< Psalm 38 >

1 MAING, der kotin kaloke ia ni omui kupur sued, o der kame ia ni omui ongiong.
O lord, rebuke me not in your wrath: neither chasten me in your hot displeasure.
2 Pwe sapwilim omui kanangan kasik katieu lel dong ia, o lim omui katoutou ia.
For your arrows stick fast in me, and your hand presses me sore.
3 Sota mau kot ni pali war ai pweki omui ongiong, o sota moleilei nan kokon ai kan pweki dip ai
There is no soundness in my flesh because of your anger; neither is there any rest in my bones because of my sin.
4 Pwe dip ai kin kadupaledi mong ai, re kin katoutou ia dueta meakot me toutou melel.
For mine iniquities are gone over mine head: as an heavy burden they are too heavy for me.
5 Ai ola kan posuedela o nanan pweki ai pweipwei.
My wounds stink and are corrupt because of my foolishness.
6 I kin kos pena o pairok wei alialu, i kin insensued ansau karos,
I am troubled; I am bowed down greatly; I go mourning all the day long.
7 Pwe longelong ai mongedier melel, o sota mau kot ni pali war ai.
For my loins are filled with a loathsome disease: and there is no soundness in my flesh.
8 Ngai luetalar melel o i wokiwok pasanger. I kin sangesang, pweki mongiong i sota kak moleilei.
I am feeble and sore broken: I have roared by reason of the chaos of my heart.
9 Maing, kom kotin mangi ai inong karos, o ai sangesang sota rir sang komui.
Lord, all my desire is before you; and my groaning is not hid from you.
10 Mongiong i rerer, ai kelail ko sanger re i, o marain en mas ai pil rotorotala.
My heart pants, my strength fails me: as for the light of mine eyes, it also is gone from me.
11 Kompoke pai o ai warok kan kin doowei sang ia, o suedeki ai kalokolok, o sau i kan kin doo sang ia.
My lovers and my friends stand aloof from my sore; and my kinsmen stand far off.
12 O me kin inong iong kame ia la, kin masamasan ia, o me men wia sued ong ia, kin indinda duen ar pan wiada dodok sued, o re kin widiwiding ansau karos.
They also that seek after my life lay snares for me: and they that seek my hurt speak mischievous things, and imagine deceits all the day long.
13 A ngai dueta me salongepon amen, me sota rong wasa, o dueta me lotong, me sota kak sar pasang au a.
But I, as a deaf man, heard not; and I was as a dumb man that opens not his mouth.
14 Ngai dueta ol amen me solar rong wasa, o sota depuk en lokaia mi nan au ai.
Thus I was as a man that hears not, and in whose mouth are no reproofs.
15 A i kin auiaui komui, Maing. Komui Maing ai Kot pan kotin sapeng ia.
For in you, O LORD, do I hope: you will hear, O Lord my God.
16 Pwe i men, ren der peren kin ia. Ma nä i pan krisedi, re pan peren kida melel.
For I said, Hear me, lest otherwise they should rejoice over me: when my foot slips, they magnify themselves against me.
17 Pwe i koren iong pupedi, o ai kalokolok kin koren iong ia ansau karos.
For I am ready to halt, and my sorrow is continually before me.
18 Pwe i weokada dip ai kan o suedeki dip ai.
For I will declare mine iniquity; I will be sorry for my sin.
19 A ai imwintiti kan memaureta o irail me kelail; me kailong kin ia ni sota karepa me toto.
But mine enemies are lively, and they are strong: and they that hate me wrongfully are multiplied.
20 O me kin depukki ai me mau me sued, kin palian ia, pweki ai dadaurata me mau.
They also that render evil for good are mine adversaries; because I follow the thing that good is.
21 Ieowa ai Kot, kom der muei sang ia o der doowei sang ia!
Forsake me not, O LORD: O my God, be not far from me.
22 Kom kotin madang dong ia, Maing sauas pa i.
Make haste to help me, O Lord my salvation.
