مزامیر 55

۱ 1 برای سالار مغنیان. قصیده داود بر ذوات اوتار ای خدا به دعای من گوش بگیر! و خودرا از تضرع من پنهان مکن!

God, listen to my prayer, and do not turn away from me while I am pleading with you.

۲ 2 به من گوش فراگیر و مرا مستجاب فرما! زیرا که در تفکر خودمتحیرم و ناله می‌کنم.

Listen to me, and answer me, because I am overwhelmed by [all] my troubles.

۳ 3 از آواز دشمن و به‌سبب ظلم شریر، زیرا که ظلم بر من می‌اندازند وبا خشم بر من جفا می‌کنند.

My enemies cause me to be terrified; wicked people oppress me. They cause me to have great troubles; they are angry with me, and they hate me.

۴ 4 دل من در اندرونم پیچ و تاب می کند، و ترسهای موت بر من افتاده است.

I am terrified, and I am very much afraid that I will die.

۵ 5 ترس و لرز به من در‌آمده است. وحشتی هولناک مرا در‌گرفته است.

I am very fearful and I tremble/shake, and I am completely terrified.

۶ 6 و گفتم کاش که مرابالها مثل کبوتر می‌بود تا پرواز کرده، استراحت می‌یافتم.

I said, “I wish that I had wings like a dove! If I had wings, I would fly away and find a place to rest.

۷ 7 هرآینه بجای دور می‌پریدم، و درصحرا ماوا می‌گزیدم، سلاه.

I would fly far away and live in the desert.

۸ 8 می‌شتافتم بسوی پناهگاهی، از باد تند و از طوفان شدید.

I would quickly find a shelter from [my enemies] [who are like] [MET] a strong wind and rainstorm.”

۹ 9 ‌ای خداوند آنها را هلاک کن و زبانهایشان راتفریق نما زیرا که در شهر ظلم و جنگ دیده‌ام.

Lord, confuse my enemies, and cause their plans to fail, because I see them acting violently and causing strife in the city [of Jerusalem].

۱۰ 10 روز و شب بر حصارهایش گردش می‌کنند وشرارت و مشقت در میانش می‌باشد.

During [each] day and night they march around on top of its walls, committing crimes and causing trouble.

۱۱ 11 فسادهادر میان وی است و جور و حیله از کوچه هایش دور نمی شود.

They destroy [things] everywhere. They oppress and defraud [people] in the (marketplaces/public squares).

۱۲ 12 زیرا دشمن نبود که مرا ملامت می‌کرد والا تحمل می‌کردم؛ و خصم من نبود که بر من سربلندی می‌نمود؛ والا خود را از وی پنهان می‌ساختم.

If it were an enemy who was making fun of me, I could endure it. If it were someone who hates me, who despises me, I could hide from him.

۱۳ 13 بلکه تو بودی‌ای مرد نظیر من! ای یار خالص و دوست صدیق من!

But it is someone who is just like me, my companion, someone who was my friend [who is doing this to me].

۱۴ 14 که با یکدیگرمشورت شیرین می‌کردیم و به خانه خدا در انبوه می‌خرامیدیم.

We previously had many good talks together; we walked around together in God’s temple.

۱۵ 15 موت بر ایشان ناگهان آید وزنده بگور فرو روند. زیرا شرارت در مسکن های ایشان و در میان ایشان است. (Sheol h7585)

I desire/hope that my enemies will die suddenly; while they are still young, cause them to go down to the place where the dead people are. They they think evil things. (Sheol h7585)

۱۶ 16 و اما من نزد خدا فریاد می‌کنم و خداوندمرا نجات خواهد داد.

But I [will] ask Yahweh, [my] God, to help me, and he will save me.

۱۷ 17 شامگاهان و صبح وظهر شکایت و ناله می‌کنم و او آواز مرا خواهدشنید.

[Each] morning and [each] noontime and [each] evening I tell him what I am concerned about, and I moan, and he hears my voice.

۱۸ 18 جانم را از جنگی که بر من شده بود، بسلامتی فدیه داده است. زیرا بسیاری با من مقاومت می‌کردند.

I have [very] many enemies, but he will rescue me and bring me back safely from the battles that I fight.

۱۹ 19 خدا خواهد شنید و ایشان را جواب خواهد داد، او که از ازل نشسته است، سلاه. زیراکه در ایشان تبدیلها نیست و از خدانمی ترسند.

God is the one who has ruled everything forever, and he will listen to me. He will cause my enemies to be [defeated and] disgraced, because they do not change their evil behavior and they do not revere God.

۲۰ 20 دست خود را بر صلح اندیشان خویش دراز کرده، و عهد خویش را شکسته است.

My companion, [whom I mentioned previously], betrayed his friends and broke the agreement that he made with them.

۲۱ 21 سخنان چرب زبانش نرم، لیکن دلش جنگ است. سخنانش چرب تر از روغن لیکن شمشیرهای برهنه است.

What he said was [easy to listen to, like] butter [is easy to swallow] [MET], but in his inner being he hated people; his words were [soothing] like [olive] oil, [but they hurt people like] sharp swords do [MET].

۲۲ 22 نصیب خود را به خداوند بسپار و تو را رزق خواهد داد. او تا به ابدنخواهد گذاشت که مرد عادل جنبش خورد.

Put your troubles in Yahweh’s hands, and he will take care of you; he will never allow righteous [people] to experience disasters.

۲۳ 23 وتو‌ای خدا ایشان را به چاه هلاکت فرو خواهی آورد. مردمان خون ریز و حیله ساز، روزهای خودرا نیمه نخواهند کرد، لیکن من بر تو توکل خواهم داشت.

God, you will cause murderers [MTY] and liars to die before they have lived half as long as they expect to live; but [as for me], I will trust in you.
