< Psalm 37 >

1 KOE der makaraki me sued akan; o der peirinki me kin wia sapung.
[A Psalm] of David. Fret not yourself because of evil-doers, neither be envious of them that do iniquity.
2 Pwe re pan sorala madang dueta rä, o re pan mongedi dueta tan tuka kan.
For they shall soon be withered as the grass, and shall soon fall away as the green herbs.
3 Kaporoporeki Ieowa o wiada me mau, kaukausonta nan sap o, o wiawia me pung.
Hope in the Lord, and do good; and dwell on the land, and you shall be fed with the wealth of it.
4 Polauleki Ieowa, a pan kotiki ong uk, me mongion om inong iong.
Delight [yourself] in the Lord; and he shall grant you the requests of your heart.
5 Mueid ong Ieowa om wiawia kan o kaporoporeki i, a pan kotin wia mau.
Disclose your way to the Lord, and hope in him; and he shall bring [it] to pass.
6 A pan kapwareda om wiawia me pung dueta marain, o om tiak pung dueta nin sauas.
And he shall bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your judgement as the noon-day.
7 Kaporoporeki Ieowa ap nenenla o auiaui, o koe der makar kida pan me kin pwaida ni a wiawia kan, ol o, me kin kapwaiada me sued.
Submit yourself to the Lord, and supplicate him: fret not yourself because of him that prospers in his way, at the man that does unlawful deeds.
8 Muei sang makar o pwilikidi om lingarangar; koe der makar, pwe koe der pil wia me sued.
ease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not yourself so as to do evil.
9 Pwe me sued akan pan kokoka sang, a me liki Ieowa, pan sapaneki sap o.
For evil-doers shall be destroyed: but they that wait on the Lord, they shall inherit the land.
10 Ansau takis, ap solar me sapung o, o ma koe men kilang deu a, a solar mia.
And yet a little while, and the sinner shall not be, and you shall seek for his place, and shall not find [it].
11 A me opampap akan pan sosoki sap o, o re pan pereperen ki ar kapwa toto.
But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight [themselves] in the abundance of peace.
12 Me sapung o kin kamasak me pung o, o ngi tete ong i.
The sinner will watch for the righteous, and gnash his teeth upon him.
13 A Ieowa kotin kiparamateki i, pwe a kotin mangi a ansau.
But the Lord shall laugh at him: for he foresees that his day will come.
14 Me sapung kan kin ngape kida kodlas o kaonopada kasik katieu, pwen kasikiedi me luet o samama, o kamela me kekeit wei ni melel.
Sinners have drawn their swords, they have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy one, [and] to kill the upright in heart.
15 A ar kodlas pan dokodi pein mongiong arail, o ar kasik katieu pan tip pasang.
Let their sword enter into their [own] heart, and their bows be broken.
16 Me malaulau en me pung amen, me mau sang dipisou toto en me sapung kan.
A little is better to the righteous than abundant wealth of sinners.
17 Pwe pa en me sapung kan pan tip pasang, a Ieowa pan kotin kolekol me pung kan.
For the arms of sinners shall be broken; but the Lord supports the righteous.
18 Ieowa kotin mangier ran en me lelapok kan, o ar dipisou pan duedueta.
The Lord knows the ways of the perfect; and their inheritance shall be for ever.
19 Re sota pan namenokala ni ansau apwal, o ni ansaun lek a pan itar ong ir.
They shall not be ashamed in an evil time; and in days of famine they shall be satisfied.
20 Pwe me sapung kan pan lokidokila, o imwintiti en Ieowa, ma re rasong sap kaselel eu, re pil pan mokonaidi dueta atiniai.
For the sinners shall perish; and the enemies of the Lord at the moment of their being honoured and exalted have utterly vanished like smoke.
21 Me sapung kan kin pwaipwand ap sota kapungala, a me pung o kin kadek o kin kisakisa wei.
The sinner borrows, and will not pay again: but the righteous has compassion, and gives.
22 Pwe me paie kin i, pan sosoki sap o, a me a kotin karialar akan pan kokoka sang.
For they that bless him shall inherit the earth; and they that curse him shall be utterly destroyed.
23 Ieowa kin kotin katengetenge song en aramas due met ar kakakewei, o a kotin peren kida a wiawia kan.
The steps of a man are rightly ordered by the Lord: and he will take pleasure in his way.
24 Ma a pan pupedi, a sota pan lokidokila; pwe Ieowa kotin kolekidi i lim a.
When he falls, he shall not be ruined: for the Lord supports his hand.
25 Ngai pulepul ap malar, a i saikenta kilanger me pung amen likidmalielar, de na kan poekipoeki prot.
I was [once] young, indeed I am now old; yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed seeking bread.
26 A kin kadek ansau karos o kin men kisakis wei, o na kan pan paida.
He is merciful, and lends continually; and his seed shall be blessed.
27 Muei sang me sued ap wia me mau, koe ap pan mimieta nan sap o.
Turn aside from evil, and do good; and dwell for ever.
28 Pwe Ieowa kotin peren kida me pung, o a sota pan kotin likidmaliela sapwilim a saraui kan; re pan nekinek kokolata, a kadaudok en me sapung kan pan kokoka sang.
For the Lord loves judgement, and will not forsake his saints; they shall be preserved for ever: the blameless shall be avenged, but the seed of the ungodly shall be utterly destroyed.
29 Me pung kan pan sosoki sap o, ap mimieta kokolata.
But the righteous shall inherit the earth, and dwell upon it for ever.
30 Au en me pung amen kin kida me lolekong, o lo a kaparokki me pung.
The mouth of the righteous will meditate wisdom, and his tongue will speak of judgement.
31 Masan en a Kot mi nan mongiong i, a sota pan krisedi.
The law of his God is in his heart; and his steps shall not slide.
32 Me sapung kin masamasan me pung, pwen kamela i.
The sinner watches the righteous, and seeks to kill him.
33 A Ieowa sota pan kotin mueid ong, en mi nan pa a kan, o a sota pan kotin kasela i, a lao pan pakadeikada.
But the Lord will not leave him in his hands, nor by any means condemn him when he is judged.
34 Auiaui Ieowa o weweid nan a al akan, a ap pan kotin kasapwil uk ada, pwe koe en sosoki sap o; koe pan kilang, me sapung kan pan kokoka sang.
Wait on the Lord, and keep his way, and he shall exalt you to inherit the land: when the wicked are destroyed, you shall see [it].
35 I kilanger me doo sang Kot amen, me katiwo o pwaida o maurada dueta tuka mau pot.
I saw the ungodly very highly exalting himself, and lifting himself up like the cedars of Libanus.
36 A ni at dauli wasa o, kilang, a soer mia; i idok duen i, a a solar kak diarokada.
Yet I passed by, and behold! he was not: and I sought him, but his place was not found.
37 Dadaurata om lelapok, o wiawia me pung; pwe song due met pan pwaida mau ni imwi.
Maintain innocence, and behold uprightness: for there is a remnant to the peaceful man.
38 A me katiwo kan pan wiaki eu lokidokila, o me sapung kan pan koka sang ni imwi.
But the transgressors shall be utterly destroyed together: the remnants of the ungodly shall be utterly destroyed.
39 A Ieowa kotin sauasa me pung kan, i me kele parail ni ar apwal akan.
But the salvation of the righteous is of the Lord; and he is their defender in the time of affliction.
40 O Ieowa pan kotin ieiang ir o pan dore ir ala; A pan kotin dore ir ala sang me sapung kan, o a pan sauasa ir, pwe re kin liki i.
And the Lord shall help them, and deliver them: and he shall rescue them from sinners, and save them, because they have hoped in him.
