Esdras 7
1 Passadas estas coisas, no reinado de Artaxerxes, rei da Pérsia, Esdras, filho de Seraías, filho de Azarias, filho de Hilquias,
And after these things, in the reign of Artaxerxes king of Persia, Ezra son of Seraiah, son of Azariah, son of Hilkiah,
2 filho de Salum, filho de Zadoque, filho de Aitube,
son of Shallum, son of Zadok, son of Ahitub,
3 filho de Amarias, filho de Azarias, filho de Meraiote,
son of Amariah, son of Azariah, son of Meraioth,
4 filho de Zeraías, filho de Uzi, filho de Buqui,
son of Zerahiah, son of Uzzi, son of Bukki,
5 filho de Abisua, filho de Fineias, filho de Eleazar, filho de Arão, o sumo sacerdote;
son of Abishua, son of Phinehas, son of Eleazar, son of Aaron the head priest;
6 este Esdras subiu da Babilônia; e ele era escriba habilidoso na lei de Moisés, dada pelo SENHOR Deus de Israel; e segundo a mão do SENHOR, seu Deus, sobre ele, o rei lhe deu tudo quanto lhe pedira.
Ezra himself hath come up from Babylon, and he [is] a scribe ready in the law of Moses, that Jehovah God of Israel gave, and the king giveth to him — according to the hand of Jehovah his God upon him — all his request.
7 E subiram com ele a Jerusalém [alguns] dos filhos de Israel, dos sacerdotes, levitas, cantores, porteiros, e servos do templo, no sétimo ano do rei Artaxerxes.
And there go up of the sons of Israel, and of the priests, and the Levites, and the singers, and the gatekeepers, and the Nethinim, unto Jerusalem, in the seventh year of Artaxerxes the king.
8 E ele chegou a Jerusalém no mês quinto, no sétimo ano do rei.
And he cometh in to Jerusalem in the fifth month, that [is in] the seventh year of the king,
9 Pois no primeiro [dia] do mês primeiro, foi o princípio da subida da Babilônia; e ao primeiro do mês quinto chegou a Jerusalém, segundo a boa mão de seu Deus sobre ele.
for on the first of the month he hath founded the ascent from Babylon, and on the first of the fifth month he hath come in unto Jerusalem, according to the good hand of his God upon him,
10 Porque Esdras tinha decidido em seu coração buscar a lei do SENHOR, e a praticar; e ensinar a Israel [seus] estatutos e juízos.
for Ezra hath prepared his heart to seek the law of Jehovah, and to do, and to teach in Israel statute and judgment.
11 E este é a transcrição da carta que o rei Artaxerxes deu a Esdras, sacerdote e escriba, o escriba das palavras dos mandamentos do SENHOR, e de seus estatutos sobre Israel:
And this [is] a copy of the letter that the king Artaxerxes gave to Ezra the priest, the scribe, a scribe of the words of the commands of Jehovah, and of His statutes on Israel:
12 Artaxerxes, rei de reis, ao sacerdote Esdras, escriba da Lei de Deus do céu. [Paz] completa.
'Artaxerxes, king of kings, to Ezra the priest, a perfect scribe of the law of the God of heaven, and at such a time:
13 Por mim é promulgado decreto, que todo aquele em meu reino, do povo de Israel, e de seus sacerdotes e levitas, que quiser ir contigo a Jerusalém, vá.
By me hath been made a decree that every one who is willing, in my kingdom, of the people of Israel and of its priests and Levites, to go to Jerusalem with thee, doth go;
14 Porque de parte do rei e de seus sete conselheiros tu és enviado a investigar a respeito da de Judá e de Jerusalém, conforme a lei de teu Deus que está em tua mão;
because that from the king and his seven counsellors thou art sent, to inquire concerning Judah and concerning Jerusalem, with the law of God that [is] in thy hand,
15 E a levar a prata e o ouro que o rei e seus conselheiros voluntariamente deram ao Deus de Israel, cuja habitação está em Jerusalém;
and to carry silver and gold that the king and his counsellors willingly offered to the God of Israel, whose tabernacle [is] in Jerusalem,
16 E também toda a prata e o ouro que achares em toda a província de Babilônia, com as ofertas voluntárias do povo e dos sacerdotes, que voluntariamente oferecerem para a casa de seu Deus que está em Jerusalém.
and all the silver and gold that thou findest in all the province of Babylon, with the free-will offerings of the people, and of the priests, offering willingly, for the house of their God that [is] in Jerusalem,
17 Portanto, com este dinheiro, compra novilhos, carneiros, cordeiros, com seus suas ofertas de alimento e suas ofertas de bebidas, e oferece-os sobre o altar da casa de vosso Deus, que está em Jerusalém.
therefore thou dost speedily buy with this money, bullocks, rams, lambs, and their presents, and their libations, and dost bring them near to the altar of the house of your God that [is] in Jerusalem,
18 Também o que a ti e a teus irmãos parecer bem fazerdes do restante da prata e do ouro, fazei [-o] conforme a vontade de vosso Deus.
and that which to thee and to thy brethren is good to do with the rest of the silver and gold, according to the will of your God ye do.'
19 E os utensílios que te foram entregues para o serviço da casa de teu Deus, restitui-os diante do Deus de Jerusalém.
'And the vessels that are given to thee, for the service of the house of thy God, make perfect before the God of Jerusalem;
20 E o demais que for necessário para a casa de teu Deus que caiba a ti dar, tu o darás da casa dos tesouros do rei.
and the rest of the needful things of the house of thy God, that it falleth to thee to give, thou dost give from the treasure-house of the king.
21 E por mim mesmo, o rei Artaxerxes, é dado decreto a todos os tesoureiros que estão além do rio, que tudo quanto o sacerdote Esdras, escriba da lei do Deus dos céus, vos pedir, apressadamente lhe seja concedido;
'And by me — I Artaxerxes the king — is made a decree to all treasurers who [are] beyond the river, that all that Ezra the priest, scribe of the law of the God of heaven, doth ask of you, be done speedily:
22 Até cem talentos de prata, e até cem coros de trigo, e até cem batos de vinho, e até cem batos de azeite; e sal sem limite.
Unto silver a hundred talents, and unto wheat a hundred cors, and unto wine a hundred baths, and unto oil a hundred baths, and salt without reckoning;
23 Tudo o que for ordenado pelo Deus do céu, prontamente se faça para a casa do Deus do céu; pois para que teria de haver grande ira contra o reino do rei e de seus filhos?
all that [is] by the decree of the God of heaven, let be done diligently for the house of the God of heaven; for why is there wrath against the kingdom of the king and his sons?
24 Também vos fazemos saber, acerca de todos os sacerdotes, levitas, cantores, porteiros, servos do templo, e trabalhadores da casa de Deus, ninguém possa lhes impor tributo, imposto, ou taxa.
'And to you we are making known, that upon any of the priests and Levites, singers, gatekeepers, Nethinim, and servants of the house of God, tribute and custom there is no authority to lift up.
25 E tu, Esdras, conforme a sabedoria de teu Deus que está contigo, põe oficiais e juízes, que julguem a todo o povo que está além do rio, a todos os que conhecem as Leis de teu Deus; e ao que não as conhecerem, tu lhes ensinará.
'And thou, Ezra, according to the wisdom of thy God, that [is] in thy hand, appoint magistrates and judges who may be judges to all the people who are beyond the river, to all knowing the law of thy God, and he who hath not known ye cause to know;
26 E todo aquele que não cumprir a Lei de teu Deus e a lei do rei, prontamente seja julgado, ou à morte, ou à expulsão, ou à multa, ou à prisão.
and any who doth not do the law of thy God, and the law of the king, speedily is judgment done upon him, whether to death, or to banishment, or to confiscation of riches, and to bonds.'
27 Bendito seja o SENHOR, Deus de nossos pais, que pôs tal coisa no coração do rei, para glorificar a casa do SENHOR, que está em Jerusalém;
Blessed [is] Jehovah, God of our fathers, who hath given such a thing as this in the heart of the king, to beautify the house of Jehovah that [is] in Jerusalem,
28 E sobre mim inclinou bondade diante do rei e de seus conselheiros, e de todos os príncipes poderosos do rei. Assim eu me esforcei segundo a mão do SENHOR meu Deus sobre mim, e ajuntei os líderes de Israel para subirem comigo.
and unto me hath stretched out kindness before the king and his counsellors, and before all the mighty heads of the king: and I have strengthened myself as the hand of Jehovah my God [is] upon me, and I gather out of Israel heads to go up with me.
