Gênesis 19
1 Chegaram, pois, os dois anjos a Sodoma ao cair da tarde; e Ló estava sentado à porta de Sodoma. E vendo-os Ló, levantou-se a recebê-los, e inclinou-se até o chão;
And tweyne aungels camen to Sodom in the euentide, while Loth sat in the yatis of the citee. And whanne he hadde seyn hem, he roos, and yede ayens hem, and worschipide lowe to erthe,
2 E disse: Agora, pois, meus senhores, vos rogo que venhais à casa de vosso servo e vos hospedeis, e lavareis vossos pés: e pela manhã vos levantareis, e seguireis vosso caminho. E eles responderam: Não, que na praça nos ficaremos esta noite.
and seide, My lordis, Y biseche, bowe ye in to the hous of youre child, and dwelle ye there; waische ye youre feet, and in the morewtid ye schulen go in to youre weie. Whiche seiden, Nay, but we schulen dwelle in the street.
3 Mas ele insistiu com eles muito, e se vieram com ele, e entraram em sua casa; e fez-lhes banquete, e cozeu pães sem levedura e comeram.
He constreynede hem greetli, that thei schulden turne to hym. And whanne thei weren entrid in to his hous, he made a feeste, he bakide therf breed, and thei eten.
4 E antes que se deitassem, cercaram a casa os homens da cidade, os homens de Sodoma, todo o povo junto, desde o mais jovem até o mais velho;
Forsothe bifore that thei yeden to sleepe, men of the citee compassiden his hows, fro a child `til to an eld man, al the puple togidre;
5 E chamaram a Ló, e lhe disseram: Onde estão os homens que vieram a ti esta noite? tira-os a nós, para que os conheçamos.
and thei clepiden Loth, and seiden to him, Where ben the men that entriden to thee to nyyt? brynge hem out hidur, that we `knowe hem.
6 Então Ló saiu a eles à porta, e fechou as portas atrás de si,
And Loth yede out to hem `bihynde the bak, and closide the dore,
7 E disse: Eu vos rogo, meus irmãos, que não façais tal maldade.
and seide, Y biseche, nyle ye, my britheren, nyle ye do this yuel.
8 Eis aqui agora eu tenho duas filhas que não conheceram homem; eu as tirarei fora para vós, e fazei delas como bem vos parecer: somente a estes homens não façais nada, pois que vieram à sombra de meu telhado.
Y haue twey douytris, that knewen not yit man; Y schal lede out hem to you, and mys vse ye hem as it plesith you, so that ye doon noon yuel to these men, for thei entriden vndur the schadewe of my roof.
9 E eles responderam: Sai daí: e acrescentaram: Veio este aqui para habitar como um estrangeiro, e haverá de levantar-se como juiz? Agora te faremos mais mal que a eles. E faziam grande violência ao homem, a Ló, e se aproximaram para romper as portas.
And thei seiden, Go thou fro hennus. And eft thei seiden, Thou entridist as a comelyng; wher that thou deme? therfor we schulen turment thee more than these. And thei diden violentli to Loth ful greetli. Thanne it was nyy that thei wolden breke the doris; and lo!
10 Então os homens estenderam a mão, e meteram a Ló em casa com eles, e fecharam as portas.
the men puttiden hoond, and ledden in Loth to hem, and thei closiden the dore.
11 E aos homens que estavam à porta da casa desde o menor até o maior, feriram com cegueira; mas eles se cansavam tentando achar a porta.
And thei smyten with blyndenesse hem that weren withoutforth, fro the leest til to the moost; so that thei myyten not fynde the dore.
12 E disseram os homens a Ló: Tens aqui alguém mais? Genros, e teus filhos e tuas filhas, e tudo o que tens na cidade, tira-o deste lugar:
Forsothe thei seiden to Loth, Hast thou here ony man of thine, hosebonde of thi douyter, ethir sones, ethir douytris; lede thou out of this citee alle men that ben thine,
13 Porque vamos destruir este lugar, porquanto o clamor deles subiu demais diante do SENHOR; portanto o SENHOR nos enviou para destruí-lo.
for we schulen do a wey this place, for the cry of hem encreesside bifor the Lord, which sente vs that we leese hem.
14 Então saiu Ló, e falou a seus genros, os que haviam de se casar com suas filhas, e lhes disse: Levantai-vos, saí deste lugar; porque o SENHOR vai destruir esta cidade. Mas pareceu a seus genros como que se ridicularizava.
And so Loth yede out, and spak to the hosebondys of his douytris, that schulden take hise douytris, and seide, Rise ye, and go ye out of this place; for the Lord schal do awey this citee. And he was seyn to hem to speke as pleiynge.
15 E ao raiar a alva, os anjos davam pressa a Ló, dizendo: Levanta-te, toma tua mulher, e teus dois filhas que se acham aqui, para que não pereças no castigo da cidade.
And whanne the morewtid was, the aungels constreyneden hym, and seiden, Rise thou, and take thi wijf, and thi twey douytris whiche thou hast, lest also thou perische to gidere in the synne of the citee.
16 E demorando-se ele, os homens pegaram por sua mão, e pela mão de sua mulher, e pelas mãos de suas duas filhas segundo a misericórdia do SENHOR para com ele; e o tiraram, e o puseram fora da cidade.
While he dissymelide, thei token his hond, and the hond of his wijf, and of his twey doutris; for the Lord sparide hym.
17 E foi que quando os tirou fora, disse: Escapa por tua vida; não olhes atrás de ti, nem pares toda esta planície; escapa ao monte, não seja que pereças.
And thei ledden out hym, and settiden with out the citee. There thei spaken to him, and seiden, Saue thou thi lijf; nyle thou biholde bihynde thi bac, nether stond thou in al the cuntre aboute, but make thee saaf in the hil; lest also thou perische togidere.
18 E Ló lhes disse: Não, eu vos rogo, senhores meus;
And Loth seide to hem, My lord, Y biseche,
19 Eis que agora achou teu servo favor em teus olhos, e engrandeceste tua misericórdia que fizeste comigo dando-me a vida; mas eu não poderei escapar ao monte, não seja caso que me alcance o mal e morra.
for thi seruaunt hath founde grace bifore thee, and thou hast magnyfied thi grace and mercy, which thou hast do with me, that thou schuldist saue my lijf; Y may not be saued in the hil, lest perauenture yuel take me, and Y die;
20 Eis que agora esta cidade está próxima para fugir ali, a qual é pequena; escaparei agora ali, (não é ela pequena?) e viverá minha alma.
a litil citee is here bisidis, to which Y may fle, and Y schal be saued ther ynne; where it is not a litil citee? and my soule schal lyue ther ynne.
21 E lhe respondeu: Eis que recebi também tua súplica sobre isto, e não destruirei a cidade de que falaste.
And he seide to Loth, Lo! also in this Y haue resseyued thi preieris, that Y distrye not the citee, for which thou hast spoke;
22 Apressa-te, escapa-te ali; porque nada poderei fazer até que ali tenhas chegado. Por isto foi chamado o nome da cidade, Zoar.
haste thou, and be thou saued there, for Y may not do ony thing til thou entre thidur. Therfor the name of that citee was clepid Segor.
23 O sol saía sobre a terra, quando Ló chegou a Zoar.
The sunne roos on erthe, and Loth entride in to Segor.
24 Então choveu o SENHOR sobre Sodoma e sobre Gomorra enxofre e fogo da parte do SENHOR desde os céus;
Therfor the Lord reynede on Sodom and Gomorre brynston and fier, fro the Lord fro heuene,
25 E destruiu as cidades, e toda aquela planície, com todos os moradores daquelas cidades, e o fruto da terra.
and distriede these citees, and al the cuntrey aboute; he destriede alle enhabiters of citees, and all grene thingis of erthe.
26 Então a mulher de Ló olhou atrás, às costas dele, e se tornou estátua de sai.
And his wijf lokide abac, and was turned in to an ymage of salt.
27 E subiu Abraão pela manhã ao lugar onde havia estado diante do SENHOR:
Forsothe Abraham risynge eerly, where he stood bifore with the Lord,
28 E olhou até Sodoma e Gomorra, e até toda a terra daquela planície olhou; e eis que a fumaça subia da terra como a fumaça de um forno.
bihelde Sodom and Gomorre, and al the lond of that cuntrey; and he seiy a deed sparcle stiynge fro erthe, as the smoke of a furneis.
29 Assim foi que, quando destruiu Deus as cidades da planície, lembrou-se Deus de Abraão, e enviou fora a Ló do meio da destruição, ao assolar as cidades onde Ló estava.
For whanne God distriede the citees of that cuntrey, he hadde mynde of Abraham, and delyuerede Loth fro destriynge of the citees in whiche he dwellide.
30 Porém Ló subiu de Zoar, e assentou no monte, e suas duas filhas com ele; porque teve medo de ficar em Zoar, e se abrigou em uma caverna ele e suas duas filhas.
And Loth stiede fro Segor, and dwellide in the hil, and hise twey douytris with him, for he dredde to dwelle in Segor; and he dwellide in a denne, he and his twey douytris with hym.
31 Então a maior disse à menor: Nosso pai é velho, e não resta homem na terra que entre a nós conforme o costume de toda a terra:
And the more douytre seide to the lasse, Oure fadre is eld, and no man is left in erthe, that may entre to vs, bi the custom of al erthe;
32 Vem, demos a beber vinho a nosso pai, e durmamos com ele, e conservaremos de nosso pai geração.
come thou, make we him drunkun of wyn, and slepe we with him, that we moun kepe seed of oure fadir.
33 E deram a beber vinho a seu pai aquela noite: e entrou a maior, e dormiu com seu pai; mas ele não sentiu quando se deitou com ela nem quando se levantou.
And so thei yauen to her fadir to drynke wyn in that nyyt, and the more douyter entrede, and slepte with hir fadir; and he feelide not, nethir whanne the douytir lay doun, nether whanne sche roos.
34 O dia seguinte disse a maior à menor: Eis que eu dormi a noite passada com meu pai; demos a ele de beber vinho também esta noite, e entra e dorme com ele, para que conservemos de nosso pai geração.
And in the tothir dai the more douytir seide to the lasse, Lo! Y slepte yistirdai with my fadir, yyue we to hym to drynk wyn also in this nyyt; and thou schalt slepe with hym, that we saue seed of oure fadir.
35 E deram a beber vinho a seu pai também aquela noite: e levantou-se a menor, e dormiu com ele; mas não conseguiu perceber quando se deitou com ela, nem quando se levantou.
And thei yauen to her fadir also in that nyyt to drynke wyn, and the lesse douytir entride, and slepte with him; and sotheli he feelide not thanne whanne sche lay doun, nether whanne sche roos.
36 E conceberam as duas filhas de Ló, de seu pai.
Therfor the twei douytris of Loth conseyuede of hir fadir.
37 E deu à luz a maior um filho, e chamou seu nome Moabe, o qual é pai dos moabitas até hoje.
And the more douytre childide a sone, and clepide his name Moab; he is the fadir of men of Moab `til in to present dai.
38 A menor também deu à luz um filho, e chamou seu nome Ben-Ami, o qual é pai dos amonitas até hoje.
And the lesse douyter childide a sone, and clepide his name Amon, that is, the sone of my puple; he is the fadir of men of Amon til to day.
