1 Crônicas 11

1 Então todo o Israel se ajuntou a Davi em Hebrom, dizendo: Eis que nós somos teu osso e tua carne.

Then all Israel gathered themselves to David unto Hebron, saying, Behold, we are thy bone and thy flesh.

2 E mesmo antes, quando Saul ainda era rei, tu conduzias as tropas de Israel. Também o SENHOR teu Deus te disse: Tu apascentarás o meu povo Israel, e tu serás líder do meu povo Israel.

In times past, even when Saul was king, it was thou that leddest out and broughtest in Israel: and the LORD thy God said unto thee, Thou shalt feed my people Israel, and thou shalt be prince over my people Israel.

3 Também vieram todos os anciãos de Israel ao rei em Hebrom, e Davi fez aliança com eles diante do SENHOR; e ungiram a Davi como rei sobre Israel, conforme a palavra do SENHOR por meio de Samuel.

So all the elders of Israel came to the king to Hebron; and David made a covenant with them in Hebron before the LORD; and they anointed David king over Israel, according to the word of the LORD by the hand of Samuel.

4 Então Davi e todo Israel foram a Jerusalém, a qual era Jebus, pois ali os jebuseus eram os moradores daquela terra.

And David and all Israel went to Jerusalem (the same is Jebus); and the Jebusites, the inhabitants of the land, were there.

5 E os moradores de Jebus disseram a Davi: Tu não entrarás aqui. Porém Davi conquistou a fortaleza de Sião, que é a cidade de Davi.

And the inhabitants of Jebus said to David, Thou shalt not come in hither. Nevertheless David took the strong hold of Zion; the same is the city of David.

6 (Pois Davi havia dito: O primeiro a derrotar aos jebuseus será chefe e comandante. Então Joabe, filho de Zeruia, subiu primeiro, e foi feito comandante.)

And David said, Whosoever smiteth the Jebusites first shall be chief and captain. And Joab the son of Zeruiah went up first, and was made chief.

7 E Davi habitou na fortaleza; por isso que foi chamada de cidade de Davi.

And David dwelt in the strong hold; therefore they called it the city of David.

8 E ele edificou a cidade ao redor, desde as fundações do aterro ao redor; e Joabe reparou o resto da cidade.

And he built the city round about, from Millo even round about: and Joab repaired the rest of the city.

9 E Davi ia cada vez mais crescendo em poder, pois o SENHOR dos exércitos era com ele.

And David waxed greater and greater; for the LORD of hosts was with him.

10 Estes foram os líderes dos guerreiros que Davi teve, os que lhe deram forte apoio em seu reinado, com todo Israel, para o fazerem rei sobre Israel, conforme a palavra do SENHOR.

Now these are the chief of the mighty men whom David had, who shewed themselves strong with him in his kingdom, together with all Israel, to make him king, according to the word of the LORD concerning Israel.

11 E este é o número dos guerreiros que Davi teve: Jasobeão, filho de Hacmoni, chefe de capitães, o qual, fazendo uso de sua lança, matou trezentos de um vez.

And this is the number of the mighty men whom David had: Jashobeam, the son of a Hachmonite, the chief of the thirty; he lifted up his spear against three hundred and slew them at one time.

12 E depois dele Eleazar, filho de Dodô, o aoíta; ele era um dos três principais guerreiros.

And after him was Eleazar the son of Dodo, the Ahohite, who was one of the three mighty men.

13 Este esteve com Davi em Pas-Damim, quando os filisteus se ajuntaram para a batalha; e havia ali uma plantação cheia de cevada. Enquanto o povo fugia dos filisteus,

He was with David at Pasdammim, and there the Philistines were gathered together to battle, where was a plot of ground full of barley; and the people fled from before the Philistines.

14 Eles se puseram no meio da plantação, defenderam-na, e derrotaram os Filisteus; e o SENHOR lhes deu uma grande vitória.

And they stood in the midst of the plot, and defended it, and slew the Philistines; and the LORD saved them by a great victory.

15 E três dos trinta comandantes desceram a Davi, na rocha junto à caverna de Adulão, enquanto o acampamento dos filisteus estava no vale de Refaim.

And three of the thirty chief went down to the rock to David, into the cave of Adullam; and the host of the Philistines were encamped in the valley of Rephaim.

16 E Davi estava então na fortaleza, enquanto havia uma tropa de filisteus em Belém.

And David was then in the hold, and the garrison of the Philistines was then in Beth-lehem.

17 Davi teve um desejo, e disse: Quem me dera beber da água do poço de Belém, que está junto à porta!

And David longed, and said, Oh that one would give me water to drink of the well of Beth-lehem, which is by the gate!

18 E aqueles três irromperam pelo acampamento dos filisteus, e tiraram água do poço de Belém, que está junto à porta, tomaram dela, e a trouxeram a Davi. Davi, porém não a quis beber; em vez disso, derramou-a ao SENHOR,

And the three brake through the host of the Philistines, and drew water out of the well of Beth-lehem, that was by the gate, and took it, and brought it to David: but David would not drink thereof, but poured it out unto the LORD,

19 E disse: Deus me proíba de fazer isto! Beberia eu o sangue destes homens com suas vidas? Pois eles arriscaram suas vidas para a trazerem. Por isso ele não a quis beber. Isto fizeram aqueles três guerreiros.

and said, My God forbid it me, that I should do this: shall I drink the blood of these men that have put their lives in jeopardy? for with [the jeopardy of] their lives they brought it. Therefore he would not drink it. These things did the three mighty men.

20 E também Abisai, irmão de Joabe, foi o cabeça de três, o qual usando sua lança sobre trezentos, ele os matou; e foi famoso entre os três.

And Abishai, the brother of Joab, he was chief of the three: for he lifted up his spear against three hundred and slew them, and had a name among the three.

21 Dos três ele foi mais ilustre que os outros dois, por isso foi seu cabeça; porém não alcançou os três [primeiros].

Of the three, he was more honourable than the two and was made their captain: howbeit he attained not to the [first] three.

22 [Também] Benaia, filho de Joiada, filho de homem valente, de grandes feitos, de Cabzeel; ele matou dois dos poderosos guerreiros de Moabe; ele também desceu, e matou um leão dentro de uma cova no tempo da neve.

Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, the son of a valiant man of Kabzeel, who had done mighty deeds, he slew the two [sons of] Ariel of Moab: he went down also and slew a lion in the midst of a pit in time of snow.

23 Ele também matou um homem egípcio alto, de cinco côvados; o egípcio trazia na mão uma lança como um lançador de tecelão; porém [Benaia] desceu a ele com um bastão; e arrancou a lança da mão do egípcio, e o matou com sua própria lança.

And he slew an Egyptian, a man of great stature, five cubits high; and in the Egyptian’s hand was a spear like a weaver’s beam; and he went down to him with a staff, and plucked the spear out of the Egyptian’s hand, and slew him with his own spear.

24 Estas coisas fez Benaia, filho de Joiada, e por isso foi famoso entre aqueles três guerreiros.

These things did Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and had a name among the three mighty men.

25 Eis que ele foi o mais ilustre dos trinta, mas não alcançou os três [primeiros]. E Davi o pôs sobre sua guarda pessoal.

Behold, he was more honourable than the thirty, but he attained not to the [first] three: and David set him over his guard.

26 E os guerreiros dos exército foram: Asael, irmão de Joabe; Elanã filho de Dodô de Belém;

Also the mighty men of the armies; Asahel the brother of Joab, Elhanan the son of Dodo of Beth-lehem;

27 Samote o harodita; Helez o pelonita;

Shammoth the Harorite, Helez the Pelonite;

28 Ira, filho de Iques, o tecoíta; Abiezer o anatotita;

Ira the son of Ikkesh the Tekoite, Abiezer the Anathothite;

29 Sibecai o husatita; Ilai o aoíta;

Sibbecai the Hushathite, Ilai the Ahohite;

30 Maarai o netofatita; Helede, filho de Baaná, o netofatita;

Maharai the Netophathite, Heled the son of Baanah the Netophathite;

31 Itai, filho de Ribai, de Gibeá dos filhos de Benjamim; Benaia o piratonita;

Ithai the son of Ribai of Gibeah of the children of Benjamin, Benaiah the Pirathonite;

32 Hurai do ribeiro de Gaás; Abiel, o arbatita;

Hurai of the brooks of Gaash, Abiel the Arbathite;

33 Azmavete, o baarumita; Eliaba, o saalbonita;

Azmaveth the Baharumite, Eliahba the Shaalbonite;

34 Os filhos de Hasém, o gizonita; Jônatas, filho de Sage, o hararita;

the sons of Hashem the Gizonite, Jonathan the son of Shage the Hararite;

35 Aião filho de Sacar, o hararita; Elifal filho de Ur;

Ahiam the son of Sacar the Hararite, Eliphal the son of Ur;

36 Héfer, o mequeratita; Aías, o pelonita;

Hepher the Mecherathite, Ahijah the Pelonite;

37 Hezro, o carmelita; Naarai, filho de Ezbai;

Hezro the Carmelite, Naarai the son of Ezbai;

38 Joel, irmão de Natã; Mibar, filho de Hagri;

Joel the brother of Nathan, Mibhar the son of Hagri;

39 Zeleque, o amonita; Naarai, o berotita, escudeiro de Joabe filho de Zeruia;

Zelek the Ammonite, Naharai the Berothite, the armourbearer of Joab the son of Zeruiah;

40 Ira, o itrita; Garebe, o itrita;

Ira the Ithrite, Gareb the Ithrite;

41 Urias, o heteu; Zabade, filho de Alai;

Uriah the Hittite, Zabad the son of Ahlai;

42 Adina, filho de Siza, o rubenita, [o qual era] chefe dos rubenitas, e com ele trinta;

Adina the son of Shiza the Reubenite, a chief of the Reubenites, and thirty with him;

43 Hanã, filho de Maaca; Josafá o mitenita;

Hanan the son of Maacah, and Joshaphat the Mithnite;

44 Uzia, o asteratia; Sama e Jeiel, filhos de Hotão, o aroerita;

Uzzia the Ashterathite, Shama and Jeiel the sons of Hotham the Aroerite;

45 Jedaiel, filho de Sinri, e seu irmão Joá, o tizita;

Jediael the son of Shimri, and Joha his brother, the Tizite;

46 Eliel, o maavita; Jeribai e Josavias, filhos de Elnaão; Itma, o moabita;

Eliel the Mahavite, and Jeribai, and Joshaviah, the sons of Elnaam, and Ithmah the Moabite;

47 Eliel; Obede; e Jaasiel, o mezobaíta.

Eliel, and Obed, and Jaasiel the Mezobaite.
