Salmos 135

1 Louvae ao Senhor. Louvae o nome do Senhor; louvae-o, servos do Senhor.

Praise ye Yah, Praise ye the Name of Yahweh, Praise, O ye servants of Yahweh;

2 Vós que assistis na casa do Senhor, nos atrios da casa do nosso Deus.

Who stand In the house of Yahweh, In the courts of the house of our God.

3 Louvae ao Senhor, porque o Senhor é bom: cantae louvores ao seu nome, porque é agradavel.

Praise ye Yah, For good is Yahweh, Sing praises to his Name, For it is full of delight;

4 Porque o Senhor escolheu para si a Jacob, e a Israel para seu proprio thesouro.

For, Jacob, hath Yah chosen for himself, Israel, for his own treasure.

5 Porque eu conheço que o Senhor é grande e que o nosso Deus está acima de todos os deuses.

For, I, know that great is Yahweh, yea, our Lord, is beyond all gods.

6 Tudo o que o Senhor quiz fez, nos céus e na terra, nos mares e em todos os abysmos.

Whatsoever Yahweh hath pleased, he hath done, —in the heavens and on the earth, in the seas, and all resounding deeps:

7 Faz subir os vapores das extremidades da terra; faz os relampagos para a chuva; produz os ventos dos seus thesouros.

Causing vapours to ascend from the end of the earth, —Lightnings for the rain, hath he made, bringing forth wind out of his treasuries.

8 O que feriu os primogenitos do Egypto, desde os homens até ás bestas.

Who smote the firstborn of Egypt, both of man, and of beast;

9 O que enviou signaes e prodigios no meio de ti, ó Egypto, contra Pharaó e contra os seus servos.

Sent signs and wonders into thy midst, O Egypt, upon Pharaoh, and upon all his servants.

10 O que feriu muitas nações, e matou poderosos reis;

Who smote great nations, and slew mighty kings:

11 A Sehon, rei dos amorrheos, e a Og, rei de Basan, e a todos os reinos de Canaan.

Sihon, king of the Amorites, and Og, king of Bashan, and all the kingdoms of Canaan;

12 E deu a sua terra em herança, em herança a Israel, seu povo.

And gave their land as an inheritance, an inheritance to Israel his people.

13 O teu nome, ó Senhor, dura perpetuamente; e a tua memoria, ó Senhor, de geração em geração.

O Yahweh! thy Name, is age-abiding, —O Yahweh! thy memorial, is to generation after generation.

14 Pois o Senhor julgará o seu povo, e se arrependerá com respeito aos seus servos.

For Yahweh will vindicate his people, —and, on his servants, have compassion.

15 Os idolos das nações são prata e oiro, obra das mãos dos homens.

The idols of the nations, are silver and gold, the work of the hands of men:

16 Teem bocca, mas não fallam; teem olhos, e não vêem.

A mouth, have they, but they speak not, Eyes, have they, but they see not;

17 Teem ouvidos, mas não ouvem, nem ha respiro algum nas suas boccas.

Ears, have they, but they hear not, Nose, —there is no breath in their mouth.

18 Similhantes a elles se tornem os que os fazem, e todos os que confiam n'elles.

Like unto them, shall be they who make them, every one who trusteth in them.

19 Casa d'Israel, bemdizei ao Senhor; casa d'Aarão bemdizei ao Senhor.

O house of Israel! bless Yahweh, O house of Aaron! bless Yahweh;

20 Casa de Levi, bemdizei ao Senhor: vós, os que temeis ao Senhor, louvae ao Senhor.

O house of Levi! bless Yahweh, Ye that revere Yahweh! bless Yahweh.

21 Bemdito seja o Senhor desde Sião, que habita em Jerusalem. Louvae ao Senhor.

Blessed be Yahweh out of Zion, Who inhabiteth Jerusalem, Praise ye Yah!
