دوم سموئیل 22

1 وقتی که خداوند داوود را از دست شائول و دشمنان دیگرش رهانید، او این سرود را برای خداوند سرایید:

And David spoke unto the LORD the words of this song in the day that the LORD had delivered him out of the hand of all his enemies, and out of the hand of Saul:

2 خداوند قلعهٔ من است. او صخرهٔ من است و مرا نجات می‌بخشد.

And he said, The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer;

3 خدایم صخرهٔ محکمی است که به آن پناه می‌برم. او همچون سپر از من محافظت می‌کند، به من پناه می‌دهد و با قدرتش مرا می‌رهاند. نجا‌ت‌دهندۀ من، مرا از ظلم می‌رهاند.

The God of my rock; in him will I trust: he is my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, my saviour; you save me from violence.

4 او را به کمک خواهم طلبید و از چنگ دشمنان رهایی خواهم یافت. ای خداوند تو شایستهٔ پرستش هستی!

I will call on the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.

5 مرگ، مرا در چنگال خود گرفتار کرده بود و موجهای ویرانگرش مرا در بر گرفته بود.

When the waves of death compassed me, the floods of ungodly men made me afraid;

6 مرگ برای من دام نهاده بود تا مرا به کام خود بکشد. (Sheol h7585)

The sorrows of hell compassed me about; the snares of death prevented me; (Sheol h7585)

7 اما من در این پریشانی به سوی خداوند فریاد برآوردم و از خدایم کمک خواستم. فریاد من به گوش او رسید و او از خانهٔ مقدّسش نالهٔ مرا شنید.

In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried to my God: and he did hear my voice out of his temple, and my cry did enter into his ears.

8 آنگاه زمین تکان خورد و لرزید و بنیاد آسمان مرتعش شد و به لرزه درآمد، زیرا خداوند به خشم آمده بود.

Then the earth shook and trembled; the foundations of heaven moved and shook, because he was angry.

9 دود از بینی او برآمد و شعله‌های سوزانندهٔ آتش از دهانش زبانه کشید.

There went up a smoke out of his nostrils, and fire out of his mouth devoured: coals were kindled by it.

10 او آسمان را شکافت و نزول کرد، زیر پایش ابرهای سیاه قرار داشت.

He bowed the heavens also, and came down; and darkness was under his feet.

11 بر ارابهٔ آسمانی خویش سوار شد و با سرعت باد پرواز نمود.

And he rode upon a cherub, and did fly: and he was seen upon the wings of the wind.

12 او خود را با تاریکی پوشاند و ابرهای غلیظ و پر آب او را احاطه کردند.

And he made darkness pavilions round about him, dark waters, and thick clouds of the skies.

13 درخشندگی حضور او، شعله‌های آتش پدید آورد.

Through the brightness before him were coals of fire kindled.

14 آنگاه خداوند، خدای متعال، با صدای رعدآسا از آسمان سخن گفت.

The LORD thundered from heaven, and the most High uttered his voice.

15 او با تیرهای آتشین خود، دشمنانم را پراکنده و پریشان ساخت.

And he sent out arrows, and scattered them; lightning, and humiliated them.

16 آنگاه به فرمان او آب دریا به عقب رفت و با دمیدن نفس خداوند خشکی پدید آمد.

And the channels of the sea appeared, the foundations of the world were discovered, at the rebuking of the LORD, at the blast of the breath of his nostrils.

17 خداوند از آسمان دست خود را دراز کرد و مرا از اعماق آبهای بسیار بیرون کشید.

He sent from above, he took me; he drew me out of many waters;

18 مرا از چنگ دشمنان نیرومندی که از من تواناتر بودند، رهانید

He delivered me from my strong enemy, and from them that hated me: for they were too strong for me.

19 وقتی در سختی و پریشانی بودم، دشمنان بر من هجوم آوردند، اما خداوند مرا حفظ کرد.

They prevented me in the day of my calamity: but the LORD was my stay.

20 او مرا به جای امنی برد، او مرا نجات داد، زیرا مرا دوست می‌داشت.

He brought me forth also into a large place: he delivered me, because he delighted in me.

21 خداوند پاداش درستکاری و پاکی مرا داده است،

The LORD rewarded me according to my righteousness: according to the cleanness of my hands has he recompensed me.

22 زیرا از دستورهای خداوند اطاعت نموده‌ام و به خدای خود گناه نورزیده‌ام.

For I have kept the ways of the LORD, and have not wickedly departed from my God.

23 همهٔ احکامش را بجا آورده‌ام و از فرمان او سرپیچی نکرده‌ام.

For all his judgments were before me: and as for his statutes, I did not depart from them.

24 در نظر خداوند بی‌عیب بوده‌ام، خود را از گناه دور نگاه داشته‌ام.

I was also upright before him, and have kept myself from mine iniquity.

25 خداوند به من پاداش داده است، زیرا در نظر او پاک و درستکار بوده‌ام.

Therefore the LORD has recompensed me according to my righteousness; according to my cleanness in his eye sight.

26 خدایا، تو نسبت به کسانی که به تو وفادارند، امین هستی و کسانی را که کاملند محبت می‌کنی.

With the merciful you will show yourself merciful, and with the upright man you will show yourself upright.

27 به اشخاص پاک، خود را پاک نشان می‌دهی، ولی با اشخاص حیله‌گر، به زیرکی رفتار می‌کنی.

With the pure you will show yourself pure; and with the perverse you will show yourself unpleasing.

28 تو افتادگان را نجات می‌دهی، اما متکبران را سرنگون می‌کنی.

And the afflicted people you will save: but your eyes are upon the haughty, that you may bring them down.

29 ای خداوند، تو نور من هستی، تو تاریکی مرا به روشنایی تبدیل می‌کنی.

For you are my lamp, O LORD: and the LORD will lighten my darkness.

30 با کمک تو به سپاهیان دشمن حمله خواهم برد و قلعه‌های آنها را در هم خواهم کوبید.

For by you I have run through a troop: by my God have I leaped over a wall.

31 اعمال خداوند کامل و بی‌نقص است و وعده‌های او پاک و قابل اعتماد! خداوند از کسانی که به او پناه می‌برند مانند سپر محافظت می‌کند.

As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all them that trust in him.

32 کیست خدا غیر از یهوه و کیست صخرهٔ مستحکم غیر از خدای ما؟

For who is God, save the LORD? and who is a rock, save our God?

33 خدا به من قوت می‌بخشد و در راههایی که می‌روم مرا حفظ می‌کند.

God is my strength and power: and he makes my way perfect.

34 پاهایم را چون پاهای آهو می‌گرداند تا بتوانم بر بلندیها بایستم.

He makes my feet like hinds' feet: and sets me upon my high places.

35 او دستهای مرا برای جنگ تقویت می‌کند تا بتوانم کمان مفرغین را خم کنم.

He teaches my hands to war; so that a bow of steel is broken by mine arms.

36 خداوندا، تو با سپرت مرا نجات داده‌ای، و از لطف توست که به این عظمت رسیده‌ام.

You have also given me the shield of your salvation: and your gentleness has made me great.

37 زمین زیر پایم را وسیع ساخته‌ای تا نلغزم.

You have enlarged my steps under me; so that my feet did not slip.

38 دشمنانم را تعقیب می‌کنم و آنها را شکست می‌دهم و تا آنها را از بین نبرم، باز نمی‌گردم.

I have pursued mine enemies, and destroyed them; and turned not again until I had consumed them.

39 آنها را چنان بر زمین می‌کوبم که زیر پاهایم بیفتند و برنخیزند.

And I have consumed them, and wounded them, that they could not arise: yea, they are fallen under my feet.

40 تو برای جنگیدن مرا قوت بخشیده‌ای و دشمنانم را زیر پاهای من انداخته‌ای.

For you have girded me with strength to battle: them that rose up against me have you subdued under me.

41 تو آنها را وادار به عقب‌نشینی و فرار می‌نمایی و من آنها را نابود می‌کنم.

You have also given me the necks of mine enemies, that I might destroy them that hate me.

42 فریاد برمی‌آورند، ولی کسی نیست که آنها را برهاند. از خداوند کمک می‌خواهند، اما او نیز به داد ایشان نمی‌رسد.

They looked, but there was none to save; even unto the LORD, but he answered them not.

43 من آنها را خرد کرده، به صورت غبار درمی‌آورم، و آنها را مانند گل کوچه‌ها لگدمال می‌کنم.

Then did I beat them as small as the dust of the earth, I did stamp them as the mire of the street, and did spread them abroad.

44 تو مرا از شورش قومم نجات داده‌ای و مرا رهبر قومها ساخته‌ای. مردمی که قبلاً آنها را نمی‌شناختم اکنون مرا خدمت می‌کنند.

You also have delivered me from the strivings of my people, you have kept me to be head of the heathen: a people which I knew not shall serve me.

45 بیگانه‌ها در حضور من سر تعظیم فرود می‌آورند و به محض شنیدن دستورهایم، آنها را اجرا می‌کنند.

Strangers shall submit themselves unto me: as soon as they hear, they shall be obedient unto me.

46 آنها روحیهٔ خود را باخته‌اند و با ترس و لرز از قلعه‌های خود بیرون می‌آیند.

Strangers shall fade away, and they shall be afraid out of their close places.

47 خداوند زنده است! شکر و سپاس بر خدای متعال باد که صخرهٔ نجات من است!

The LORD lives; and blessed be my rock; and exalted be the God of the rock of my salvation.

48 خدایی که انتقام مرا می‌گیرد، قومها را مغلوب من می‌گرداند،

It is God that avenges me, and that brings down the people under me.

49 و مرا از چنگ دشمنان می‌رهاند. خداوندا، تو مرا بر دشمنانم پیروز گردانیدی و از دست ظالمان رهایی دادی.

And that brings me forth from mine enemies: you also have lifted me up on high above them that rose up against me: you have delivered me from the violent man.

50 ای خداوند، تو را در میان قومها خواهم ستود و در وصف تو خواهم سرایید.

Therefore I will give thanks unto you, O LORD, among the heathen, and I will sing praises unto your name.

51 خدا پیروزیهای بزرگی نصیب پادشاه برگزیدهٔ خود، داوود، می‌سازد، و بر او و نسلش همیشه رحمت می‌فرماید.

He is the tower of salvation for his king: and shows mercy to his anointed, unto David, and to his seed for evermore.
