Apocalipse 12
1 E viu-se um grande sinal no céu: uma mulher vestida de sol, e a lua debaixo dos seus pés, e uma coroa de doze estrelas sobre a sua cabeça.
A great sign was seen in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars.
2 E estava grávida, e com dores de parto, e gritava com ancias de dar à luz.
She was with child. She screamed out in pain, laboring to give birth.
3 E viu-se outro sinal no céu; e eis que era um grande dragão vermelho, que tinha sete cabeças e dez cornos, e sobre as suas cabeças sete diademas.
Another sign was seen in heaven. Look, a great fiery red serpent, having seven heads and ten horns, and on his heads seven crowns.
4 E a sua cauda levava após si a terça parte das estrelas do céu, e lançou-as sobre a terra; e o dragão parou diante da mulher que havia de dar à luz, para que, dando ela à luz, lhe tragasse o filho.
His tail drew one third of the stars of the sky, and threw them to the earth. The serpent stood before the woman who was about to give birth, so that when she gave birth he might devour her child.
5 E deu à luz um filho, um varão que havia de reger todas as nações com vara de ferro; e o seu filho foi arrebatado para Deus e para o seu trono.
She gave birth to a son, a male child, who is to rule all the nations with an iron scepter. Her child was caught up to God, and to his throne.
6 E a mulher fugiu para o deserto, onde já tinha lugar preparado por Deus, para que lá a mantivessem mil duzentos e sessenta dias.
The woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by God, that there they may nourish her one thousand two hundred sixty days.
7 E houve batalha no céu: Miguel e os seus anjos batalhavam contra o dragão, e batalhava o dragão e os seus anjos;
There was war in the sky. Michael and his angels made war on the serpent. The serpent and his angels made war.
8 Mas não prevaleceram, nem mais o seu lugar se achou nos céus.
They did not prevail, neither was a place found for them any more in heaven.
9 E foi lançado o grande dragão, a antiga serpente, chamada o Diabo, e Satanás, que engana todo o mundo; ele foi lançado na terra, e os seus anjos foram lançados com ele
The great serpent was thrown down, the ancient serpent, he who is called the devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world. He was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him.
10 E ouvi uma grande voz no céu, que dizia: Agora chegada está a salvação, e a força, e o reino do nosso Deus, e o poder do seu Cristo; porque já o acusador de nossos irmãos é derribado, o qual diante do nosso Deus os acusava de dia e de noite.
I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, "Now is come the salvation, the power, and the Kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Christ; for the accuser of our brothers has been thrown down, who accuses them before our God day and night.
11 E eles o venceram pelo sangue do Cordeiro e pela palavra do seu testemunho; e não amaram as suas vidas até à morte.
They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony. They did not love their life, even to death.
12 Pelo que alegrai-vos, ó céus, e os que neles habitais. Ai dos que habitam na terra e no mar; porque o diabo desceu a vós, e tem grande ira, sabendo que já tem pouco tempo.
Therefore rejoice, heavens, and you who dwell in them. Woe to the land and the sea, because the devil has gone down to you, having great wrath, knowing that he has but a short time."
13 E, quando o dragão viu que fôra lançado na terra, perseguiu a mulher que dera à luz o varão.
When the serpent saw that he was thrown down to the earth, he persecuted the woman who gave birth to the male child.
14 E foram dadas à mulher duas asas de grande águia, para que voasse ao deserto, ao seu lugar, onde é sustentada por tempo, e tempos, e metade de tempo, fora da vista da serpente.
Two wings of the great eagle were given to the woman, that she might fly into the wilderness to her place, so that she might be nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.
15 E a serpente lançou da sua boca, atráz da mulher, água como um rio, para que pelo rio a fizesse arrebatar.
The serpent spewed water out of his mouth after the woman like a river, that he might cause her to be carried away by the stream.
16 E a terra ajudou a mulher; e a terra abriu a sua boca, e tragou o rio que o dragão lançara da sua boca.
The earth helped the woman, and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed up the river which the serpent spewed out of his mouth.
17 E o dragão irou-se contra a mulher, e foi fazer guerra contra os demais da sua semente, que guardam os mandamentos de Deus, e tem o testemunho de Jesus Cristo.
The serpent grew angry with the woman, and went away to make war with the rest of her offspring, who keep God's commandments and hold to the testimony of Jesus.
