< Psalm 18 >

1 I KIN pok ong komui Maing, ai kel.
For the Chief Musician. By David the servant of the LORD, who spoke to the LORD the words of this song in the day that the LORD delivered him from the hand of all his enemies, and from the hand of Saul. He said, I love you, LORD, my strength.
2 Ieowa ai paip, ai kel, ai saundor ai Kot, ai paipalap, me i kin liki, pere pa i, menkamaur pa i o sile pa i!
The LORD is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower.
3 I kin ngidingid ong Ieowa, me kaping en ko ong, o i pan dorela sang ai imwintiti kan.
I call on the LORD, who is worthy to be praised; and I am saved from my enemies.
4 I lodi onger sal en mela kan, o pilap en Pileam akan kamasak ia er.
The cords of death surrounded me. The floods of ungodliness made me afraid.
5 Sal en wasan mela kol ia dier, o sal en mela kaloe ia dier. (Sheol h7585)
The cords of Sheol were around me. The snares of death came on me. (Sheol h7585)
6 Ni ai masak i likwir ong Ieowa o weriwer ong ai Kot; I ap kotin ereki ngil ai sang nan tanpas a, o ai likwir lel ong karong a kan.
In my distress I called on the LORD, and cried to my God. He heard my voice out of his temple. My cry before him came into his ears.
7 Sappa rerer o mokidedar, o pason en nana kan ititekok o rerer, ni a kotin ongiongidar.
Then the earth shook and trembled. The foundations also of the mountains quaked and were shaken, because he was angry.
8 Atiniai koda sang nan silang i, o kisiniai kelail sang nan au a, ap kareda liol.
Smoke went out of his nostrils. Consuming fire came out of his mouth. Coals were kindled by it.
9 O a kotikidier nanlang o kotidido, o rotorot impan aluwilu a kan.
He bowed the heavens also, and came down. Thick darkness was under his feet.
10 O a kotikot pon Kerup amen o kotin pirwei, o a kotin dake pa en ang.
He rode on a cherub, and flew. Yes, he soared on the wings of the wind.
11 Tanpas a im pwal iei rotorot, o katau laud, o tapok rotorot, kapil pena i.
He made darkness his hiding place, his pavilion around him, darkness of waters, thick clouds of the skies.
12 Lingan me mi mo a, kamueit pasang tapok kan iang akel o liol.
At the brightness before him his thick clouds passed, hailstones and coals of fire.
13 O Ieowa kotin wiadar nansapwe nanlang, o me Lapalapia kotin poronelar kapit i iang akel o liol.
The LORD also thundered in the sky. The Most High uttered his voice: hailstones and coals of fire.
14 A kotin kasik wei sapwilim a kanang en kasik katieu, o kotin kamueit irail pasang. A kotin wiadar liol toto o kamasak irail adar.
He sent out his arrows, and scattered them. He routed them with great lightning bolts.
15 Al en pil akan ap sansaladar, o pason en sappa weiweidar ki ar ongiong Maing, mon ang en silang omui.
Then the channels of waters appeared. The foundations of the world were laid bare at your rebuke, LORD, at the blast of the breath of your nostrils.
16 A kotikidier lim a sang nan wasa ileile, a kotin kol ia di o kotin api ia dar sang nan pil kalaimun akan.
He sent from on high. He took me. He drew me out of many waters.
17 A kotin dore ia la sang ai imwintiti kelail akan, sang ir, me kailong kin ia, ir me i sota itar ong.
He delivered me from my strong enemy, from those who hated me; for they were too mighty for me.
18 Irail kaloe ia dier ni ai ran apwal, a Ieowa kotin wialar sauas pa i.
They came on me in the day of my calamity, but the LORD was my support.
19 O a kotin kalua ia wasan saladok, a kotin kamaio ia da, aki a kotin kupukupura ia.
He brought me out also into a large place. He delivered me, because he delighted in me.
20 Ieowa kin kotin sauasa ia duen ai pung, a kotin katingi ong ia duen makelekel en pa i kan.
The LORD has rewarded me according to my righteousness. According to the cleanness of my hands, he has recompensed me.
21 Pwe i kin weweid nani al en Ieowa, o i sota kin katiwo ong ai Kot.
For I have kept the ways of the LORD, and have not wickedly departed from my God.
22 Pwe a masan akan mi mo i, o i sota pan kase sang ia a kusoned akan.
For all his ordinances were before me. I didn’t put away his statutes from me.
23 Pwe ngai unsokalar mon silang i o suedeki ai sapung.
I was also blameless with him. I kept myself from my iniquity.
24 O Ieowa kotin katingi ong ia duen ai pung, o duen makelekel en pa i kan mon silang i.
Therefore the LORD has rewarded me according to my righteousness, according to the cleanness of my hands in his eyesight.
25 Komui me kalangan ong me mau kan, o lelapok ong me lelapok kan,
With the merciful you will show yourself merciful. With the perfect man, you will show yourself perfect.
26 O makelekel ren me makelekel akan, o sapung ren me sapung kan.
With the pure, you will show yourself pure. With the crooked you will show yourself shrewd.
27 Pwe kom kin kotin dorela aramas luet akan, ap kadukiedi mas en me aklapalap akan.
For you will save the afflicted people, but the arrogant eyes you will bring down.
28 Pwe kom kin kotin kamaraini ai lamp, Ieowa ai Kot kin kamaraini ai rotorot.
For you will light my lamp, LORD. My God will light up my darkness.
29 Pwe ni ai iang komui i kak kaloedi karis en saunpei kan, o ni ai iang ai Kot, i kak luswei pon kel takai.
For by you, I advance through a troop. By my God, I leap over a wall.
30 Al en Kot me unsokala; masan en Ieowa me makelekel. I pere pan karos, me liki i.
As for God, his way is perfect. The LORD’s word is tried. He is a shield to all those who take refuge in him.
31 Pwe ia amen Kot impan Ieowa, de ia paip eu impan atail Kot?
For who is God, except the LORD? Who is a rock, besides our God,
32 Iei Kot, me kotin aude kin ia manaman, o kaunsokala al ai.
the God who arms me with strength, and makes my way perfect?
33 A kin kotin wiai ong nä i kan dueta nä en tia, o kotin kasapwil ia dang wasa ileile.
He makes my feet like deer’s feet, and sets me on my high places.
34 A kotin padaki ong pa i kan tiak en mauin o, pwen kak ong kaonopada kasik katieu mata.
He teaches my hands to war, so that my arms bend a bow of bronze.
35 Kom kotiki ong ia pere pan maur omui, o lim omui pali maun kamana ia da, o omui opampap me kasapwil ia da.
You have also given me the shield of your salvation. Your right hand sustains me. Your gentleness has made me great.
36 Kom kotin kaonopadar al, me i pan weweid ia, pwe nä i kan ender krisedi.
You have enlarged my steps under me, My feet have not slipped.
37 I pan tang wong ai imwintiti kan o kono irail edi, o i sota pan puredo, lao karos lodier.
I will pursue my enemies, and overtake them. I won’t turn away until they are consumed.
38 I pan kamor irail pasang, re sota pan kak palian ia, o re pan pupedi ong pan nä i kan.
I will strike them through, so that they will not be able to rise. They shall fall under my feet.
39 Kom kak kamana kin ia omui manaman ong ni pei; Kom kak kasedi ong pan nä i kan karos me palian ia.
For you have armed me with strength to the battle. You have subdued under me those who rose up against me.
40 Kom kin kotin kaloedi ong ia ai imwintiti kan, pwen kawela, me kailong kin ia.
You have also made my enemies turn their backs to me, that I might cut off those who hate me.
41 Re kin likelikwir, a sota sauas parail ren Ieowa, a sota kotin sapeng ir.
They cried, but there was no one to save; even to the LORD, but he didn’t answer them.
42 I pan suk irail pasang dueta pwel par nan kisiniang; i pan kase ir ala dueta pwel samin sang nani al o.
Then I beat them small as the dust before the wind. I cast them out as the mire of the streets.
43 Kom kin kotin dore ia sang ren akamai en aramas, o kom kotin kasapwil ia dang men liki kan; o wei eu me i sasa kin upa ong ia.
You have delivered me from the strivings of the people. You have made me the head of the nations. A people whom I have not known shall serve me.
44 Ni ar ronger, re peiki ong ia er, o nain men wai kan peikiong ia ni lingkaping.
As soon as they hear of me they shall obey me. The foreigners shall submit themselves to me.
45 Nain men wai kan poridier o rerer o pwarado sang nan ar im kalaimun akan.
The foreigners shall fade away, and shall come trembling out of their strongholds.
46 Ieowa kotin ieias; kaping ong ai paipalap; o kaping ong Kot ai saundor.
The LORD lives! Blessed be my rock. Exalted be the God of my salvation,
47 Kot me kotin depuk ong ai imwintiti kan, o a kotin kaloedi ong ia ai imwintiti kan;
even the God who executes vengeance for me, and subdues peoples under me.
48 Kom kotin dore ia la sang ai imwintiti kan, o kom kotin kasapwil ia dang ir, me palian ia. Kom kin kotin sauasa ia ong me morsued ong ia.
He rescues me from my enemies. Yes, you lift me up above those who rise up against me. You deliver me from the violent man.
49 I me i men danke komui, Maing Ieowa, nan pung en men liki kan o kauleki duen mar omui,
Therefore I will give thanks to you, LORD, among the nations, and will sing praises to your name.
50 Komui me kotin kamaurada melel sapwilim a nanmarki o a kotin sauasa mau sapwilim a Dawid keiedier o kadaudok a kokolata.
He gives great deliverance to his king, and shows loving kindness to his anointed, to David and to his offspring, forever more.
