Izajasza 51
1 Słuchajcie mnie, wy, którzy podążacie za sprawiedliwością, którzy szukacie PANA. Spójrzcie na skałę, z której was wyciosano i na głębokość dołu, skąd was wykopano.
"Listen to me, you who follow after righteousness, you who seek the LORD: look to the rock you were cut from, and to the hold of the pit you were dug from.
2 Spójrzcie na Abrahama, waszego ojca, i na Sarę, która was porodziła, gdyż jego jednego wezwałem, pobłogosławiłem i rozmnożyłem.
Look to Abraham your father, and to Sarah who bore you; for when he was but one I called him, and I blessed him, and made him many.
3 PAN bowiem pocieszy Syjon, pocieszy wszystkie jego ruiny i uczyni jego pustkowia jak Eden, a jego pustynię jak ogród PANA. Znajdzie się w nim radość i wesele, dziękczynienie i głos śpiewania.
For the LORD has comforted Zion; he has comforted all her waste places, and has made her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of the LORD; joy and gladness shall be found in it, thanksgiving, and the voice of melody.

Lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look on the earth beneath; for the heavens shall vanish away like smoke, and the earth shall wax old like a garment; and those who dwell in it shall die in the same way: but my salvation shall be forever, and my righteousness shall not be abolished.

"Listen to me, you who know righteousness, the people in whose heart is my law; do not fear the reproach of men, neither be dismayed at their insults.

Isn't it you who dried up the sea, the waters of the great deep; who made the depths of the sea a way for the redeemed to pass over?
11 Powrócą więc odkupieni przez PANA i przyjdą do Syjonu ze śpiewaniem, a wieczna radość będzie nad ich głową. Dostąpią wesela i radości i ucieknie smutek i wzdychanie.
The ransomed of the LORD shall return, and come with singing to Zion; and everlasting joy shall be on their heads. They shall obtain gladness and joy. Sorrow and sighing shall flee away.

These two things have happened to you. Who will grieve for you? Desolation and destruction, and the famine and the sword. Who will console you?
20 Twoi synowie leżeli omdlali na rogach wszystkich ulic, jak dziki wół w sieci. Są pełni gniewu PANA, upomnienia twego Boga.
Your sons have fainted, they lie at the head of all the streets, as an antelope in a net; they are full of the wrath of the LORD, the rebuke of your God.
21 Dlatego teraz słuchaj tego, utrapiona i pijana, lecz nie winem:
Therefore hear now this, you afflicted, and drunk, but not with wine:
22 Tak mówi twój PAN i twój Bóg, który wstawia się za swoim ludem: Oto zabieram z twojej ręki kubek odurzenia, męty kubka swojej wściekłości. Nie będziesz już pić z niego;
Thus says your Lord, the LORD, your God who pleads the cause of his people, "Look, I have taken out of your hand the cup of staggering, even the bowl of the cup of my wrath; you shall no more drink it again:

and I will put it into the hand of those who afflict you, who have said to your soul, 'Bow down, that we may walk over you;' and you have laid your back as the ground, and as the street, to those who walk over."
