Salmos 16
1 Guarda-me, ó Deus, porque em ti confio.
Michtam of David. Keep me, O God; for I have taken refuge in Thee.
2 A minha alma disse ao Senhor: Tu és o meu Senhor, a minha bondade não chega á tua presença,
I have said unto the LORD: 'Thou art my Lord; I have no good but in Thee';
3 Mas aos sanctos que estão na terra, e aos illustres em quem está todo o meu prazer.
As for the holy that are in the earth, they are the excellent in whom is all my delight.
4 As dôres se multiplicarão áquelles que fazem offerendas a outro deus; eu não offerecerei as suas libações de sangue, nem tomarei os seus nomes nos meus labios.
Let the idols of them be multiplied that make suit unto another; their drink-offerings of blood will I not offer, nor take their names upon my lips.
5 O Senhor é a porção da minha herança e do meu calix: tu sustentas a minha sorte.
O LORD, the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup, Thou maintainest my lot.
6 As linhas caem-me em logares deliciosos: sim, coube-me uma formosa herança.
The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage.
7 Louvarei ao Senhor que me aconselhou: até os meus rins me ensinam de noite.
I will bless the LORD, who hath given me counsel; yea, in the night seasons my reins instruct me.
8 Tenho posto o Senhor continuamente diante de mim: por isso que elle está á minha mão direita, nunca vacillarei.
I have set the LORD always before me; surely He is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.
9 Portanto está alegre o meu coração e se regozija a minha gloria: tambem a minha carne repousará segura.
Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth; my flesh also dwelleth in safety;
10 Pois não deixarás a minha alma no inferno, nem permittirás que o teu Sancto veja corrupção. (Sheol h7585)
For Thou wilt not abandon my soul to the nether-world; neither wilt Thou suffer Thy godly one to see the pit. (Sheol h7585)
11 Far-me-has ver a vereda da vida; na tua presença ha fartura de alegrias; á tua mão direita ha delicias perpetuamente.
Thou makest me to know the path of life; in Thy presence is fulness of joy, in Thy right hand bliss for evermore.
