1 Pieśń a psalm synów Korego przedniejszemu śpiewakowi na Machalat ku śpiewaniu, nauczający, (złożony)od Hemana Ezrahytczyka. Panie, Boże zbawienia mego! we dnie i w nocy wołam do ciebie.
A Song [or] Psalm for the sons of Korah, to the chief Musician upon Mahalath Leannoth, Maschil of Heman the Ezrahite. O LORD God of my salvation, I have cried day [and] night before thee:
2 Niech przyjdzie przed oblicze twoje modlitwa moja; nakłoń ucha twego do wołania mego.
Let my prayer come before thee: incline thine ear unto my cry;
For my soul is full of troubles: and my life draweth nigh unto the grave. (Sheol h7585)
4 Poczytano mię między tych, którzy zstępują do dołu; byłem jako człowiek bez wszelakiej mocy.
I am counted with them that go down into the pit: I am as a man [that hath] no strength:
5 Policzony jestem między umarłymi; jestem jako pobici, leżący w grobie, na których więcej nie pamiętasz, którzy są od ręki twojej wytraceni.
Free among the dead, like the slain that lie in the grave, whom thou rememberest no more: and they are cut off from thy hand.
6 Spuściłeś mię w dół najgłębszy, do najciemniejszego i najgłębszego miejsca.
Thou hast laid me in the lowest pit, in darkness, in the deeps.
7 Doległa mię zapalczywość twoja, a wszystkiemi nawałnościami twemi przytłoczyłeś mię. (Sela)
Thy wrath lieth hard upon me, and thou hast afflicted [me] with all thy waves. (Selah)
8 Dalekoś oddalił znajomych moich odemnie, którymeś mię bardzo obrzydził, a takiem zawarty, że mi nie lza wynijść.
Thou hast put away mine acquaintance far from me; thou hast made me an abomination unto them: [I am] shut up, and I cannot come forth.
9 Oko moje zemdlało od utrapienia mego; wzywam cię, Panie! na każdy dzień, wyciągając do ciebie ręce moje.
Mine eye mourneth by reason of affliction: LORD, I have called daily upon thee, I have stretched out my hands unto thee.
10 Izali przed umarłymi cuda czynić będziesz? izali umarli powstaną, aby cię wysławiali? (Sela)
Wilt thou shew wonders to the dead? shall the dead arise [and] praise thee? (Selah)
11 Izali opowiadane będzie w grobie miłosierdzie twoje? a prawda twoja w zginieniu?
Shall thy lovingkindness be declared in the grave? [or] thy faithfulness in destruction?
12 Izali poznają w ciemnościach cuda twoje? a sprawiedliwość twoję w ziemi zapamiętania?
Shall thy wonders be known in the dark? and thy righteousness in the land of forgetfulness?
13 Lecz ja, Panie! do ciebie wołam, a z poranku uprzedza cię modlitwa moja.
But unto thee have I cried, O LORD; and in the morning shall my prayer prevent thee.
14 Przeczże, o Panie! odrzucasz duszę moję, a zakrywasz oblicze twoje przedemną?
LORD, why castest thou off my soul? [why] hidest thou thy face from me?
15 Jamci utrapiony, i prawie już umierający od gwałtu; ponoszę strachy twoje, i trwożę sobą.
I [am] afflicted and ready to die from [my] youth up: [while] I suffer thy terrors I am distracted.
16 Powstał przeciwko mnie srogi gniew twój, a strachy twoje wytraciły mię.
Thy fierce wrath goeth over me; thy terrors have cut me off.
17 Ogarniają mię jako woda przez cały dzień; otaczają mię gromadno.
They came round about me daily like water; they compassed me about together.
18 Oddaliłeś odemnie przyjaciela i towarzysza, a znajomym moim jestem jako w ciemności.
Lover and friend hast thou put far from me, [and] mine acquaintance into darkness.
