2 Reis 14
1 No ano segundo de Joás filho de Jeoacaz rei de Israel, começou a reinar Amazias filho de Joás rei de Judá.
Yn the secounde yeer of Joas, sone of Joachas, kyng of Israel, Amasie, sone of Joas, kyng of Juda, regnyde.
2 Quando começou a reinar era de vinte e cinco anos, e reinou vinte e nove anos em Jerusalém: o nome de sua mãe foi Jeoadã, de Jerusalém.
Amasie was of fyue and twenti yeer, whanne he bigan to regne; forsothe he regnyde in Jerusalem nyne and twenti yeer; the name of his modir was Joade of Jerusalem.
3 E ele fez o que era correto aos olhos do SENHOR, ainda que não como Davi seu pai: fez conforme a todas as coisas que havia feito Joás seu pai.
And he dide riytfulnesse bifor the Lord, netheles not as Dauid, his fadir; he dide bi alle thingis whiche Joas, his fadir, dide, no but this oonli,
4 Contudo isso os altos não foram tirados; que o povo ainda sacrificava e queimava incenso nos altos.
that he dide not awei hiy thingis; for yit the puple made sacrifice, and brent encence in hiy thingis.
5 E logo que o reino foi confirmado em sua mão, feriu a seus servos, os que haviam matado ao rei seu pai.
And whanne he hadde gete the rewme, he smoot hise seruauntis, that hadden killid the kyng, his fadir;
6 Mas não matou aos filhos dos que lhe mataram, conforme o que está escrito no livro da lei de Moisés, de onde o SENHOR mandou, dizendo: Não matarão aos pais pelos filhos, nem aos filhos pelos pais: mas cada um morrerá por seu pecado.
but he killide not the sones of hem that hadden slayn `the kyng, bi that that is writun in the book of the lawe of Moyses, as the Lord comaundide to Moises, and seide, Fadris schulen not die for the sones, nethir the sones for the fadris, but eche man schal die in his owne synne.
7 Este feriu também dez mil edomitas no vale das salinas, e tomou a Selá por guerra, e chamou-a Jocteel, até hoje.
He smoot Edom in the valey of makyngis of salt, `he smoot ten thousynde, and took `the Stoon in batel; and he clepide the name therof Jethel, `til in to present dai.
8 Então Amazias enviou embaixadores a Joás, filho de Jeoacaz filho de Jeú, rei de Israel, dizendo: Vem, e vejamo-nos face a face.
Thanne Amasie sente messangeris to Joas, sone of Joachaz, sone of Hieu, kyng of Israel, and seide, Come thou, and se we vs `in batel.
9 E Joás rei de Israel enviou a Amazias rei de Judá esta resposta: O cardo que está no Líbano enviou a dizer ao cedro que está no Líbano: Da tua filha por mulher a meu filho. E passaram os animais selvagens que estão no Líbano, e pisaram o cardo.
And Joas, kyng of Israel, sente ayen to Amasie, kyng of Juda, and seide, The cardue, `that is, a low eerbe, and ful of thornes, of the Liban sente to the cedre, which is in the Liban, and seide, Yyue thi douytir wijf to my sone; and the beestis of the forest, that ben in the Liban, passiden, and tredden doun the cardue.
10 Certamente feriste a Edom, e teu coração te envaideceu: gloria-te, pois, mas fica-te em tua casa. E por que te intrometerás em um mal, para que caias tu, e Judá contigo?
Thou hast smyte, and haddist the maistri on Edom, and thin herte hath reisid thee; be thou apaied with glorie, and sitte in thin hows; whi excitist thou yuel, that thou falle, and Juda with thee?
11 Mas Amazias não deu ouvidos; pelo que subiu Joás rei de Israel, e vieram-se de rosto ele e Amazias rei de Judá, em Bete-Semes, que é de Judá.
And Amasie assentide not `to be in pees; and Joas, kyng of Israel, stiede, and he and Amasie, kyng of Juda, sien hem silf in Bethsames, a citee of Juda.
12 E Judá caiu diante de Israel, e fugiram cada um a suas moradas.
And Juda was smytun bifor Israel; and thei fledden ech man in to his tabernaclis.
13 Além disso Joás rei de Israel tomou a Amazias rei de Judá, filho de Joás filho de Acazias, em Bete-Semes: e veio a Jerusalém, e rompeu o muro de Jerusalém desde a porta de Efraim até a porta da esquina, quatrocentos côvados.
Sotheli Joas, kyng of Israel, took in Bethsames Amasie, kyng of Juda, the sone of Joas, sone of Ocozie, and brouyte hym in to Jerusalem; and he brak the wal of Jerusalem, fro the yate of Effraym `til to the yate of the corner, bi foure hundrid cubitis.
14 E tomou todo o ouro e a prata, e todos os vasos que foram achados na casa do SENHOR, e nos tesouros da casa do rei, e os filhos em reféns, e voltou-se a Samaria.
And he took al the gold and siluer, and alle vessels, that weren foundun in the hows of the Lord, and in the tresours of the kyng; and he took ostagis, and turnede ayen in to Samarie.
15 Os demais dos feitos de Joás que executou, e suas façanhas, e como lutou contra Amasias rei de Judá, não estão escritos no livro das crônicas dos reis de Israel?
Sotheli the resydue of wordis of Joas, whiche he dide, and his strengthe, bi which he fauyt ayens Amasie, kyng of Juda, whether these ben not writun in the book of wordis of dayes of the kyngis of Israel?
16 E descansou Joás com seus pais, e foi sepultado em Samaria com os reis de Israel; e reinou em seu lugar Jeroboão seu filho.
And Joas slepte with hise fadris, and was biried in Samarie with the kyngis of Israel; and Jeroboam, his sone, regnede for hym.
17 E Amazias, filho de Joás, rei de Judá, viveu depois da morte de Joás filho de Jeoacaz rei de Israel, quinze anos.
Forsothe Amasie, sone of Joas, kyng of Juda, lyuede fyue and twenti yeer, after that Joas, sone of Joachaz, kyng of Israel, was deed.
18 Os demais dos feitos de Amazias não estão escritos no livro das crônicas dos reis de Judá?
Forsothe the residue of wordis of Amasie, whether these ben not writun in the book of wordis of daies of the kyngis of Juda?
19 E fizeram conspiração contra ele em Jerusalém, e ele fugiu a Laquis; mas enviaram atrás dele a Laquis, e ali o mataram.
And `sweryng togidir in Jerusalem was maad ayens hym, and he fledde in to Lachis; and thei senten aftir hym in to Lachis, and killiden hym there.
20 Trouxeram-no logo sobre cavalos, e sepultaram-no em Jerusalém com seus pais, na cidade de Davi.
And thei baren out hym in horsis, and he was biried in Jerusalem with hise fadris, in the citee of Dauid.
21 Então todo o povo de Judá tomou a Azarias, que era de dezesseis anos, e fizeram-no rei em lugar de Amasias seu pai.
Forsothe al the puple of Juda took Azarie, hauynge sixtene yeer; and maden hym king for his fadir Amasie.
22 Ele edificou Elate, e a restituiu a Judá, depois que o rei descansou com seus pais.
And he bildide Ahila, and restoride it to Juda, after that `the kyng slepte with hise fadris.
23 O ano quinze de Amazias filho de Joás rei de Judá, começou a reinar Jeroboão filho de Joás sobre Israel em Samaria; e reinou quarenta e um anos.
In the fiftenethe yeer of Amasie, sone of Joas, kyng of Juda, Jeroboam, sone of Joas, kyng of Israel, regnyde in Samarie oon and fourti yeer;
24 E fez o que era mau aos olhos do SENHOR, e não se separou de todos os pecados de Jeroboão filho de Nebate, o que fez pecar a Israel.
and dide that, that is yuel bifor the Lord; he yede not awei fro alle the synnes of Jeroboam, sone of Nabath, that made Israel to do synne.
25 Ele restituiu os termos de Israel desde a entrada de Hamate até o mar da planície, conforme à palavra do SENHOR Deus de Israel, a qual havia ele falado por seu servo Jonas filho de Amitai, profeta que foi de Gate-Hefer.
He restoride the termes of Israel, fro the entryng of Emath `til to the see of wildirnesse, bi the word of the Lord God of Israel, which he spak bi his seruaunt Jonas, sone of Amathi, bi Jonas, the prophete, that was of Jeth, `which Jeth is in Ophir.
26 Porquanto o SENHOR olhou a muito amarga aflição de Israel; que não havia escravo nem livre, nem quem desse ajuda a Israel;
For the Lord siy the ful bittir turment of Israel, and that thei weren wastid `til to the closid men of prisoun, and the laste men, and `noon was that helpide Israel.
27 E o SENHOR não havia determinado apagar o nome de Israel de debaixo do céu: portanto, os salvou por mão de Jeroboão filho de Joás.
And the Lord spak not, that he schulde do awei Israel fro vndur heuene, but he sauyde hem in the hond of Jeroboam, sone of Joas.
28 E o demais dos feitos de Jeroboão, e todas as coisas que fez, e sua valentia, e todas as guerras que fez, e como restituiu a Judá em Israel a Damasco e a Hamate, não está escrito no livro das crônicas dos reis de Israel?
Forsothe the residue of wordis of Jeroboam, and alle thingis whiche he dide, and the strengthe of hym, bi which he fauyt, and hou he restoride Damask, and Emath of Juda, in Israel, whether these ben not wrytun in the book of wordis of daies of the kyngis of Israel?
29 E descansou Jeroboão com seus pais, os reis de Israel, e reinou em seu lugar Zacarias seu filho.
And Jeroboam slepte with hise fadris, the kyngis of Israel; and Azarie, his sone, regnede for hym.
