1 Potem Mojżesz poszedł i powiedział te słowa całemu Izraelowi.

And Moses went and spake these words unto all Israel.

2 Powiedział do nich: Mam dziś sto dwadzieścia lat, nie mogę już wychodzić i wchodzić. A PAN powiedział mi też: Nie przejdziesz przez Jordan.

And he said unto them, I am an hundred and twenty years old this day; I can no more go out and come in: and the LORD hath said unto me, Thou shalt not go over this Jordan.

3 Sam PAN, twój Bóg, przejdzie przed tobą i on wytępi te narody przed tobą, a ty je posiądziesz. A Jozue przejdzie przed tobą, jak PAN powiedział.

The LORD thy God, he will go over before thee; he will destroy these nations from before thee, and thou shalt possess them: [and] Joshua, he shall go over before thee, as the LORD hath spoken.

4 I PAN uczyni im tak, jak uczynił Sichonowi i Ogowi, królom Amorytów, i ich ziemi, gdy ich zniszczył.

And the LORD shall do unto them as he did to Sihon and to Og, the kings of the Amorites, and unto their land; whom he destroyed.

5 PAN wyda ich wam, a wy uczynicie im zgodnie ze wszystkimi przykazaniami, które wam nakazałem.

And the LORD shall deliver them up before you, and ye shall do unto them according unto all the commandment which I have commanded you.

6 Wzmocnijcie się i bądźcie mężni, nie bójcie się ani się nie lękajcie ich, gdyż PAN, twój Bóg, on sam pójdzie z tobą, nie porzuci cię ani cię nie opuści.

Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be affrighted at them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.

7 Następnie Mojżesz przywołał Jozuego i powiedział do niego przed całym Izraelem: Wzmocnij się i bądź mężny, bo ty wejdziesz z tym ludem do ziemi, którą PAN poprzysiągł dać ich ojcom, a ty im ją dasz w dziedzictwo.

And Moses called unto Joshua, and said unto him in the sight of all Israel, Be strong and of a good courage: for thou shalt go with this people into the land which the LORD hath sworn unto their fathers to give them; and thou shalt cause them to inherit it.

8 A sam PAN pójdzie przed tobą, on będzie z tobą, nie porzuci cię ani cię nie opuści. Nie bój się ani się nie lękaj.

And the LORD, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.

9 Wtedy Mojżesz zapisał to prawo i oddał je kapłanom, synom Lewiego, którzy nosili arkę przymierza PANA, i wszystkim starszym Izraela.

And Moses wrote this law, and delivered it unto the priests the sons of Levi, which bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and unto all the elders of Israel.

10 Mojżesz nakazał im też: Po upływie [każdego] siódmego roku, w wyznaczonej porze roku darowania [długów], w Święto Namiotów;

And Moses commanded them, saying, At the end of [every] seven years, in the set time of the year of release, in the feast of tabernacles,

11 Gdy cały Izrael przybędzie, aby się stawić przed PANEM, twoim Bogiem, na miejscu, które wybierze, odczytasz to prawo do uszu całego Izraela.

when all Israel is come to appear before the LORD thy God in the place which he shall choose, thou shalt read this law before all Israel in their hearing.

12 Zgromadzisz lud: mężczyzn, kobiety, dzieci i obcych, którzy są w [obrębie] twoich bram, aby słuchali i uczyli się, aby się bali PANA, swojego Boga, i pilnowali wypełnienia wszystkich słów tego prawa.

Assemble the people, the men and the women and the little ones, and thy stranger that is within thy gates, that they may hear, and that they may learn, and fear the LORD your God, and observe to do all the words of this law;

13 Ich synowie, którzy [jeszcze] nie znają, niech też słuchają i uczą się bać PANA, waszego Boga, po wszystkie dni waszego życia na ziemi, do której przeprawiacie się przez Jordan, aby ją posiąść.

and that their children, which have not known, may hear, and learn to fear the LORD your God, as long as ye live in the land whither ye go over Jordan to possess it.

14 Potem PAN powiedział do Mojżesza: Oto zbliżają się dni twojej śmierci. Przywołaj Jozuego i stawcie się w Namiocie Zgromadzenia, a ja mu wydam polecenie. Poszedł więc Mojżesz i Jozue i stawili się w Namiocie Zgromadzenia.

And the LORD said unto Moses, Behold, thy days approach that thou must die: call Joshua, and present yourselves in the tent of meeting, that I may give him a charge. And Moses and Joshua went, and presented themselves in the tent of meeting.

15 I PAN ukazał się w namiocie w słupie obłoku. A słup obłoku stanął nad wejściem do namiotu.

And the LORD appeared in the Tent in a pillar of cloud: and the pillar of cloud stood over the door of the Tent.

16 I PAN powiedział do Mojżesza: Oto zaśniesz ze swoimi ojcami, a ten lud powstanie i będzie uprawiał nierząd, idąc za bogami cudzoziemców tej ziemi, do której wchodzi, [by] wśród nich [zamieszkać], i opuści mnie, i złamie moje przymierze, które z nim zawarłem.

And the LORD said unto Moses, Behold, thou shalt sleep with thy fathers; and this people will rise up, and go a whoring after the strange gods of the land, whither they go to be among them, and will forsake me, and break my covenant which I have made with them.

17 W tym dniu zapłonie mój gniew przeciwko nim, opuszczę ich i skryję swe oblicze przed nimi, a oni będą pożarci i spotka ich wiele nieszczęść i utrapień i powiedzą w tym dniu: Czy nie dlatego, że naszego Boga nie ma pośród nas, spotkały nas te nieszczęścia?

Then my anger shall be kindled against them in that day, and I will forsake them, and I will hide my face from them, and they shall be devoured, and many evils and troubles shall come upon them; so that they will say in that day, Are not these evils come upon us because our God is not among us?

18 Lecz ja zupełnie zakryję swe oblicze w tym dniu z powodu całego zła, które czynili, zwracając się ku innym bogom.

And I will surely hide my face in that day for all the evil which they shall have wrought, in that they are turned unto other gods.

19 Teraz więc zapiszcie sobie tę pieśń i naucz jej synów Izraela. Włóż ją w ich usta, aby ta pieśń była dla mnie świadectwem przeciwko synom Izraela.

Now therefore write ye this song for you, and teach thou it the children of Israel: put it in their mouths, that this song may be a witness for me against the children of Israel.

20 Gdy bowiem wprowadzę ich do ziemi, którą poprzysiągłem ich ojcom, [do ziemi] mlekiem i miodem płynącej, i będą jeść do syta, i utyją, [wtedy] zwrócą się ku innym bogom i będą im służyć, a mnie rozdrażnią i złamią moje przymierze;

For when I shall have brought them into the land which I sware unto their fathers, flowing with milk and honey; and they shall have eaten and filled themselves, and waxen fat; then will they turn unto other gods, and serve them, and despise me, and break my covenant.

21 I kiedy spotka ich wiele nieszczęść i utrapień, ta pieśń będzie świadkiem przeciwko nim, gdyż nie zostanie zapomniana w ustach ich potomstwa. Znam bowiem ich zamysł i to, co [jeszcze] dziś będą czynić, zanim wprowadzę ich do ziemi, którą [im] poprzysiągłem.

And it shall come to pass, when many evils and troubles are come upon them, that this song shall testify before them as a witness; for it shall not be forgotten out of the mouths of their seed: for I know their imagination which they go about, even now, before I have brought them into the land which I sware.

22 I Mojżesz napisał tę pieśń tego dnia, i nauczył jej synów Izraela.

So Moses wrote this song the same day, and taught it the children of Israel.

23 Potem nakazał Jozuemu, synowi Nuna: Wzmocnij się i bądź mężny, bo ty wprowadzisz synów Izraela do ziemi, którą im poprzysiągłem, a ja będę z tobą.

And he gave Joshua the son of Nun a charge, and said, Be strong and of a good courage: for thou shalt bring the children of Israel into the land which I sware unto them: and I will be with thee.

24 I kiedy Mojżesz skończył zapisywać słowa tego prawa w księdze;

And it came to pass, when Moses had made an end of writing the words of this law in a book, until they were finished,

25 Nakazał Mojżesz Lewitom, którzy nosili arkę przymierza PANA:

that Moses commanded the Levites, which bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD, saying,

26 Weźcie księgę tego Prawa i połóżcie ją obok arki przymierza PANA, waszego Boga, aby tam była świadkiem przeciwko tobie.

Take this book of the law, and put it by the side of the ark of the covenant of the LORD your God, that it may be there for a witness against thee.

27 Znam bowiem twój upór i twój twardy kark. Oto dziś, dopóki jeszcze żyję z wami, buntujecie się przeciwko PANU, a cóż dopiero po mojej śmierci?

For I know thy rebellion, and thy stiff neck: behold, while I am yet alive with you this day, ye have been rebellious against the LORD; and how much more after my death?

28 Zgromadźcie u mnie wszystkich starszych waszych pokoleń i waszych dowódców, żebym mówił do ich uszu te słowa i wezwał na świadków przeciwko nim niebo i ziemię.

Assemble unto me all the elders of your tribes, and your officers, that I may speak these words in their ears, and call heaven and earth to witness against them.

29 Wiem bowiem, że po mojej śmierci zepsujecie się całkowicie i zboczycie z drogi, którą wam nakazałem. I spotka was nieszczęście w ostateczne dni, gdyż będziecie czynić to, co złe w oczach PANA, drażniąc go dziełem swoich rąk.

For I know that after my death ye will utterly corrupt yourselves, and turn aside from the way which I have commanded you; and evil will befall you in the latter days; because ye will do that which is evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger through the work of your hands.

30 I Mojżesz przemówił do uszu całego zgromadzenia Izraela słowami tej pieśni aż do końca.

And Moses spake in the ears of all the assembly of Israel the words of this song, until they were finished.
