Gênesis 14

1 E aconteceu nos dias de Amraphel, rei de Shinar, Arioch, rei de Ellasar, Chedorlaomer, rei de Elam, e Tidal, rei de Goiim,

And it came to pass, in the days of Amraphel, king of Shinar, Arioch, king of Ellasar, —Chedorlaomer king of Elam, and Tidal king of Goim,

2 Que estes fizeram guerra a Bera, rei de Sodoma, a Birsha, rei de Gomorra, a Shinab, rei de Admah, e a Shemeber, rei de Zeboiim, e ao rei de Bela (esta é Zoar).

that they made war, with Bera, king of Sodom, and with Birsha, king of Gomorrah, —Shinab, king of Admah, and Shemeber, king of Zeboim, and the king of Bela—the same, is Zoar.

3 Todos estes se ajuntaram no vale de Siddim (que é o mar de sal).

All these, joined together in the valley of the open fields, the same, is the Salt Sea.

4 Doze anos haviam servido a Chedorlaomer, mas ao décimo terceiro ano rebelaram-se.

Twelve years, had they served Chedorlaomer, —but in the thirteenth year had they rebelled;

5 E ao décimo quarto ano veio Chedorlaomer, e os reis que estavam com ele, e feriram aos Rephains em Ashteroth-Karnaim, e aos Zuzins em Ham, e aos Emins em Shave-kiriathaim,

and in the fourteenth year, had Chedorlaomer come in and the kings who were with him, so they smote the Rephaim in Ashteroth-karnaim, and the Zuzim in Ham, —and the Emim, in Shaveh-kiriathaim;

6 E aos horeus no seu monte Seir, até à campina de Paran, que está junto ao deserto.

and the Horites in their Mount Seir, —as far as El-paran, which is by the desert.

7 Lepois tornaram e vieram a Enmispat (que é Cades), e feriram toda a terra dos amalequitas, e também os amoreus, que habitavam em Hazazon-tamar.

So they returned and came in unto En-mishpat, the same, is Kadish, and smote all the field of the Amalekites, —and the Amorites also that dwelt in Hazazon-tamar,

8 Então saiu o rei de Sodoma, e o rei de Gomorra, e o rei de Admah, e o rei de Zeboiim, e o rei de Bela (esta é Zoar), e ordenaram batalha contra eles no vale de Siddim,

Thus then went forth the King of Sodom and the king of Gomorrah, and the king of Admah and the king of Zeboim, and the king of Bela the same, is Zoar—and set themselves in array against them for battle, in the valley of the open fields:

9 Contra Chedorlaomer, rei de Elam, e Tidal, rei de Goiim, e Amraphel, rei de Shinar, e Arioch, rei de Ellasar; quatro reis contra cinco.

against Chedorlaomer king of Elam, and Tidal king of Goim, and Amraphel king of Shinar, and Arioch king of Ellasar, —four kings against five.

10 E o vale de Siddim estava cheio de poços de betume: e fugiram os reis de Sodoma, e de Gomorra, e cairam ali; e os restantes fugiram para um monte.

Now, the valley of the open fields, had many pits of bitumen, so the king of Sodom and Gomorrah fled, and fell there, —while, they who remained, towards a mountain, fled.

11 E tomaram toda a fazenda de Sodoma, e de Gomorra, e todo o seu mantimento, e foram-se.

And they took all the goods of Sodom and Gomorrah and all their food and went their way.

12 Também tomaram a Lot, que habitava em Sodoma, filho do irmão de Abrão, e a sua fazenda, e foram-se.

And they took Lot, Abram’s brother’s son with his goods, and went their way, —he, being a dweller in Sodom.

13 Então veio um que escapara, e o contou a Abrão, o Hebreu: ele habitava junto dos carvalhais de Mamre, o amoreu, irmão de Eshcol, e irmão de Aner; eles eram confederados de Abrão.

Then came in a fugitive, and told Abram the Hebrew, —he, having his dwelling among the oaks of Mamre the Amorite brother of Eshcol and brother of Aner, they, also having a covenant with Abram.

14 Ouvindo pois Abrão que o seu irmão estava preso, armou os seus criados, nascidos em sua casa, trezentos e dezoito, e os perseguiu até Dan.

So Abram, hearing that his brother had been taken captive, drew forth his trained men born in his house three hundred and eighteen, and pursued as far as Dan.

15 E dividiu-se contra eles de noite, ele e os seus criados, e os feriu, e os perseguiu até Hobah, que fica à esquerda de Damasco.

And he divided himself against them by night, he, and his servants, and smote them, —and pursued them as far as Hobah, which was on the left of Damascus.

16 E tornou a trazer toda a fazenda, e tornou a trazer também a Lot, seu irmão, e a sua fazenda, e também as mulheres, e o povo.

So he brought back all the goods, —yea Lot also his brother with his goods, did he bring back, and the women also, and the people.

17 E o rei de Sodoma saiu-lhe ao encontro (depois que voltou de ferir a Chedorlaomer e aos reis que estavam com ele) até ao vale de Schave, que é o vale do rei.

Then came forth the king of Sodom to meet him, after his return from the smiting of Chedorlaomer, and the kings who were with him, —into the vale of Shaveh the same, was the vale of the king.

18 E Melchizedec, rei de Salém, trouxe pão e vinho: e era este sacerdote do Deus altíssimo.

Now Melchizedek king of Salem, had brought forth bread and wine, —he, being priest of GOD Most High.

19 E abençoou-o, e disse: bendito seja Abrão de Deus altíssimo, o Possuidor dos céus e da terra;

So he blessed him and said, —Blessed be Abram of GOD Most High, possessor of [the] heavens and earth;

20 E bendito seja o Deus altíssimo, que entregou os teus inimigos nas tuas mãos. E deu-lhe o dízimo de tudo.

And blessed be GOD Most High, who hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand. So he gave unto him a tenth of all.

21 E o rei de Sodoma disse a Abrão: Dá-me a mim as almas, e a fazenda toma para ti.

Then said the king of Sodom unto Abram, —Give unto me the persons, but the goods, take thou for thyself.

22 Abrão, porém, disse ao rei de Sodoma: Levantei minha mão ao Senhor, o Deus altíssimo, o Possuidor dos céus e da terra,

And Abram said unto the king of Sodom, —I have lifted up my hand unto Yahweh GOD Most High, possessor of [the] heavens and earth:

23 Que desde um fio até à correia de um sapato, não tomarei coisa alguma de tudo o que é teu: para que não digas: Eu enriqueci a Abrão;

That not from a thread even unto a sandal-thong, —will I take, anything, that is thine, —Lest thou shouldst say, I, enriched Abram!

24 Salvo tão somente o que os mancebos comeram, e a parte que toca aos varões que comigo foram, Aner, Escol, e Mamre; estes que tomem a sua parte.

Save only what the young men have eaten, and the share of the men who went with me, Aner, Eshcol, and Mamre, they may take their share.
