مزامیر 63

۱ 1 مزمور داود هنگامی که در صحرای یهودا بود ای خدا، تو خدای من هستی. در سحرتو را خواهم طلبید. جان من تشنه تواست و جسدم مشتاق تو در زمین خشک تشنه بی‌آب.

A Psalm of David, when he was in the wilderness of Judah. O God, Thou art my God, earnestly will I seek Thee; my soul thirsteth for Thee, my flesh longeth for Thee, in a dry and weary land, where no water is.

۲ 2 چنانکه در قدس بر تو نظر کردم تا قوت و جلال تو را مشاهده کنم.

So have I looked for Thee in the sanctuary, to see Thy power and Thy glory.

۳ 3 چونکه رحمت تو ازحیات نیکوتر است. پس لبهای من ترا تسبیح خواهد خواند.

For Thy lovingkindness is better than life; my lips shall praise Thee.

۴ 4 از این‌رو تا زنده هستم تو رامتبارک خواهم خواند. و دستهای خود را به نام توخواهم برافراشت.

So will I bless Thee as long as I live; in Thy name will I lift up my hands.

۵ 5 جان من سیر خواهد شدچنانکه از مغز و پیه. و زبان من به لبهای شادمانی تو را حمد خواهد گفت،

My soul is satisfied as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth doth praise Thee with joyful lips;

۶ 6 چون تو را بر بسترخود یاد می‌آورم و در پاسهای شب در تو تفکرمی کنم.

When I remember Thee upon my couch, and meditate on Thee in the night-watches.

۷ 7 زیرا تو مددکار من بوده‌ای و زیر سایه بالهای تو شادی خواهم کرد.

For Thou hast been my help, and in the shadow of Thy wings do I rejoice.

۸ 8 جان من به توچسبیده است و دست راست تو مرا تایید کرده است.

My soul cleaveth unto Thee; Thy right hand holdeth me fast.

۹ 9 و اما آنانی که قصد جان من دارند هلاک خواهند شد و در اسفل زمین فرو خواهند رفت.

But those that seek my soul, to destroy it, shall go into the nethermost parts of the earth.

۱۰ 10 ایشان به دم شمشیر سپرده می‌شوند و نصیب شغالها خواهند شد.

They shall be hurled to the power of the sword; they shall be a portion for foxes.

۱۱ 11 اما پادشاه در خدا شادی خواهد کرد و هر‌که بدو قسم خورد فخر خواهدنمود. زیرا دهان دروغ‌گویان بسته خواهد گردید.

But the king shall rejoice in God; every one that sweareth by Him shall glory; for the mouth of them that speak lies shall be stopped.
