< Psalm 79 >

1 MAING Kot, men liki kan tang dong sapwilim omui soso; irail kasaminela sapwilim omui im saraui, o re wiaki Ierusalem kantakai eu.
A Psalm of Asaph. O God, nations have come into Thy inheritance, They have defiled Thy holy temple, They made Jerusalem become heaps,
2 Re ki onger manpir en pan lang akan kalep en sapwilim omui ladu kan, o uduk en sapwilim omui saraui kan ong man en nan sap akan.
They gave the dead bodies of Thy servants Food for the fowls of the heavens, The flesh of Thy saints For the wild beast of the earth.
3 Impan Ierusalem irail wudokila nt’ ar dueta pil, o sota, me pan sarepedi.
They have shed their blood As water round about Jerusalem, And there is none burying.
4 Kit wialar kanamenok eu ong men imp at, o me kapil kit pena, kin lalaue o kaurur kin kit.
We have been a reproach to our neighbours, A scorn and a derision to our surrounders.
5 Maing Ieowa, arai da kom pan kotin ongiong, o inong en kupur omui pan lulada dueta kisiniai?
Till when, O Jehovah? art Thou angry for ever? Thy jealousy doth burn as fire.
6 Kom kotin wudokidi ong men liki kan, me sasa komui, omui ongiong, o ong wei kan, me sota kin likwir ong mar omui.
Pour Thy fury on the nations who have not known Thee, And on kingdoms that have not called in Thy name.
7 Pwe re kawelar Iakop o im ar akan.
For [one] hath devoured Jacob, And his habitation they have made desolate.
8 Kom der kotin tamanda dip en sam at akan; a kom kotin madang sauasa kit, pwe kit me malaulaular.
Remember not for us the iniquities of forefathers, Haste, let Thy mercies go before us, For we have been very weak.
9 Maing Kot, sauas pat, kom kotin sauasa kit, pweki wau en mar omui. Kom kotin dore kit ala o kotin maki ong kit dip at akan, pweki mar omui!
Help us, O God of our salvation, Because of the honour of Thy name, And deliver us, and cover over our sins, For Thy name's sake.
10 Da me kom kotin mueid ong men liki kan en inda: Ari, ia arail Kot? Kom kotin kasale ong men liki kan depuk en ntan sapwilim omui ladu kan, me wudokilar, en pil sansal mo at!
Why do the nations say, 'Where [is] their God?' Let be known among the nations before our eyes, The vengeance of the blood of Thy servants that is shed.
11 Kotin mangi sangesang en me salidi o; kom kotin kolekol kidi lim omui manaman me kileledier ong kamela.
Let the groaning of the prisoner come in before Thee, According to the greatness of Thine arm, Leave Thou the sons of death.
12 Kom kotin depukki ong men imp at pan pak isu ar lalaue, me re lalaue kin komui.
And turn Thou back to our neighbours, Sevenfold unto their bosom, their reproach, Wherewith they reproached Thee, O Lord.
13 A kit, sapwilim omui aramas akan, o sip en sapwilim omui mos, pan danke komui kokolata, kapakaparok duen omui lingan ansau karos.
And we, Thy people, and the flock of Thy pasture, We give thanks to Thee to the age, To all generations we recount Thy praise!
