مزامیر 31

۱ 1 برای سالار مغنیان. مزمور داود ای خداوند بر تو توکل دارم پس خجل نشوم تا به ابد. در عدالت خویش مرانجات بده.

To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. In thee, O LORD, do I put my trust; let me never be ashamed: deliver me in thy righteousness.

۲ 2 گوش خود را به من فراگیر و مرا به زودی برهان. برایم صخره‌ای قوی و خانه‌ای حصین باش تا مرا خلاصی دهی.

Bow down thine ear to me; deliver me speedily: be thou my strong rock, for an house of defence to save me.

۳ 3 زیرا صخره وقلعه من تو هستی. به‌خاطر نام خود مرا هدایت ورهبری فرما.

For thou [art] my rock and my fortress; therefore for thy name’s sake lead me, and guide me.

۴ 4 مرا از دامی که برایم پنهان کرده اندبیرون آور.

Pull me out of the net that they have laid privily for me: for thou [art] my strength.

۵ 5 زیرا قلعه من تو هستی. روح خود رابه‌دست تو می‌سپارم. ای یهوه خدای حق تو مرافدیه دادی.

Into thine hand I commit my spirit: thou hast redeemed me, O LORD God of truth.

۶ 6 از آنانی که اباطیل دروغ را پیروی می‌کنند نفرت می‌کنم. و اما من بر خداوند توکل می‌دارم.

I have hated them that regard lying vanities: but I trust in the LORD.

۷ 7 به رحمت تو وجد و شادی می‌کنم زیرا مشقت مرا دیده و جانم را در تنگیهاشناخته‌ای.

I will be glad and rejoice in thy mercy: for thou hast considered my trouble; thou hast known my soul in adversities;

۸ 8 مرا به‌دست دشمن اسیرنساخته‌ای. پایهای مرا بجای وسیع قائم گردانیده‌ای.

And hast not shut me up into the hand of the enemy: thou hast set my feet in a large room.

۹ 9 ‌ای خداوند بر من رحمت فرما زیرا در تنگی هستم. چشم من از غصه کاهیده شد، بلکه جانم وجسدم نیز.

Have mercy upon me, O LORD, for I am in trouble: mine eye is consumed with grief, [yea], my soul and my belly.

۱۰ 10 زیرا که حیاتم از غم و سالهایم ازناله فانی گردیده است. قوتم از گناهم ضعیف واستخوانهایم پوسیده شد.

For my life is spent with grief, and my years with sighing: my strength faileth because of mine iniquity, and my bones are consumed.

۱۱ 11 نزد همه دشمنانم عار گردیده‌ام. خصوص نزد همسایگان خویش وباعث خوف آشنایان شده‌ام. هرکه مرا بیرون بینداز من می‌گریزد.

I was a reproach among all mine enemies, but especially among my neighbours, and a fear to mine acquaintance: they that did see me without fled from me.

۱۲ 12 مثل مرده از خاطر فراموش شده‌ام و مانند ظرف تلف شده گردیده‌ام.

I am forgotten as a dead man out of mind: I am like a broken vessel.

۱۳ 13 زیراکه بهتان را از بسیاری شنیدم و خوف گرداگرد من می‌باشد، زیرا بر من با هم مشورت می‌کنند و درقصد جانم تفکر می‌نمایند.

For I have heard the slander of many: fear [was] on every side: while they took counsel together against me, they devised to take away my life.

۱۴ 14 و اما من بر تو ای خداوند توکل می‌دارم و گفته‌ام خدای من توهستی.

But I trusted in thee, O LORD: I said, Thou [art] my God.

۱۵ 15 وقتهای من در دست تو می‌باشد. مرا ازدست دشمنانم و جفاکنندگانم خلاصی ده.

My times [are] in thy hand: deliver me from the hand of mine enemies, and from them that persecute me.

۱۶ 16 روی خود را بربنده ات تابان ساز و مرا به رحمت خود نجات‌بخش.

Make thy face to shine upon thy servant: save me for thy mercies’ sake.

۱۷ 17 ‌ای خداوند خجل نشوم چونکه تو را خوانده‌ام. شریران خجل شوندو در حفره خاموش باشند. (Sheol h7585)

Let me not be ashamed, O LORD; for I have called upon thee: let the wicked be ashamed, [and] let them be silent in the grave. (Sheol h7585)

۱۸ 18 لبهای دروغ گوگنگ شود که به درشتی و تکبر و استهانت برعادلان سخن می‌گوید.

Let the lying lips be put to silence; which speak grievous things proudly and contemptuously against the righteous.

۱۹ 19 زهی عظمت احسان توکه برای ترسندگانت ذخیره کرده‌ای و برای متوکلانت پیش بنی آدم ظاهر ساخته‌ای.

[Oh] how great [is] thy goodness, which thou hast laid up for them that fear thee; [which] thou hast wrought for them that trust in thee before the sons of men!

۲۰ 20 ایشان را در پرده روی خود از مکاید مردم خواهی پوشانید. ایشان را در خیمه‌ای از عداوت زبانها مخفی خواهی داشت.

Thou shalt hide them in the secret of thy presence from the pride of man: thou shalt keep them secretly in a pavilion from the strife of tongues.

۲۱ 21 متبارک بادخداوند که رحمت عجیب خود را در شهرحصین به من ظاهر کرده است.

Blessed [be] the LORD: for he hath shewed me his marvellous kindness in a strong city.

۲۲ 22 و اما من درحیرت خود گفتم که از نظر تو منقطع شده‌ام. لیکن چون نزد تو فریاد کردم آواز تضرع مرا شنیدی.

For I said in my haste, I am cut off from before thine eyes: nevertheless thou heardest the voice of my supplications when I cried unto thee.

۲۳ 23 ‌ای جمیع مقدسان خداوند او را دوست دارید. خداوند امنا را محفوظ می‌دارد و متکبران رامجازات کثیر می‌دهد.

O love the LORD, all ye his saints: [for] the LORD preserveth the faithful, and plentifully rewardeth the proud doer.

۲۴ 24 قوی باشید و دل شما راتقویت خواهد داد. ای همگانی که برای خداوندانتظار می‌کشید!

Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the LORD.
