زکریا 7

۱ 1 و در سال چهارم داریوش پادشاه واقع شدکه کلام خداوند در روز چهارم ماه نهم که ماه کسلو باشد بر زکریا نازل شد.

And in the fourth yeere of King Darius, the worde of the Lord came vnto Zechariah in the fourth day of the ninth moneth, euen in Chisleu,

۲ 2 و اهل بیت ئیل یعنی شراصر و رجم ملک و کسان ایشان فرستاده بودند تا از خداوند مسالت نمایند.

For they had sent vnto the House of God Sharezer, and Regem-melech and their men to pray before the Lord,

۳ 3 و به کاهنانی که در خانه یهوه صبایوت بودند و به انبیا تکلم نموده، گفتند: «آیا در ماه پنجم می‌باید که من گریه کنم و زهد ورزم چنانکه در این سالها کردم؟»

And to speake vnto the Priests, which were in the House of the Lord of hostes, and to the Prophets, saying, Should I weepe in the fift moneth, and separate my selfe as I haue done these so many yeeres?

۴ 4 پس یهوه صبایوت به من نازل شده، گفت:

Then came the word of the Lord of hostes vnto me, saying,

۵ 5 «تمامی قوم زمین و کاهنان را خطاب کرده، بگو: چون در این هفتاد سال در ماه پنجم و ماه هفتم روزه داشتید و نوحه گری نمودید، آیا برای من هرگز روزه می‌داشتید؟

Speake vnto all the people of the land, and to the Priests, and say, When ye fasted, and mourned in the fift and seuenth moneth, euen the seuentie yeeres, did ye fast vnto me? doe I approoue it?

۶ 6 و چون می‌خورید وچون می‌نوشید، آیا به جهت خود نمی خورید وبرای خود نمی نوشید؟

And when ye did eate, and when ye did drinke, did ye not eate for your selues, and drinke for your selues?

۷ 7 آیا کلامی را که خداوندبه واسطه انبیای سلف ندا کرد، هنگامی که اورشلیم مسکون و امن می‌بود و شهرهای مجاورش و جنوب و هامون مسکون می‌بود(نمی دانید)؟»

Should ye not heare the wordes, which the Lord hath cryed by the ministerie of the former Prophets when Ierusalem was inhabited, and in prosperitie, and the cities thereof round about her, when the South and the plaine was inhabited?

۸ 8 و کلام خداوند بر زکریا نازل شده، گفت:

And the worde of the Lord came vnto Zechariah, saying,

۹ 9 «یهوه صبایوت امر فرموده، چنین می‌گوید: براستی داوری نمایید و با یکدیگر احسان و لطف معمول دارید.

Thus speaketh the Lord of hostes, saying, Execute true iudgement, and shewe mercy and compassion, euery man to his brother,

۱۰ 10 و بر بیوه‌زنان و یتیمان و غریبان و فقیران ظلم منمایید و در دلهای خود بر یکدیگر بدی میندیشید.

And oppresse not the widowe, nor the fatherles, the stranger nor the poore, and let none of you imagine euil against his brother in your heart.

۱۱ 11 اما ایشان از گوش گرفتن ابا نمودند و سرکشی کرده، گوشهای خودرا از شنیدن سنگین ساختند.

But they refused to hearken, and pulled away the shoulder, and stopped their eares, that they should not heare.

۱۲ 12 بلکه دلهای خویش را (مثل ) الماس سخت نمودند تاشریعت و کلامی را که یهوه صبایوت به روح خود به واسطه انبیای سلف فرستاده بود نشنوند، بنابراین خشم عظیمی از جانب یهوه صبایوت صادر شد.

Yea, they made their hearts as an adamant stone, least they should heare the Lawe and the wordes which the Lord of hostes sent in his spirit by the ministerie of ye former Prophets: therefore came a great wrath from the Lord of hostes.

۱۳ 13 پس واقع خواهد شد چنانکه او نداکرد و ایشان نشنیدند، همچنان یهوه صبایوت می‌گوید ایشان فریاد خواهند برآورد و من نخواهم شنید.

Therefore it is come to passe, that as he cried, and they would not heare, so they cried, and I would not heare, sayth the Lord of hostes.

۱۴ 14 و ایشان را بر روی تمامی امت هایی که نشناخته بودند، به گردباد پراکنده خواهم ساخت و زمین در عقب ایشان چنان ویران خواهد شد که کسی در آن عبور و ترددنخواهد کرد پس زمین مرغوب را ویران ساخته‌اند.»

But I scattered them among all the nations, whom they knew not: thus the land was desolate after them, that no man passed through nor returned: for they layd the pleasant land waste.
