مزامیر 32

۱ 1 قصیده داود خوشابحال کسی‌که عصیان او آمرزیده شد و گناه وی مستور گردید.

[A Psalm] of instruction by David. Blessed [are they] whose transgressions are forgiven, and who sins are covered.

۲ 2 خوشابحال کسی‌که خداوند به وی جرمی درحساب نیاورد. و در روح او حیله‌ای نمی باشد.

Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin, and whose mouth there is no guile.

۳ 3 هنگامی که خاموش می‌بودم، استخوانهایم پوسیده می‌شد از نعره‌ای که تمامی روزمی زدم.

Because I kept silence, my bones waxed old, from my crying all the day.

۴ 4 چونکه دست تو روز و شب بر من سنگین می‌بود. رطوبتم به خشکی تابستان مبدل گردید، سلاه.

For day and night your hand was heavy upon me: I became thoroughly miserable while a thorn was fastened in [me]. (Pause)

۵ 5 به گناه خود نزد تواعتراف کردم و جرم خود را مخفی نداشتم. گفتم: عصیان خود را نزد خداوند اقرارمی کنم. پس تو آلایش گناهم را عفو کردی، سلاه.

I acknowledged my sin, and hid not mine iniquity: I said, I will confess mine iniquity to the Lord against myself; and you forgave the ungodliness of my heart. (Pause)

۶ 6 از این‌رو هر مقدسی در وقت اجابت نزد تودعا خواهد کرد. وقتی که آبهای بسیار به سیلان آید، هرگز بدو نخواهد رسید.

Therefore shall every holy one pray to you in a fit time: only in the deluge of many waters they shall not come near to him.

۷ 7 توملجای من هستی مرا از تنگی حفظ خواهی کرد. مرا به‌سرودهای نجات احاطه خواهی نمود، سلاه.

You are my refuge from the affliction that encompasses me; my joy, to deliver me from them that have compassed me. (Pause)

۸ 8 تو را حکمت خواهم آموخت و براهی که باید رفت ارشاد خواهم نمود و تو را به چشم خودکه بر تو است نصیحت خواهم فرمود.

I will instruct you and guide you in this way wherein you shall go: I will fix mine eyes upon you.

۹ 9 مثل اسب و قاطر بی‌فهم مباشید که آنها را برای بستن به دهنه و لگام زینت می‌دهند، والا نزدیک تونخواهند آمد.

Be you not as horse and mule, which have no understanding; [but you must] constrain their jaws with bit and curb, lest they should come near to you.

۱۰ 10 غمهای شریر بسیار می‌باشد. اما هر‌که برخداوند توکل دارد رحمت او را احاطه خواهد کرد.

Many are the scourges of the sinner: but him that hopes in the Lord mercy shall compass about.

۱۱ 11 ‌ای صالحان در خداوند شادی و وجد کنید و‌ای همه راست دلان ترنم نمایید.

Be glad in the Lord, and exult, you righteous: and glory, all you that are upright in heart.
