مزامیر 52

۱ 1 برای سالار مغنیان. قصیده داود وقتی که دوآغ ادومی آمد و شاول را خبر داده، گفت که داود به خانه اخیملک رفت ای جبار چرا از بدی فخر می‌کنی؟ رحمت خدا همیشه باقی است.

To the chief Musician, Maschil, [A Psalm] of David, when Doeg the Edomite came and told Saul, and said to him, David is come to the house of Ahimelech. Why boastest thou thyself in mischief, O mighty man? the goodness of God [endureth] continually.

۲ 2 زبان تو شرارت را اختراع می‌کند، مثل استره تیز، ای حیله ساز!

Thy tongue deviseth mischiefs; like a sharp razor, working deceitfully.

۳ 3 بدی را از نیکویی بیشتر دوست می‌داری و دروغ را زیادتر از راست گویی، سلاه.

Thou lovest evil more than good; [and] lying rather than to speak righteousness. (Selah)

۴ 4 همه سخنان مهلک را دوست می‌داری، ای زبان حیله باز!

Thou lovest all devouring words, O [thou] deceitful tongue.

۵ 5 خدا نیز تو را تا به ابد هلاک خواهد کردو تو را ربوده، از مسکن تو خواهد کند و ریشه تورا از زمین زندگان، سلاه.

God shall likewise destroy thee for ever, he shall take thee away, and pluck thee out of [thy] dwelling-place, and root thee out of the land of the living. (Selah)

۶ 6 عادلان این را دیده، خواهند ترسید و بر او خواهند خندید.

The righteous also shall see, and fear, and shall laugh at him:

۷ 7 هان این کسی است که خدا را قلعه خویش ننمود بلکه به کثرت دولت خود توکل کرد و از بدی خویش خود را زورآور ساخت.

Lo, [this is] the man [that] made not God his strength; but trusted in the abundance of his riches, [and] strengthened himself in his wickedness.

۸ 8 و اما من مثل زیتون سبز در خانه خدا هستم. به رحمت خدا توکل می‌دارم تا ابدالاباد.

But I [am] like a green olive tree in the house of God: I trust in the mercy of God for ever and ever.

۹ 9 تو را همیشه حمد خواهم گفت، زیرا تو این را کرده‌ای. و انتظار نام تو را خواهم کشید زیرا نزدمقدسان تو نیکوست.

I will praise thee for ever, because thou hast done [it]: and I will wait on thy name; for [it is] good before thy saints.
