< Psalm 16 >
1 MAING Kot, kom kotin sinsila ia, pwe i liki komui.
A Precious Psalm of David. Preserve me, O GOD, for I have sought refuge in thee.
2 Ngai potoan ong Ieowa: Komui ta ai Kaun, sota eu pai, me i asa, pwe komui eta.
Thou hast said unto Yahweh, My Lord, art thou! My goodness, mounteth not unto thee.
3 O I kin indang saraui kan, me kin mi nan sappa: Met akan pwin isou, me I kin pokepoke sang ni mongiong i.
It belongeth unto the holy ones, whom, in his own land, Yahweh, ennobleth, In whom is all his delight
4 A irail me kin idedauen amen, pan lodi ong apwal toto. I sota mauki arail mairong, me doleki nta, de mar arail I sota pan inda.
They multiply their idols—another, have they purchased! I will not pour out their drink-offerings of blood, nor will I take up their names on my lips.
5 A Ieowa ai pai o ai peren; Komui kin kolekol ai soso.
Yahweh, is mine allotted portion and my cup, Thou, art maintaining my lot.
6 I diaradar ai pwais en sap kaselel eu, ei pai kaselel eu, me i sosokier.
The lines, have fallen unto me, in pleasant places, Verily an inheritance that delighteth me.
7 I kapinga Ieowa, me kotin kalolekong ia; pil ni pong mudilik i kan kin padaki ong ia.
I will bless Yahweh, who hath counselled me, —Surely, by night, shall mine impulses admonish me.
8 I kin ariri Ieowa ansau karos, pwe a kotikot ni pali maun i, i ap sota pan luetala.
I have set Yahweh before me continually, because he is on my right hand, I shall not be shaken!
9 I me mongiong i kin peren kida, o ngen i kin popol, pwe pil pali uduk ai pan moleilei.
Therefore, hath my heart rejoiced, and mine honour exulted, Yea, my flesh, shall settle down securely;
10 Pwe kom sota pan kotin mauki, ngen i en mimieta nan wasan mela, o kom sota pan mueid ong, me sapwilim omui saraui men pan mor pasang. (Sheol )
For thou wilt not abandon my soul to hades, neither wilt thou suffer thy man of lovingkindness, to see corruption: (Sheol )
11 Kom kin kotin kaasa kin ia al maur; peren lapalap mi mon silang omui, o meid lingan ni pali maun en lim omui kokolata.
Thou wilt cause me to know, the path of life, —Fulness of joys before thee, Pleasures at thy right hand evermore.
