| مزمور داود ای خداوند دعای مرا بشنو و به تضرع من گوش بده! در امانت وعدالت خویش مرا اجابت فرما! | ۱ 1 |
HEAR my prayer, O Lord, give ear to my supplications: in thy faithfulness answer me, and in thy righteousness.
| و بر بنده خودبه محاکمه برمیا. زیرا زنده‌ای نیست که به حضورتو عادل شمرده شود. | ۲ 2 |
And enter not into judgment with thy servant: for in thy sight shall no man living be justified.
| زیرا که دشمن بر جان من جفا کرده، حیات مرا به زمین کوبیده است و مرا درظلمت ساکن گردانیده، مثل آنانی که مدتی مرده باشند. | ۳ 3 |
For the enemy hath persecuted my soul; he hath smitten my life down to the ground; he hath made me to dwell in darkness, as those that have been long dead.
| پس روح من در من مدهوش شده، و دلم در اندرونم متحیر گردیده است. | ۴ 4 |
Therefore is my spirit overwhelmed within me; my heart within me is desolate.
| ایام قدیم را به یاد می‌آورم. در همه اعمال توتفکر نموده، در کارهای دست تو تامل می‌کنم. | ۵ 5 |
I remember the days of old; I meditate on all thy works; I muse on the work of thy hands.
| دستهای خود را بسوی تو دراز می‌کنم. جان من مثل زمین خشک، تشنه تو است، سلاه. | ۶ 6 |
I stretch forth my hands unto thee: my soul thirsteth after thee, as a thirsty land. (Selah)
| ای خداوند، بزودی مرا اجابت فرما زیرا روح من کاهیده شده است. روی خود را از من مپوشان، مبادا مثل فروروندگان به هاویه بشوم. | ۷ 7 |
Hear me speedily, O Lord: my spirit faileth: hide not thy face from me, lest I be like unto them that go down into the pit.
| بامدادان رحمت خود را به من بشنوان زیرا که بر تو توکل دارم. طریقی را که برآن بروم، مرا بیاموز زیرا نزدتو جان خود را برمی افرازم. | ۸ 8 |
Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning; for in thee do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto thee.
| ای خداوند مرا از دشمنانم برهان زیرا که نزدتو پناه برده‌ام. | ۹ 9 |
Deliver me, O Lord, from mine enemies: I flee unto thee to hide me.
| مرا تعلیم ده تا اراده تو را بجاآورم زیرا خدای من تو هستی. روح مهربان تو مرادر زمین هموار هدایت بنماید. | ۱۰ 10 |
Teach me to do thy will; for thou art my God: thy spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness.
| به‌خاطر نام خود‌ای خداوند مرا زنده ساز. به‌خاطر عدالت خویش جان مرا از تنگی برهان. | ۱۱ 11 |
Quicken me, O Lord, for thy name’s sake: for thy righteousness’ sake bring my soul out of trouble.
| و به‌خاطر رحمت خود، دشمنانم را منقطع ساز. و همه مخالفان جان مرا هلاک کن زیرا که من بنده توهستم. | ۱۲ 12 |
And of thy mercy cut off mine enemies, and destroy all them that afflict my soul: for I am thy servant.
