۱ 1 قصیده آساف چرا‌ای خدا ما را ترک کرده‌ای تا به ابدو خشم تو بر گوسفندان مرتع خودافروخته شده است؟

An Instructive Psalm. Asaph’s. Wherefore, O God, hast thou cast off utterly? Shall thine anger smoke against the flock of thine own pasturing?

۲ 2 جماعت خود را که ازقدیم خریده‌ای، بیاد آور و آن را که فدیه داده‌ای تا سبط میراث تو شود و این کوه صهیون را که درآن ساکن بوده‌ای.

Remember thine own assembly thou didst acquire aforetime, Thou didst redeem the tribe of thine own inheritance, Mount Zion, wherein thou didst take up thy habitation.

۳ 3 قدمهای خود را بسوی خرابه های ابدی بردار زیرا دشمن هرچه را که درقدس تو بود خراب کرده است.

Lift up thy steps unto the places utterly unsafe, All the mischief!—the foe in the sanctuary!

۴ 4 دشمنانت درمیان جماعت تو غرش می‌کنند و علمهای خودرا برای علامات برپا می‌نمایند.

Thine adversaries have roared in the midst of thine appointed meeting, They have set their ensigns as tokens!

۵ 5 و ظاهرمی شوند چون کسانی که تبرها را بر درختان جنگل بلند می‌کنند.

One used to be known according as he carried up high—into the thicket of trees—the axes;

۶ 6 و الان همه نقشهای تراشیده آن را به تبرها و چکشها خرد می‌شکنند.

But, now, the doors thereof all together, with axes and hammers, they batter down.

۷ 7 قدس های تو را آتش زده‌اند و مسکن نام تو را تابه زمین بی‌حرمت کرده‌اند.

They have cast, into the fire, thy sanctuary, To the ground, have they profaned the habitation of thy Name.

۸ 8 و در دل خودمی گویند آنها را تمام خراب می‌کنیم. پس جمیع کنیسه های خدا را در زمین سوزانیده‌اند.

They have said in their heart, Let us suppress them altogether, They have burned up all the meeting-places of GOD in the land.

۹ 9 آیات خود را نمی بینیم و دیگر هیچ نبی نیست. و درمیان ما کسی نیست که بداند تا به کی خواهد بود.

Our own signs, have we not seen, —There is no longer a prophet, —Neither is there with us, one who knoweth—How long!

۱۰ 10 ‌ای خدا، دشمن تا به کی ملامت خواهد کرد؟ وآیا خصم، تا به ابد نام تو را اهانت خواهد نمود؟

How long, O God, shall the adversary, reproach? Shall the enemy revile thy Name perpetually?

۱۱ 11 چرا دست خود یعنی دست راست خویش رابرگردانیده‌ای؟ آن را از گریبان خود بیرون کشیده، ایشان را فانی کن.

Wherefore shouldst thou withdraw thy hand—thy right hand? [Bring it] out of the midst of thy bosom! (Selah)

۱۲ 12 و خدا از قدیم پادشاه من است. او در میان زمین نجات‌ها پدید می‌آورد.

But, God, hath been my king from aforetime, Working Deliverances in the midst of the earth.

۱۳ 13 تو به قوت خوددریا را منشق ساختی و سرهای نهنگان را در آبهاشکستی.

Thou, didst cleave asunder, in thy might, the sea, Thou didst break in pieces the heads of the Crocodiles, [till they floated] on the waters;

۱۴ 14 سرهای لویاتان را کوفته، و او را خوراک صحرانشینان گردانیده‌ای.

Thou, didst crush the heads of the Sea-Monster, Thou didst give him to be food, for the people of the deserts;

۱۵ 15 توچشمه‌ها و سیلها را شکافتی و نهرهای دائمی راخشک گردانیدی.

Thou, didst cleave open fountain and torrent, Thou, didst dry up rivers of steady flow:

۱۶ 16 روز از آن توست و شب نیزاز آن تو. نور و آفتاب را تو برقرار نموده‌ای.

Thine, is the day, Yea, thine, the night, Thou, didst establish moon and sun;

۱۷ 17 تمامی حدود جهان را تو پایدار ساخته‌ای. تابستان و زمستان را تو ایجاد کرده‌ای.

Thou, didst set up all the bounds of the earth, As for summer and winter, thou, didst form them!

۱۸ 18 ‌ای خداوند این را بیادآور که دشمن ملامت می‌کند و مردم جاهل نام تو را اهانت می‌نمایند.

Remember this, An enemy, hath reproached Yahweh, Yea, an impious people, have reviled thy Name.

۱۹ 19 جان فاخته خود را به‌جانور وحشی مسپار. جماعت مسکینان خود را تا به ابد فراموش مکن.

Do not deliver up, to a wild beast, the life of thy turtle-dove, The living host of thine oppressed ones, do not forget perpetually.

۲۰ 20 عهد خود را ملاحظه فرما زیرا که ظلمات جهان از مسکن های ظلم پراست.

Have respect to thy covenant, For the dark places of the earth are full of the habitations of violence.

۲۱ 21 مظلومان به رسوایی برنگردند. مساکین و فقیران نام تو را حمدگویند.

May the crushed one not again be confounded, As for the oppressed and the needy, let them praise thy Name.

۲۲ 22 ‌ای خدا برخیز و دعوای خود را برپادار؛ و بیادآور که احمق تمامی روز تو را ملامت می‌کند.

Arise! O God, plead thine own cause, Remember the reproach of thee, from the impious one, all the day:

۲۳ 23 آواز دشمنان خود را فراموش مکن وغوغای مخالفان خود را که پیوسته بلند می‌شود.

Do not forget the voice of thine adversaries, The noise of thine assailants, ascending continually.
