1 Gdy Izrael wychodził z Egiptu, dom Jakuba spośród ludu obcego języka;

Quand Israël sortit d’Égypte, Quand la maison de Jacob s’éloigna d’un peuple barbare,

2 Juda stał się jego świątynią, Izrael jego panowaniem.

Juda devint son sanctuaire, Israël fut son domaine.

3 Morze to ujrzało i uciekło, Jordan wstecz się odwrócił.

La mer le vit et s’enfuit, Le Jourdain retourna en arrière;

4 Góry skakały jak barany, pagórki jak jagnięta.

Les montagnes sautèrent comme des béliers, Les collines comme des agneaux.

5 Morze, cóż ci [się stało], żeś uciekło, a tobie, Jordanie, że wstecz się odwróciłeś?

Qu’as-tu, mer, pour t’enfuir, Jourdain, pour retourner en arrière?

6 Góry, [że] skakałyście jak barany, a wy, pagórki, jak jagnięta?

Qu’avez-vous, montagnes, pour sauter comme des béliers, Et vous, collines, comme des agneaux?

7 Zadrżyj, ziemio, przed obliczem Pana, przed obliczem Boga Jakuba;

Tremble devant le Seigneur, ô terre! Devant le Dieu de Jacob,
