos se estenderão; sua beleza como a da oliveira, e sua fragrância como o [cedro do] Líbano.

His branches shall spread, and his beautie shalbe as the oliue tree, and his smell as Lebanon.

7 Voltarão, e habitarão abaixo de sua sombra: serão vivificados [como] o trigo, e florescerão como a videira; sua fama será como o vinho do Líbano.

They that dwel vnder his shadow, shall returne: they shall reuiue as the corne, and florish as the vine: the sent thereof shalbe as the wine of Lebanon.

8 Ó Efraim, o que mais eu tenho a ver com os ídolos? Eu o responderei, e dele cuidarei; serei a ele como a faia verde; de mim vem o teu fruto.

Ephraim shall say, What haue I to doe any more with idoles? I haue heard him, and looked vpon him: I am like a greene firre tree: vpon me is thy fruite founde.

9 Quem é sábio entenda estas coisas, e o prudente as reconheça; porque os caminhos do SENHOR são retos, e os justos andarão neles; mas os transgressores neles cairão.

Who is wise, and he shall vnderstande these things? and prudent, and he shall knowe them? for the wayes of the Lord are righteous, and the iust shall walke in them: but the wicked shall fall therein.
