1 Wtedy Bildad z Szuach odpowiedział:

Then Baldad the Suhite answered, and I said:

2 Przy nim jest panowanie i strach, [on] czyni pokój na swoich wysokościach.

Power and terror are with him, who maketh peace in his high places.

3 Czy można zliczyć jego wojska? A nad kim nie wschodzi jego światło?

Is there any numbering of his soldiers? and upon whom shall not his light arise?

4 Jak więc może człowiek być usprawiedliwiony przed Bogiem? Albo jak może być czysty ten, kto się urodził z kobiety?

Can man be justified compared with God, or he that is born of a woman appear clean?

5 Oto nawet księżyc nie świeci i gwiazdy nie są czyste w jego oczach;

Behold even the moon doth not shine, and the stars are not pure in his sight.

6 Tym bardziej człowiek, [który jest] robakiem, i syn człowieczy, [który jest] czerwiem.

How much less man that is rottenness and the son of man who is a worm?
