Levítico 17

1 Fallou mais o Senhor a Moysés, dizendo:

The LORD spoke to Moses, saying,

2 Falla a Aarão e aos seus filhos, e a todos os filhos d'Israel, e dize-lhes: Esta é a palavra que o Senhor ordenou, dizendo:

“Speak to Aaron, and to his sons, and to all the children of Israel, and say to them, ‘This is the thing which the LORD has commanded:

3 Qualquer homem da casa de Israel que degolar boi, ou cordeiro, ou cabra, no arraial, ou quem os degolar fóra do arraial,

Whatever man there is of the house of Israel who kills a bull, or lamb, or goat in the camp, or who kills it outside the camp,

4 E os não trouxer á porta da tenda da congregação, para offerecer offerta ao Senhor diante do tabernaculo do Senhor, a tal homem será imputado o sangue; derramou sangue: pelo que tal homem será extirpado do seu povo,

and hasn’t brought it to the door of the Tent of Meeting to offer it as an offering to the LORD before the LORD’s tabernacle: blood shall be imputed to that man. He has shed blood. That man shall be cut off from among his people.

5 Para que os filhos de Israel, trazendo os seus sacrificios, que sacrificam sobre a face do campo, os tragam ao Senhor, á porta da tenda da congregação, ao sacerdote, e os sacrifiquem por sacrificios pacificos ao Senhor.

This is to the end that the children of Israel may bring their sacrifices, which they sacrifice in the open field, that they may bring them to the LORD, to the door of the Tent of Meeting, to the priest, and sacrifice them for sacrifices of peace offerings to the LORD.

6 E o sacerdote espargirá o sangue sobre o altar do Senhor, á porta da tenda da congregação, e queimará a gordura por cheiro suave ao Senhor.

The priest shall sprinkle the blood on the LORD’s altar at the door of the Tent of Meeting, and burn the fat for a pleasant aroma to the LORD.

7 E nunca mais sacrificarão os seus sacrificios aos demonios, após os quaes elles fornicam: isto ser-lhes-ha por estatuto perpetuo nas suas gerações.

They shall no more sacrifice their sacrifices to the goat idols, after which they play the prostitute. This shall be a statute forever to them throughout their generations.’

8 Dize-lhes pois: Qualquer homem da casa de Israel, ou dos estrangeiros que peregrinam entre vós, que offerecer holocausto ou sacrificio,

“You shall say to them, ‘Any man there is of the house of Israel, or of the strangers who live as foreigners among them, who offers a burnt offering or sacrifice,

9 E não trouxer á porta da tenda da congregação, para offerecel-o ao Senhor, o tal homem será extirpado dos seus povos.

and doesn’t bring it to the door of the Tent of Meeting to sacrifice it to the LORD, that man shall be cut off from his people.

10 E, qualquer homem da casa de Israel, ou dos estrangeiros que peregrinam entre elles, que comer algum sangue, contra aquella alma que comer sangue, eu porei a minha face, e a extirparei do seu povo.

“‘Any man of the house of Israel, or of the strangers who live as foreigners among them, who eats any kind of blood, I will set my face against that soul who eats blood, and will cut him off from among his people.

11 Porque a alma da carne está no sangue; pelo que vol o tenho dado sobre o altar, para fazer expiação pelas vossas almas: porquanto é o sangue que fará expiação pela alma.

For the life of the flesh is in the blood. I have given it to you on the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood that makes atonement by reason of the life.

12 Portanto tenho dito aos filhos de Israel: Nenhuma alma de entre vós comerá sangue, nem o estrangeiro, que peregrine entre vós, comerá sangue.

Therefore I have said to the children of Israel, “No person among you may eat blood, nor may any stranger who lives as a foreigner among you eat blood.”

13 Tambem, qualquer homem dos filhos de Israel, ou dos estrangeiros que peregrinam entre elles, que caçar caça d'animal ou d'ave que se come, derramará o seu sangue, e o cobrirá com pó;

“‘Whatever man there is of the children of Israel, or of the strangers who live as foreigners among them, who takes in hunting any animal or bird that may be eaten, he shall pour out its blood, and cover it with dust.

14 Porquanto é a alma de toda a carne; o seu sangue é pela sua alma: por isso tenho dito aos filhos de Israel: Não comereis o sangue de nenhuma carne, porque a alma de toda a carne é o seu sangue; qualquer que o comer será extirpado.

For as to the life of all flesh, its blood is with its life. Therefore I said to the children of Israel, “You shall not eat the blood of any kind of flesh; for the life of all flesh is its blood. Whoever eats it shall be cut off.”

15 E toda a alma entre os naturaes, ou entre os estrangeiros, que comer corpo morto ou dilacerado, lavará os seus vestidos, e se banhará com agua, e será immunda até á tarde; depois será limpa

“‘Every person that eats what dies of itself, or that which is torn by animals, whether he is native-born or a foreigner, shall wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the evening. Then he shall be clean.

16 Mas, se os não lavar, nem banhar a sua carne, levará sobre si a sua iniquidade.

But if he doesn’t wash them, or bathe his flesh, then he shall bear his iniquity.’”
