1 A NI ara padapadaki on aramaj akan, jamero kan, o jaumaj en im en kaudok, o jadujar akai, ap pokon don ira;
And as they were speaking to the people, the priests, and the captain of the temple, and the Sadducees came upon them,
2 Pwe re makaraki ara kawewe on aramaj akan o ar padapadaki, me Iejuj pan kotin kaiajada me melar akan.
Being grieved that they taught the people, and preached through Jesus the resurrection from the dead.
3 Irail ap kol ira di o kila ira nan imaten lao manda, pwe a waja ponier.
And they laid hands on them, and put [them] in custody to the next day: for it was now evening.
4 A me toto, me ian ronadar majan o, pojonlar; ari, toto en ol akan impan limekid.
But many of them who heard the word, believed; and the number of the men was about five thousand.
5 A mandan ran o jaumaj, o monjap, o jaunkawewe kan pokon pene nan Ierujalem.
And it came to pass on the morrow, that their rulers, and elders, and scribes,
6 A jamero lapalap Anaj, o Kaipaj, o Ioanej, o Alekjander, o karoj, me kijan kainok en jamoro lapalap,
And Annas the high priest, and Caiaphas, and John, and Alexander, and as many as were of the kindred of the high priest, were assembled at Jerusalem.
And when they had set them in the midst, they asked, By what power, or by what name have ye done this?
8 Petruj me dir en Nen jaraui ap majani on irail: Main ko, jaumaj en wei o monjap en Ijrael komail,
Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, Ye rulers of the people, and elders of Israel,
9 Ma je pan pakadeikada, o komail kainoma re at ran wet, pweki dok man on aramaj jomau men, o da me a kelaile kida,
If we this day are examined concerning the good deed done to the impotent man, by what means he is made sound.
10 Komail o aramaj en Ijrael karoj en mani, me mar en lejuj Krijtuj men Najaret, me komail kalopuelar, me Kot kotin kaiajadar jan ren me melar akan, nan i eta, me men et uki o kelail kidar.
Be it known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, [even] by him doth this man stand here before you sound.
11 I takai o, me lokidokila ren komail jauje kan, me id wiala takai en pukakaim.
This is the stone which was set at naught by you builders, which is become the head of the corner.
12 O jota amen, me maur mi re a, pwe pil jota eu mar pan lan, me pakadara don aramaj, me kitail pan maur kida.
Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is no other name under heaven given among men, by which we must be saved.
13 A ni ar kilekilaner en Petruj I Ioanej ara pereperen o jo majak, rap puriamui kila, pwe re ajaer, me ira aramaj mal me jota ian jkul, o jota non audaud, rap ajaer, me ira ianer lejuj.
Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marveled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.
14 A ni ar kilaner aramaj o, me kelailadar, uda imp ara, rap jajalar lokaia.
And beholding the man who was healed standing with them, they could say nothing against it.
15 Irail lao kadar ira jan nan kapun, re ap kapukapun pena indada:
But when they had commanded them to withdraw from the council, they conferred among themselves,
16 Da me kitail en wiai on aramaj pukat, pwe toun Ierujalem ajaer, me ira wiadar kilel janjal eu, a kitail jota kak kalikama.
Saying, What shall we do to these men? for that indeed a notable miracle hath been done by them [is] manifest to all them that dwell in Jerusalem, and we cannot deny [it].
But that it may spread no further among the people, let us strictly threaten them, that they speak henceforth to no man in this name.
And they called them, and commanded them not to speak at all, nor teach in the name of Jesus.
19 A Petruj o Ioanej japen majani on irail: Iaduen, me pun pan kupur en Kot, jen pwili jan komail mon Kot? Pein komail kajaui! l.
But Peter and John answered and said to them, Whether it is right in the sight of God to hearken to you rather than to God, judge ye.
20 Pwe je jo kak jo katitiki, me je kilaner o ronadar.
For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.
21 Irail ap kainapwi ira di kalaudela, re ap kadar ira la, pwe jota me re diaradar, me ira en kamekameki, pweki aramaj akan, pwe karoj, kapina Kot, duen me wiauier.
So when they had further threatened them, they let them go, finding nothing how they might punish them, because of the people: for all [men] glorified God for that which was done.
22 Pwe aramaj o, me manaman en kakelada wiaui on, daulier jaunpar paeijok.
For the man was above forty years old on whom this miracle of healing was performed.
23 Ira lao lapwadar, ap kola ren ian ara ko, kaireki meakan, me jamero lapalap o jaumaj akan katiti on ira.
And being dismissed, they went to their own company, and reported all that the chief priests and elders had said to them.
24 A irail lao ronadar, rap wiaki eu potoan on Kot: Main ir me Kot, me kotin kapikadar lan o jappa, o madau o audepa’ra karoj.
And when they heard that, they lifted up their voice to God with one accord, and said, Lord, thou [art] God, who hast made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all that is in them;
25 Ir me kotin majani ren Dawid, japwilim ar ladu: Da me men liki kan linaranaraki, o da me wei kan lamelameki me mal akan?
Who, by the mouth of thy servant David hast said, Why did the heathen rage, and the people imagine vain things?
The kings of the earth stood up, and the rulers were assembled against the Lord, and against his Christ.
27 Pwe melel nan kanim wet irail karoj pokon penaer, iet akan: Erodej, o Pontiuj Pilatuj, ianaki men liki kan, o men Ijrael akan pwen palian japwilim ar ladu jaraui Iejuj, me re kotin keiedier,
For in truth against thy holy child Jesus, whom thou hast anointed, both Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles, and the people of Israel, were assembled,
28 Pwen kapwaiada meakan, me lim ar o kupur ar kileledier, en wiaui.
To do whatever thy hand and thy counsel determined before to be done.
29 Ari Main, re kotin mani arail linaranar, kotiki on japwilim ar ladu kan, en kaloki ar majan ni peren.
And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant to thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word,
30 O kotin kapa wei lim ar, pwen kakelada, o kilel, o manaman akan en wiauiki mar en japwilim ar ladu jaraui Iejuj.
By stretching forth thy hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus.
31 Ar kapakap apton nikier, waja me re kot pena ia, ap mokimokid.
And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness.
32 A monion o nen en ir karoj me pojonlar, kin lamalam ta pot, o jota me indada duen ar kapwa: Ai met, pwe re aneki pena kapwa takij.
And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart, and of one soul: neither said any [of them] that aught of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common.
33 A wanporon akan me kelail ni arail kadede me Kaun Iejuj kotin iajadar, a mak lapalap ian irail karoj.
And with great power the apostles gave testimony of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.
Neither was there any among them that was in want: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold,
And laid [them] down at the apostles' feet: and distribution was made to every man according as he had need.
36 A Iojej me wanporon akan ki on mar a Parnapaj, (iet wewe: Nain kapol), kadaudok en Lewi amen, men Jipern,
And Joses, who by the apostles was surnamed Barnabas, (which is, being interpreted, The son of consolation, ) a Levite, [and] of the country of Cyprus,
Having land, sold [it], and brought the money, and laid [it] at the apostles' feet.
