Dzieje 8
1 A Saul zgodził się na zabicie go. W tym czasie zaczęło się wielkie prześladowanie kościoła w Jerozolimie i wszyscy oprócz apostołów rozproszyli się po okolicach Judei i Samarii.
Saul had pleasure in his deeth. And at yt tyme there was a great persecucion agaynst the congregacion which was at Ierusalem and they were all scattered abroade thorowout the regions of Iury and Samaria except the Apostles
2 Szczepana zaś pogrzebali bogobojni ludzie i bardzo go opłakiwali.
Then devout men dressed Steven aud made great lamentacion over him.
3 Tymczasem Saul niszczył kościół. Wchodził do domów, wywlekał mężczyzn i kobiety i wtrącał ich do więzienia.
But Saul made havocke of the congregacion entrynge into every housse and drewe out bothe man and woman and thrust the into preson.
4 A ci, którzy się rozproszyli, szli wszędzie, głosząc słowo [Boże].
They that were scattered abroade went every where preachyng the worde.
5 Filip przybył do miasta Samarii i głosił im Chrystusa.
Then came Philip into a cite of Samaria and preached Christ vnto them.
6 A lud jednomyślnie przyjmował to, co mówił Filip, gdy go słyszeli i widzieli cuda, które czynił.
And the people gave hede vnto those thinges which Philip spake with one acorde in that they hearde and sawe the miracles which he dyd.
7 Duchy nieczyste bowiem wychodziły z donośnym krzykiem z wielu, którzy [je] mieli. Wielu też sparaliżowanych i ułomnych zostało uzdrowionych.
For vnclene spretes cryinge with loude voyce came out of many that were possessed of them. And manye taken with palsies and many yt halted were healed
8 I wielka radość zapanowała w tym mieście.
And ther was great ioye in that cite.
9 A pewien człowiek o imieniu Szymon, który wcześniej w tym mieście zajmował się czarami, mamił lud Samarii, twierdząc, że jest kimś wielkim.
And ther was a certayne man called Simon which before tyme in the same cite vsed witche crafte and bewitched the people of Samarie sayinge that he was a man yt coulde do greate thinges
10 Liczyli się z nim wszyscy od najmniejszego do największego, mówiąc: Ten [człowiek] jest tą wielką mocą Boga.
Whom they regarded from ye lest to the greatest sayinge: this felow is the great power of God.
11 A liczyli się z nim dlatego, że od dłuższego czasu mamił ich [swoimi] czarami.
And him they set moche by because of longe tyme with sorcery he had mocked the.
12 A gdy uwierzyli Filipowi, który głosił o królestwie Bożym i o imieniu Jezusa Chrystusa, chrzcili się zarówno mężczyźni, jak i kobiety.
But assone as they beleved Philippes preachynge of the kyngdome of God and of the name of Iesu Christ they were baptised bothe men and wemen.
13 Uwierzył też sam Szymon, a gdy się ochrzcił, trzymał się Filipa i zdumiewał się, widząc cuda i wielkie znaki, jakie się działy.
Then Simon him selfe beleved also and was baptised and cotinued with Phillip and wondered beholdynge the miracles and signes which were shewed.
14 Kiedy apostołowie, którzy byli w Jerozolimie, usłyszeli, że Samaria przyjęła słowo Boże, wysłali do nich Piotra i Jana;
When ye Apostles which were at Ierusalem hearde saye that Samaria had receaved ye worde of God: they sent vnto the Peter and Iohn
15 Którzy przyszli tam i modlili się za nich, aby otrzymali Ducha Świętego.
which when they were come prayed for the that they myght receave ye holy goost
16 Na żadnego z nich bowiem jeszcze nie zstąpił. Byli tylko ochrzczeni w imię Pana Jezusa.
For as yet he was come on none of them: But they were baptised only in the name of Christ Iesu.
17 Wtedy kładli na nich ręce, a oni otrzymywali Ducha Świętego.
Then layde they their hondes on them and they receaved the holy goost.
18 A gdy Szymon zobaczył, że Duch Święty był udzielany przez nakładanie rąk apostołów, przyniósł im pieniądze;
When Simo sawe that thorowe layinge on of the Apostles hondes on them the holy goost was geven: he offered the money
19 Mówiąc: Dajcie i mnie tę moc, aby [ten], na kogo nałożę ręce, otrzymał Ducha Świętego.
sayinge: Geve me also this power that on whom soever I put the hondes he maye receave the holy goost.
20 I powiedział mu Piotr: Niech zginą z tobą twoje pieniądze, bo sądziłeś, że dar Boży można nabyć za pieniądze.
Then sayde Peter vnto him: thy monye perysh with the because thou wenest that the gifte of God maye be obteyned wt money.
21 Nie masz w tej sprawie części ani udziału, bo twoje serce nie jest prawe przed Bogiem.
Thou hast nether parte nor felloushippe in this busines. For thy hert is not ryght in the syght of God.
22 Dlatego pokutuj z tej twojej nieprawości i proś Boga, a może ci przebaczy zamysł twego serca.
Repent therfore of this thy wickednes and praye God that ye thought of thyne hert maye be forgeven the.
23 Widzę bowiem, że jesteś [pogrążony] w goryczy żółci i w więzach nieprawości.
For I perceave that thou arte full of bitter gall and wrapped in iniquite.
24 Wtedy Szymon odpowiedział: Módlcie się za mnie do Pana, aby nic z tego, co powiedzieliście, mnie nie spotkało.
Then answered Simon and sayde: Praye ye to the lorde for me yt none of these thinges whiche ye have spoken fall on me.
25 A gdy dali świadectwo i opowiedzieli słowo Pana, udali się w drogę powrotną do Jerozolimy i głosili ewangelię w wielu wioskach samarytańskich.
And they whe they had testified and preached the worde of the lorde returned toward Ierusalem and preached the gospell in many cities of the Samaritas.
26 Lecz anioł Pana powiedział do Filipa: Wstań i idź na południe, na drogę, która prowadzi z Jerozolimy do Gazy. Jest to [droga] pustynna.
Then the angell of the lorde spake vnto Phillip sayinge: aryse and goo towardes mydde daye vnto ye waye yt goeth doune fro Ierusalem vnto Gaza which is in ye desert.
27 Wstał więc i poszedł. A oto przyjechał do Jerozolimy oddać cześć [Bogu] Etiopczyk, eunuch, dostojnik królowej etiopskiej Kandaki, który zarządzał jej wszystkimi skarbami;
And he arose and wet on. And beholde a man of Ethiopia which was a chaberlayne and of grete auctorite wt Cadace quene of ye Ethiopias and had ye rule of all her treasure came to Ierusalem for to praye.
28 I wracał, a siedząc na swoim wozie, czytał proroka Izajasza.
And as he returned home agayne sittynge in his charet he rede Esay ye prophet
29 A Duch powiedział do Filipa: Podejdź i przyłącz się do tego wozu.
Then ye sprete sayde vnto Phillip: Goo neare and ioyne thy selfe to yonder charet.
30 Kiedy Filip podbiegł, usłyszał, jak tamten czyta proroka Izajasza, i zapytał: Rozumiesz, co czytasz?
And Philip ranne to him and hearde him rede ye prophet Esayas and sayde: Vnderstondest thou what thou redest?
31 A on odpowiedział: Jak mogę rozumieć, jeśli mi nikt nie wyjaśni? I zaprosił Filipa, aby wszedł i przy nim usiadł.
And he sayd: how can I except I had a gyde? And he desyred Philip that he wold come vp and sit wt him.
32 A czytał ten fragment Pisma: Jak owca na rzeź był prowadzony i jak baranek milczący wobec tego, który go strzyże, tak on nie otworzył swoich ust.
The tenoure of ye scripture which he redde was this. He was ledde as a shepe to be slayne: and lyke a lambe dome before his sherer so opened he not his mouth.
33 W jego poniżeniu pozbawiono go sądu, a któż wypowie jego ród? Jego życie bowiem zostało zabrane z ziemi.
Because of his humblenes he was not estemed: who shall declare his generacio? for his lyfe is taken fro the erthe.
34 I zapytał eunuch Filipa: Proszę cię, o kim to prorok mówi? Sam o sobie czy o kimś innym?
The chamberlayne answered Philip and sayde: I praye the of whom speaketh the Prophet this? of him selfe or of some other man?
35 Wtedy Filip otworzył swe usta i zaczynając od tego [fragmentu] Pisma, głosił mu Jezusa.
And Philip opened his mouth and beganne at ye same scripture and preached vnto him Iesus.
36 A gdy jechali drogą, przybyli nad jakąś wodę. Wówczas eunuch powiedział: Oto woda; co stoi na przeszkodzie, żebym mógł być ochrzczony?
And as they went on their waye they came vnto a certayne water and the chamberlayne sayde: Se here is water what shall let me to be baptised?
37 I powiedział Filip: Jeśli wierzysz z całego serca, możesz. [A on] odpowiedział: Wierzę, że Jezus Chrystus jest Synem Bożym.
Philip sayde vnto him: Yf thou beleve with all thyne hert thou mayst. He answered and sayde: I beleve that Iesus Christe is the sonne of God.
38 Kazał więc zatrzymać wóz. Obaj, Filip i eunuch, zeszli do wody i ochrzcił go.
And he comaunded the charet to stonde still. And they went doune bothe into the water: bothe Philip and also the chamberlayne and he baptised him.
39 A gdy wyszli z wody, Duch Pański porwał Filipa i eunuch go więcej nie widział, ale jechał swoją drogą, radując się.
And assone as they were come out of the water the sprete of the lorde caught awaye Philip yt the chamberlayne sawe him no moore. And he wet on his waye reioysinge:
40 Filip zaś znalazł się w Azocie, a obchodząc wszystkie miasta, głosił ewangelię, aż dotarł do Cezarei.
but Philip was founde at Azotus. And he walked thorow out ye countre preachynge in their cities tyll he came to Cesarea.
