Psalm 31

[For the Chief Musician. A Psalm by David.] In you, YHWH, I take refuge. Let me never be disappointed. Deliver me in your righteousness.

Bow down your ear to me. Deliver me speedily. Be to me a strong rock, a house of defense to save me.

For you are my rock and my fortress, therefore for your name's sake lead me and guide me.

Pluck me out of the net that they have laid secretly for me, for you are my stronghold.

Into your hands I commit my spirit. You redeem me, YHWH, God of truth.

I hate those who regard lying vanities, but I trust in YHWH.
7 I pan pereperen o polauleki omui kalangan, pwe komui me kotin mangi ai luet, o kotin kupura ngen i ni ansau apwal.
I will be glad and rejoice in your loving kindness, for you have seen my affliction. You have known my soul in adversities.
8 O re der mueid ong ai imwintiti, ren kaloe ia di. Kom kotin kasone nä i kat nan wasa salatok.
You have not shut me up into the hand of the enemy. You have set my feet in a large place.
9 Ieowa, kom kotin maki ong ia, pwe i masak; mas ai suedelar ki ai mamauk, pil dueta ngen i o pali war ai.
Have mercy on me, YHWH, for I am in distress. My eye, my soul, and my body waste away with grief.
10 Pwe maur i luet kilar ai insensued, o ai par akan malaulaular ki ai sangesang, ai kelail tikitikelar pweki dip ai, o kokon ai kan luetalar.
For my life is spent with sorrow, my years with sighing. My strength fails because of my affliction, and my bones waste away.
11 Ai imwintiti kan karos lalaue ia, o i wialar kanamenok pan men imp ai kan, o kamasak pan sau i kan; me kilang ia nani al o, kin tangwei sang ia.
Because of all my adversaries I have become utterly contemptible to my neighbors, A fear to my acquaintances. Those who saw me on the street fled from me.
12 Aramas monoke ia lar dueta me melar amen; ngai rasong dal eu, me mor pasang.
I am forgotten from their hearts like a dead man. I am like broken pottery.
13 Pwe i ronger duen me toto kin puserokiong ia; men kamasak kapil ia pena; re kin kapung pena duen ngai, pwen kame ia la.
For I have heard the slander of many, terror on every side, while they conspire together against me, they plot to take away my life.
14 A i kin kaporoporeki komui Maing, i ap inda: Komui ta ai Kot!
But I trust in you, YHWH. I said, "You are my God."

My times are in your hand. Deliver me from the hand of my enemies, and from those who persecute me.
16 Kamarainiki sapwilim omui ladu silang omui, dore ia ki omui, dore ia ki omui kalangan.
Make your face to shine on your servant. Save me in your loving kindness.

Let me not be disappointed, YHWH, for I have called on you. Let the wicked be disappointed. Let them be silent in Sheol. (Sheol h7585)
18 Kil en au en me likam akan en nenenla, irail, me lalaue me pung kan ni laumaum, o aklapalap, o kaurur.
Let the lying lips be mute, which speak against the righteous insolently, with pride and contempt.
19 Meid laud omui kalangan, me kom kotin nekinekid ong me lan komui kan, o me kom kin kasale ong ir, me liki komui sansal mon aramas akan.
Oh how great is your goodness, which you have stored up for those who fear you, which you have worked for those who take refuge in you, before the descendants of Adam.
20 Kom kin kotin karir ir ala re omui sang karos, me kailong kin ir; kom kin kadupal ir edi sang mon lo akamai.
In the shelter of your presence you will hide them from the plotting of man. You will keep them secretly in a dwelling away from the strife of tongues.
21 Kapinga ong Ieowa, me kotin kalangan laud ong ia nan kanim tengeteng eu.
Praise be to YHWH, for he has shown me his marvelous loving kindness in a besieged city.
22 Pwe ni ai peikasal i indindar: I lokidokilar sang mon silang ar. Ari so, kom kotin ereki ngil en ai ngidingid, ni ai potoan werwiwer ong komui.
As for me, I said in my haste, "I am cut off from before your eyes." Nevertheless you heard the voice of my petitions when I cried to you.
23 Komail sapwilim a saraui kan karos, pok ong Ieowa! Ieowa kin kotin sinsila me poson akan, ap depuk ong ir melel, me aklapalap akan.
Oh love YHWH, all you his faithful ones. YHWH preserves the faithful, and fully recompenses him who behaves arrogantly.
24 Komail karos me kaporoporeki Ieowa, en kelail o der masak!
Be strong, and let your heart take courage, all you who hope in YHWH.
